This is a great restaurant if you want tacos, tamales and some delicious food! I come here kinda often as I live in town. The lady at the counter is always friendly and upbeat. I used Taco Patio this weekend for a Taco bar for my Daughters party and to say it was phenomenal is an understatement. From the pickup to setup everything was easy and labeled and packaged well. Coming here for the first time was like a crap shoot because from the outside it looked like crap. It's not one of the better looking places in Lockport to be sure but it's better inside. Taco Patio had tacos of course, along with burritos and more Mexican American stuff. Has no alcohol so no margaritas which blows. You can get a lot for cheap especially on combos so it's good to feed big groups. At first it appeared to be closed. It just turned out there wasn't any other customers in here. The building has a drive thru. Apparently most customers use it. Even so, it wasn't busy inside or outside. We went inside and ordered at the counter, which was like ordering at a fast food restaurant. A few Meal Deals are about $10, which are pretty good combos. You get the main thing along with a drink and sides. I got the #6 which was the Bean And Rice Burrito. She got tacos. Burrito was massive. This was a lot even without the beans and rice sides. Great lunch with the family on a sunny Saturday afternoon before work! We all had various meals, but the All Star of everything had to be the Pepper and Egg burrito. I love anything Pepper and Egg and so this elite combo wrapped into a tortilla with melted cheese was absolutely delicious. I would prefer a bit more substance to it next time, so maybe I'll add beans and rice on the next visit. At any rate, combined with the spicy green sauce it was scrumptious! The two youngest went with the Quesadilla Kids Meals. One had french fries as a side while the other had beans and rice. The quesadilla had the right cheese to tortilla ratio and was melty goodness! The French fries were not too special, but we came for Mexican food and not American. The beans and rice were more fillers, but when added to our Pepper and Egg it completed it. My son decided on two fish tacos, one with hard shell and the other with flour. He also had a fish taco on flour. He was mighty impressed with the taste and flavor combination. Typically he cannot do too much dairy so after the first fish taco that had spicy mayo he had to slow down. No stopping him, though, as he eventually progressed. The husband and I also split a Chille Rellano Burrito in addition to the Pepper and Egg. I was not impressed with this one as I'm not a lover of the liquidy cheese used. It seems many Mexican establishments are going the way of liquid cheese in a Chille Rellano and I cannot go with that. I prefer Monterrey Jack or Chihuahua, personally. But to each their own. My eldest only had an Horchata and seemed to enjoy it. Our sides of guacamole were nothing to write home about, but a pleasant addition. I truly enjoyed the chips and salsa! Their salsa is more like a Pico de Gallo which my husband isn't as fond of, but I adored it! Yummers! The manager(owner?) on duty was an absolute delight! He was very kind and thoughtful, ensuring all of our needs were taken care of. He was training a new employee and was very patient and not condescending at all to him. Yesterday I stopped in and grabbed a burrito on my way to work. It was so good, it's an easy stop for me and so I stopped again. Night and Day. Today's burrito was horrible. Yesterday burrito was wrapped well. Browned on the grill. Ingredients well balanced. Tonight's burrito was not grilled and seemed like it was wrapped in tissue paper, fell apart while eating. Contents of my steak burrito was basically lettuce and beans with a shit ton of tomatoes (where's the beef?!) I'mma be kind about there "hot sauce" bc it looks like dirty sink water whoever is actually very good. So this place is a fast food kinda feel. I have had some good experiences and some bad. I normally get the 3 taco meal with a mix if meats. I have had them mess that up giving me wrong meat or the meat was just not that flavorful. I order curtis and their apple pie thing a lot too but man sometimes they are old and hard. I have always liked this place. They have a huge menu of different things to try. I have gotten tacos, nacho supreme, super fajita on a pita and taqueria and all were really good. Drive through is super slow but I assume that's because everything is being made fresh. Prices seem a touch high, but it's still worth heading over here to try the wide assortment of food. read more

I wanted to like this place. It's local, it has a drive-thru within a nice well-kept building. What's not to like? Well, the food. it's really different, and not in a good way. I ordered two tacos--one steak and one ground beef. The ground beef was nondescript; just bland, without a hint of cumin or garlic as would be expected in Mexican cuisine. It was smothered in a deep pile of cold lettuce, which cooled the meat to leftovers temperature. The 'steak?" Cubes of unpleasant, mealy (as in chemically tenderized) stuff that was as unseasoned as the ground beef. Most bizarre of all were the salsas. The red and green, watery mysteries seemed to originate from within a fast-lube shop rather than a kitchen, with their petroleum flavor. This place is over priced, at least for their shrimp tacos. I decided to try this place for the first time today. I ordered 1 shrimp taco with everything ( lettuce and cheese) accept the sauce I asked for it on the side. I had no expectations at all. I opened the wrapper to see a pound of lettuce, regular amount of cheese, and maybe 5 penny sized shrimps on my taco. I pulled off half the lettuce and took a bite to still only taste lettuce. What a miraculous difference a new cook makes. I have eaten here three days in a row ordering the same meal "G" otherwise known as Carne Asada plate. It comes with a generous perfectly cooked perfectly seasoned skirt steak, fresh house made guacamole, several pieces of fresh avocado, ice cold shredded lettuce and tomatoes. It also comes with a deep fried jalapeño pepper, perfectly cooked and delicious all by itself. The guacamole is fresh made creamy and delicious it is a perfect contrast to the piping hot seasoned steak. Today is Sunday September 9, 2018 this is my third day in a row eating this for lunch/dinner. I am currently three months into a ketosis diet and this is perfect for me, as I take home the generous portions of refried beans, rice, and 4 piping hot tortillas from my son. The staff here are very cordial the order taking process is very easy the menu is visible and easy to understand, they do offer specials and the dining room is clean and bright and cheerful and very reminiscent of a Mexican cantina. I am so glad that I gave this place another chance. Also by the way the Fried ice cream is phenomenal, says so by my 12-year-old son who tried it last night I looked at the portion and for the price under five dollars it was a huge plenty of whipped cream chocolate sauce and ice cream and a perfectly Fried sugary cinnamon churro shell, job well done here 100%. Ordered steak burrito through Grubhub and when I got it there way no red/green sauce on the side and when I cut it in half, greased poured out of it and it tasted nasty. so I called the restaurant to let him know, and got the runaround of how good their meat is and they never had a complaint on a steak burrito before and really didn't care to try to make it up.
