We met friends there several weeks ago and it was average Mexican food. Service seemed a bit scattered and it was almost impossible to get our server to bring us more water. We literally had to go up to the bar (after the second time we asked him) to get a pitcher for our table. A pitcher of water. Two at our table got the Spicy Diablo Shrimp and both said it had quite the kick - but both enjoyed. I got the Shrimp in Garlic sauce and the butter/garlic was overwhelming to me. Lots of shrimp (they certainly didn't shrimp on the shrimp), but the sauce sort of ruined it for me. Drinks/margaritas were good. Overall - just average of a place. read more

When we were walking in two people were leaving and raving about the experience and the food! We were greeted warmly at the door. The place is cute and has a fun ambiance. Once seated, our waiter took our drink orders and they made good cocktails. Then, we ordered an appetizer and dinner at the same time for ease. Then...we waited...and waited...and waited. Finally, we asked about our appetizer and they said it would be coming out soon. People who were seated after us got served but our food hadn't come. And we waited. The food was delicious when we got it, but it took a really long time. I ordered the most expensive item on the menu and I'd give it a 10 out of 10 for flavors- Torro carne asada! The queso fundido and the tacos were also delicious! When they brought the bill, it was clear they knew the experience overall wasn't great because they put two cards for $10 off two meals but didn't say anything about the experience. I would have appreciated a gesture during the time we were there - an appetizer, a drink, another thing to try, just to say, sorry about the wait and we value you and your experience, but that didn't happen. It was my first, and definitely will be my last time visiting this restaurant. I came for the birria tacos and the Waiter (I believe his name is Gabriel) did a horrible job. My order was wrong TWICE and it was cold and took way too long. I don't recall a time that I never left a tip while dining in. Gabriel didn't deserve it at all . His manager definitely did. This restaurant always has the cutest decorations. Their complimentary chips and salsa are so delicious and fresh! You can taste it in every crunchy bite. We absolutely love Torro, however, we had a bad experience tonight. Called in for a carry out order and one of the items I asked for was Chips & Guac. Get home with food and it's salsa. Check the recipe, they rang me up for salsa. Go back and explain the mishap and the guy up front argued with me and made it seem like I caused the inconvenience. Most places right the wrong with no issues. Not sure why this was such a problem especially considering he was very distracted while taking my order on the phone. read more

We visited after only a month of their opening. Short review: good but a bit overpriced. E.g., $16 drinks that would typically be $12 (btw, the Paloma is excellent) Interesting menu. We struggled to find the "fusion" in Asian/Mexican Fusion. Items were mostly Asian or Mexican. Ambiance is good, but the "Under the Wave of Kanagawa " crashing into a pyramid seems to not be thought out IMO. A bit overpriced for the quality of the dish. Specifically, the guacamole is overpriced. Not a bad dish; simply not competitively priced. Definitely get the tamales. They are spectacular! Next time, I'll only get them. Side beans were canned-- wish they were homemade too. Lamb ramen was good. Flavorful, but small portion for $20 and boxed ramen. Wish they were homemade. This was the one dish where we found the "fusion", and it was tasty. Looking forward to exploring more of their entrees like the birria tacos and chicken pozole. Sushi rolls are good but compared to sushi bars, not competitively price (Asian Harbor just next door!). A "meh" experience but we'll try them again after they've settled in a bit. read more

Came here during the soft opening. People have been saying a lot of good things on the local facebook groups. Wanted to see what the hype was all about. Walking in, very nice decor, beautiful mural on the back wall. The bar, lounge, seating gave it a very nice vibe. Even the music was great, Odesza was playing. Our waitress did not know the menu very well. We had a few different questions, one about drinks and the other about menu items. It appeared she had not tried any of the items either. I felt this place would have done a tasting menu for their employee's. The tamales were not ready as an appetizer. We really wanted to try them. Decided to try the Elote instead, the price just didn't seem right. After getting the elote, it was literally a corn stalk cut into 4 splits with some seasoning and mayo. I've been to a lot of places that serve elote, this had to of been the highest price and was not that great. Sushi was very tasty. No complaints at all. Drinks were good but menu did not have any descriptions, very vague at most. The margarita could be a bit more stiff as well. Need to get ingredients involved on the cocktail menu. Overall, place is solid. Would like to see staff more knowledgable of the menu. Add description to the cocktails, would like to come again during the grand opening. read more

Call her taking them day he was for how long ago forever and he goes we also enjoyed attending to the spicy tuna every other day they have a Japanese sushi chef in the restaurant and the presentation was amazing delicious very fresh everything on the plate was delicious including the wasabi and ginger. For entrees we enjoyed chicken Mole and drunken noodles with chicken starting with a drunken noodles it was a strong peanut taste it was delicious everything in it including the mushrooms and the vegetables was cooked perfectly and perfectly seasoned and delicious. The only mess with the chicken was it was supposed to come with red rice and instead came with a garlic white rice although it tasted good we were kind of excited to try the red rice. I asked about dessert and was told they had a flan and they translate cheesecake he ordered both Aswan was the star of the meal shaped like a heart came of a large sliced strawberry on top and whip cream it was excellent play the Tres leches why is ice cold and delicious definitely homemade very strong strawberry taste very sweet rich and creamy. All in all it was an excellent dinner out with my family we enjoyed ourselves immensely and had delicious food please come out and give it a try it's a brand new restaurant. read more

Went there Saturday night. Food was amazing. Definitely big portions. I had the Steak Chimichanga. Definitely huge. Wife had the Quesabirria tacos. Consome was flavored really well. I went there on Friday March 15, 2024 for the first time ever. The food tasted good and the appetizers were good too. But I ended up with food poisoning that night after eating there. I spent 4 days in the hospital. For my Birthday!!!! I tried to call on Wednesday to inform a manager of the situation.
