The course itself is quite challenging, with lots of narrow shots. The greens were kept pretty good the couple times I've been. But moreover, the restaurant was delicious. It's a nice ending to 18 holes of golf when you're exhausted and want a beer with good food.

Some of us arrived early to surprise the guest of honor and they willingly accommodated us and let us go to our outdoor table. Our waitress Adriana made sure everyone had cold drinks while we waited and then was patient as we all got settled and made decisions on what to order. The kids ranging in age from 5-14 were treated just like the adults as they ordered! We order a range of food from appetizers and kids meals to fish tacos and sirloin steaks. Each meal was beautifully presented. Our fav apps were the tuna poke nachos and the lump crab cakes. The fish tacos were generous and delicious as was the Fra diabolo and shrimp po boy. Each dish had sauces that were flavor filled. Our service was phenomenal from start to finish... Which was hurried because the rain moved in, and still as professional and courteous as the start of the night. We don't live right around the corner but we will be back! This is such as improvement on the previous restaurant at this location! Thanks for making our family gathering so wonderful.

We order the calamari the old way, the kids don't like it the new way, they like it the original way. They have always been accommodating and we have ordered it at least 12 times since it changed without a problem. The last two times we literally got half a plate of calamari with two or three chili peppers. We always ask for extra chili peppers and we normally get at least a dozen. No joke, there had to be about 10(each kid got 3 and I got one) calamari and three chili peppers on the plate. Unfortunately my kids were ravenous and I could not get a picture in time. I had not eaten it all day as well. I brought it up to the waitress and she said that it's probably because we asked for a different differently. That doesn't make sense, but it's not her fault. I didn't see the usual manager in there so I left it alone. I then ordered the Lamb lollipops which were so well done there was absolutely no pink inside. Also, got the lobster bisque which had absolutely no lobster inside. We have never had this issue before except for the last two times we have been here, including today . My daughter ordered the macaroni and cheese and it was like a soup water mix at the bottom. She ate a few bites and that was it. Pizza was good as always. Our waitress was very nice, I wasn't busting her chops because I was too hungry to wait for a re-do. 100% not worth $90. Floors were sooo sticky your feet made noise too. This has been our favorite spot and it is a few doors down, I sure hope we just hit a few bad days and its better next time.

I love trying new taco spots, so instead of driving to my favorite place in Meriden, I decided to…read moregive Taqueria a try. We ordered a variety of tacos so we could sample a little bit of everything. I had the al pastor tacos, I also ordered chorizo tacos, one of my sons ordered the birria tacos, and my other son chose the chicken tacos. The first thing I noticed was how fresh the tortillas were. They were soft, flavorful, and tasted homemade, which really elevated each taco. Overall, the tacos were fresh and enjoyable, but I found myself wanting a little more seasoning and bolder flavor. The al pastor was good, but I think a stronger marinade or more spice would have made it stand out more. The chorizo tacos, which are usually spicy, didn't really have that heat I was expecting. My son enjoyed the birria tacos, but we both agreed the consommé was milder than expected. When I tried the broth, it tasted a bit bland compared to others I've had. My other son liked his chicken tacos but said he just wanted more. The restaurant was clean, the service was friendly, and it's a convenient local option when you're craving tacos. Would I come back? Yes. I enjoyed the meal and would return to try other items on the menu. My only suggestion would be a bit more bold seasoning and heat across the board. The fresh tortillas and overall quality are strong. It just needs a little more flavor punch to really stand out. In my opinion.

We ordered chips and guacamole, the spicy shrimp plate, an array of tacos, and the star of the meal: the Birria empanada. Everything was flavored perfectly and everything was very fresh. We got the Korean fried chicken to start - the crispiness was perfect - and the beer battered haddock sandwich to split. It was SO nice that the sandwich arrived in 2 perfect half portions with half portions of fries too! The passionfruit iced tea was amazing. Everything tasted great and sitting outdoors on the patio with a breeze was such a nice way to break up our long drive. We took a walk around Cotton Hollow Preserve afterwards - right next door. I'd definitely return to this lovely restaurant in the future!

First off, the ambience of the place is fairly nice though you would not know it from how many of the other patrons choose to attire themselves. If you're looking for a upscale, dining experience, other patrons would suggest this is not the place for you. They started off by attending to put us at the wrong table per our reservation. The table was apparently filled, and they moved us to a different table, which was perfectly fine as it was a nice booth with a window right next to the table. They then gave us several menus from which to choose, which was confusing as there were so many different menus with similar food options, including brunch, menu, a burger, menu, a dinner menu, a Mother's Day, special menu, and the regular menu. There were also two separate drink menus. We started by ordering some drinks and an appetizer of the meat and cheeseboard for the table. We put in our full order at just before 12:59 PM and the meat and cheeseboard came out fairly quick. Overall, it was the best part of our time at the restaurant. With regards to our main meal, we had ordered an eggs, Benedict, a children's pancake and bacon, special, and a steak and eggs meal. That was apparently a mistake as it took them over one hour six minutes before the food hit the table and when it did, it was a mess. The medium rare steak was cooked to a well done with the eggs being extremely messy and not very runny for over easy. The potatoes were dark and charred in places, but we're not crispy by any stretch of the imagination. The Canadian bacon had not been rendered well on the eggs Benedict and one of the two poached eggs clearly had not been poached appropriately. Also, my daughter indicated that the syrup was way too sweet, which was especially surprising as she is someone with a sweet tooth. The pancakes themselves were extremely dense and unfair and served on a plastic tray missing one of the size that was supposed to come with the order. It is clear that the kitchen does not know what they are doing as I was the second person in a row to have issues with the cook temperature on my steak, a problem that appears to carry over to other aspects of the meal as well. At the one hour mark, I've been so frustrated. I had requested to speak with a manager and he was actually the one who brought out the food to our table. There was a good four minute gap between two of the meals being brought out and the third meal, which is what my wife had ordered for her Mother's Day brunch. By the time the eggs Benedict came out, I showed the manager my stake and eggs, and he agreed that it was cooked to a well done rather than the medium rare I had ordered. I had overheard the exact same issue on the next table over where the older woman had not gotten her meal until nearly all seven others at the table had completed their food. At that point, I sent back my steak and indicated I did not want it to be remade as I was done with the place. Shirley, thereafter, I was clear the rest of the family was of the same mind as the meals were a mess and cooked improperly. The manager eventually came over and indicated that he is going to take care of the entire CHUCK which makes sense sense more than 75% of the food ordered had been uneaten or inedible. The service was no better as waiters and waitresses would walk by and failed to refill empty water glasses, even though they would look right at the empty water glass and would have pictures of water in their hand at times. One waitress went to five separate tables around us, including table she was not serving and failed to fill our water, but filled water at other tables. Our waiter was also missing an action for a good portion of the meal. Despite having the meal taken care of, I did leave a small tip for the waiter, though nowhere near what I would have had the service been even somewhat competent. This is a major disappointment as the last experience I had at this restaurant for dinner had been so positive it convinced me to book the place for Mother's Day brunch. I'm not sure if this was a one off situation but I would never recommend a return to this place based on the experience I had this day. What's worse, our reservation appeared to fall between two rushes as we were the second table in the rush that showed up about 10 to 15 minutes after our arrival at the place. As such, our food should've been fairly quick and coming out but others who ordered their food more than 20 minutes after our table received it with no problem. I have to say that the Taco Bell we had as result of this poor food service was Myles and Myles better than the food experience at the restaurant itself.

A bun (brioche) that is substantial, but doesn't overwhelm the burger, and does not fall apart (this is very important). Perfectly cooked, with a slight charbroiled flavor. And the fries! Hand cut, perfect size, a little crispy and nice and steaming on the inside. Right up there with the best fries I've ever had. Bonnie was behind the bar, and handled everything with ease. So, great combo of CB and fries. Rivals the old Mannions (Yonkers), Squires (Westchester NY), and My Brother's Place (PA), my other favorites. 5 charbroiled stars

Although they are still operating the kitchen out of a food truck we figured we'd go anyway to support the new location. We called in advance specifically to confirm the kitchen hours since we were about 30 minutes away. They told us the kitchen closes at 9pm. Perfect, we can make it - or so we thought. When we arrived around 8:40PM we headed to the bar and asked again to confirm that the kitchen was still open. She made it seem like it was and started handing us full menus. About 10 seconds later another woman said no, the kitchen has been closed. To find the kitchen closed early was frustrating to say the least - especially after confirming over the phone and driving all that way. Head of house answering the phones either need to be more aware of actual operating hours or the kitchen staff needs to stick to posted operating hours. I'm not sure who is at fault but it left a very bad taste in our mouths and I honestly don't plan on returning anytime soon.
