Paint and Sip Selena event
Aurelio S.

April was our waitress for the paint and sip Selena event . She was very helpful when choosing drinks of choice . Place is very nice and clean. The music is set at a reasonable setting where you can still hold a conversation with your peers . Food was delicious , we tried the arrachera tacos along with the esquite. Chips and salsa were accompanied with our drinks. Will be coming back .

Oasis is a hidden gem! It doesn't look like all that from the outside, but then you take a chance and walk in and find yourself in an amazing upbeat modern Mexican restaurant. Reservations are a good idea! Service is sincere and on game. The menu is not typical. Typical is available, but Mexican Ramen, pasta and even Tomahawk steaks are on the menu. Definitely well thought out and lots of options. Entertainment on weekends. We saw Santa, enjoyed the Windy City Elvis and a dope DJ and percussionist all on one night.

Went in for a bite and drinks Friday night. We were greeted when we walked in and taken to a seat. Everyone was extremely friendly. Chips and salsa were brought right away. They happened to be coke of the best chips and salsa I've had in a long time. Music is playing and we saw someone celebrating a birthday and they got to wear a hat and birthday shot, I thought that was a nice touch. The chicken and steak enchilada in green sauce were good. It came with rice and beans. The rice was semi-warm, but the beans were kind of cold. Assuming they were possibly justt sitting under a warmer. I will go back to try more dishes.

Margarita tower - AVOID AT ALL COSTS, not good at all

There was some good but more bad... Let's start with the good! My favorite drink was the only drink on the menu with a small fire while being served. I tried about 4-6 more drinks on the menu and all were made horribly. I'm not trying to be mean, just honest. My favorite food item was the Bizza. Was it a 10/10.. no, but it was the better item. I did get the Porterhouse steak as well how ever... it was SUPER fatty. Most of it was fat, and I couldn't eat it. Without trying, I've already mentioned some of the bad things. To continue, they serve Elote on the Cobb. That's fine except when you're dressed up for dinner and you have to bite into the Cobb and get sauce all over your face. It's not cute. I also got the "crispy shrimp"... it is suppose to be an appetizer but is LITERALLY a shrimp salad LOL. Lastly, the name is Oasis. I expected the decor and design to be over the top! I want to walk in there and feel like I am somewhere else immediately. The staff was attentive and nice. Overall, I feel like this restaurant wasn't curated off of a passion for the food or restaurant industry. It was curated for money purposes and in turn, they are missing KEY elements. You can't just throw things together and say "it's good enough". That's what every drink and dish screamed to me. I would not return.

The vibes are amazing !! Immediately as soon as you walk in you feel like you traveled to Tulum . Fun atmosphere to enjoy a date night or girls night out . The food & drinks were so delicious full of flavor and presentation 10/10! Follow me at @ohmymairaa for the full foodie experience!

Updated review: went there recently for my anniversary since I had such a great experience the last time. Service is still very friendly but the food and drinks were not up to par. I got the steak fajitas and my husband got the steak. Both lacked flavor including salt. Extremely bland. The rice and beans tasted like they were old. We had the street corn as an appetizer and although the presentation was nice, the corn was soggy like it had been sitting in water for too long. I had a margarita and it wasn't good. I suppose since Thursdays they have margaritas for $5, they don't put much effort to them. Needless to say I won't be back. Other people that tried the restaurant when it first opened also agree that food and drink quality has gone down.

Had shrimp tacos. They didn't take the tails off the shrimp. Also rice is very overcooked and bright orange. We did enjoy our drinks very much and the salsa.

If I could give a half, I'd make it 3.5 stars.. the restaurant is in a small Mini mall but don't let that distract you from trying. Was sat quickly and received service promptly. The chips are salsa were good start , ordered an espresso martini it was good, above average . Ordered the birria fries for appetizer and those were very good, fries were crispy and meat and cheese over them was plentiful and flavorful . As entree had the quesobirria tacos w consume which I enjoyed . Good flavor and consume was hot and went well w food. Other entree was shrimp Diablo, which unfortunately was disappointing . The shrimp was overcooked and the sauce was not very tasty . It came with rice and beans which were decent . I would come back to try another dish for sure .

Julie was the sweetest! Food was so yummy. 100/10 recommend the Mexican Ribeye Steak. The tulum fuego tastes delicious, like sour green apple jolly ranchers. We drove 45 minutes out of our way to try this place and I'm happy we did! I will say the only downside was the churros. They were hard as rocks.

Parlano Pasta with chicken

We love this place! The staff is wonderful, friendly and attentive. Additionally the food and drink are great. I love the Mescal margaritas and Mojitos. Today I had the Pablano Pasta. The poblano sauce was rich and favorable with a wonderful warm heat. My husband had the carnitas tacos and will definitely order them again. If you haven't been here you need to try it soon!

My husband and I were excited to try this place out. Highly disappointed. We got catfished by the pics and TikTok videos. We started by ordering the street corn, which is described as "grilled" corn, def not grilled. It was mushy, over cooked and flav. I ordered steak enchiladas with poblano sauce. The sauce was also flavorless and didn't have as much meat as I expected. The "Mexican rice" was an absolute disgrace to rice. It was like an expired box of uncle Ben that someone didn't follow the directions to. It was mushy and didn't have any flavor. The beans were salty. My husband ordered the bizza. We weren't sure if they forgot to season it or add anything extra to it, because again, flavorless. We really wanted to like this place, but even the customer service wasn't the greatest. Our waitress came to us twice throughout our visit. I wouldn't recommend.

Stopped impromptu this evening with my husband and had the best service at the bar! The bartenders were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The cocktails were AMAZING!!!!!!! Thank you to our bartenders Natalie and Alynha (sp?). We will definitely be back because of your customer service and attention to detail. The margaritas were some of the best we ever had.

Los esquitas

I really wanted to like this place... I went in excited. I saw the reviews on Google. Which were a 4.3 and Yelp had three stars.. unfortunately for Oasis I have to agree with Yelp,.... We first started off with Los esquitas corn with mayo lime and cojitpa cheese ... Pretty simple but it was delicious.. The starter tortilla chips with salsa were fresh... After that it kind of went downhill.. We ordered the cebolitas .. I don't know what to say. I can't tell you what they gave us. Well I can... they were the tops of green onions...or the top ofthe cebolitas no bulb so we returned it, the server said the cook tried to explain how it happened and that the onion cooked down, which that's not true... But okay I'll overlook that... . My daughter had ordered flautas with tinga chicken.. But the enchiladas that I had ordered had the same chicken which was too spicy for me. I wasn't expecting a Chipotle chicken inside of an enchilada... .... I also ordered the chicken quesadillas which had surprisingly normal chicken in it. That chicken probably should have been used in your enchiladas..... In any case, I want to say the server was very attentive. She did offer to fix it.... Which I do appreciate but I hate to waste food especially when this could have been avoided by having a full description in your menu Unless the cook just decided to put whatever he had.... I'm trying to look at all directions and this might be the way that they serve it , and that's okay, it's just not my thing.... I do give credit where credit is deserved. The plates were presented with care. Very clean and the restaurant itself was very lively with great music... I am not a drinker but I did see some creative drinks come out which were served in this nifty five-tier drink holder. It was very unique and made it easier for the servers to carry .. They have plenty of parking, and they're right off the 355 exit.. although my experience was not appealing for myself to go back I wouldn't want people not to go. There is plenty of items on their menu that might be to their liking.. And all because I'm not a fan of very spicy food, doesn't mean that it's not delicious in other people's eyes or pallets... .

Once seated, our waiter took our drink orders and they made good cocktails. Then, we ordered an appetizer and dinner at the same time for ease. Then...we waited...and waited...and waited. Finally, we asked about our appetizer and they said it would be coming out soon. People who were seated after us got served but our food hadn't come. And we waited. The food was delicious when we got it, but it took a really long time. I ordered the most expensive item on the menu and I'd give it a 10 out of 10 for flavors- Torro carne asada! The queso fundido and the tacos were also delicious! When they brought the bill, it was clear they knew the experience overall wasn't great because they put two cards for $10 off two meals but didn't say anything about the experience. I would have appreciated a gesture during the time we were there - an appetizer, a drink, another thing to try, just to say, sorry about the wait and we value you and your experience, but that didn't happen. We were so excited to have a new place, but I don't think we'll go back.

FUNDIDO FOR YOU & ME…read more Melty cheese is always a hit, and Burritos Mi Tierra does it better than most. In picking our date nights, my wife and I alternate between trying new places and revisiting a dozen or so "greatest hits". If we find ourselves in the mood for tried-and-true margaritas, we'll come to this family-owned restaurant in Romeoville about a mile south of I-55 on Weber Rd. Their house chips & salsa are awesome--the green salsa is milder while the red salsa is hotter. You can get a large margarita frozen or on-the-rocks ($15), but expect them to be strong either way. My wife enjoys their Michelada ($9), a drink similar to a bloody mary that's made with beer instead of vodka. We always get the queso fundido con chorizo ($10.75), a marvelously greasy appetizer that comes with corn or flour tortillas. Sometimes our tummies are fine afterwards, sometimes the grease goes through us like an angry lightning bolt. It's so good I'll happily suffer the consequences the next day, IDGAF. Bread = 4.5 Circuses = 4.5 Tacos al pastor ($3.50/ea) get a thumbs-up, however the tampiqueña ($22) was a little disappointing. I know skirt steak is generally a tougher cut, but this was greyer and chewier than what I've gotten at other places. It was served with an enchilada, rice, beans, lettuce and tomato. The best thing on the menu is unquestionably the burrito suizas ($11), a gigantic 1-1/2lb burrito filled with meat, beans, veggies and sour cream with melted cheese on top. It's as tasty as it is massive and will feed a hungry person for two meals! Their vanilla flan ($4.50) is pretty good, too. * TL;DR * Burritos Mi Tierra is one of our favorite Mexican spots in the area, and the unexpected closure of Naperville's On the Border (R.I.P) means we'll probably come back here more often. Service has been consistent, the décor is cute, and their margaritas are some of the best around. Queso fundido and burrito suizas are standout dishes, authentic and fairly-priced. We hope these guys remain in business for a long time! Muy recomendable.
