Worst service ever compared to other Torrid locations around DFW. I had to return my recent store order because their website deal for exact same item were better. Instead feeling sorry about how their website sales don't price match their in store purchase and causing me to have to go return the in store order, this customer service person made me feel like an annoyance for her to have to do a return. Since I have two same orders in the system. I want to make sure she returns the item to the in store purchase, not the online store purchase where I get the bigger discount. She was so rude and not letting me to ask questions and flat out said she already did the return and no change can be made. That wasn't even my question, my question is which order did she made the return towards. Moreover, after my return is settled, I was shopping around for t shirt, she flat out told her coworker she can't stand me and she's frustrated with me, right in front of me when I'm still in the store. Wow, the audacity and lack of professionalism as a service industry employee! And guess what! After I left the store that day, their store manager actually went on my LinkedIn profile and stalk my profile! My LinkedIn shows she viewed my profile. So out of line. I'm calling their corporate and reporting this. Do not go here, avoid this place if you can! I'm a long time customer for Torrid, this is horrible service! Unbelievable! read more

If I could give this zero stars I would, as I was somehow made to feel both entirely invisible AND like the biggest annoyance ever all THREE times I've shopped at this location. I visited this location manyyyyyy, many months apart, each time hoping the girls who worked there would be at the very least kind. All three times I was not greeted, not asked if I needed help, and there was no amount of kindness shown to me, despite it being my nature to be overly kind to people regardless. My last time in there was a weekday at around 2 or 3 PM. No one else was shopping in the store. I was NOT greeted, not asked if I needed help, I was perceived by the two women working, however, neither acknowledged me by word of mouth in ANY capacity whatsoever for at least 5 minutes, at which point I was the one who had to approach and speak to them to ask for a fitting room with two arms full of heavy clothes. Once in the fitting room, I was never checked on, never helped. I felt super unwelcome and embarrassed all three times at this location and I will never go back. When I left the store I felt as though I was back in high school, and that the two people inside were then gossiping and speaking poorly about me once I could not hear. I honestly cannot say if I've ever had this poor of service at any store I've ever shopped at, ever. I genuinely cannot remember a single other instance worse than this, which is crazy because I really thought the visit to this location many months prior to that would be as bad as it could get. I almost never leave Yelp reviews but I just thought about how I wanted to visit Torrid to find something specifically that I'm looking for, as the last time was at this awful location a few months ago and it just triggered some anger. I really should have reported this or left a review sooner. I know there's no way I'm the only one who has dealt with this at this location based on the reviews I've reas today here. This location is by far the closest to me, but I will be going way out of my way to go to the Firewheel location to avoid the inevitable rudeness (borderline cruelty) and appalling laziness from this specific location's staff. Would love a chance to talk more with corporate about this, as I believe one of the women was the manager of this location and that she'd been there at least one of my awful trips prior. I can provide the specific date I was there, as well, as I opted to have something shipped to me rather than return back to pick something up, so it's in my email somewhere. I'd give 5 stars alone on the merchandise HOWEVER the 2 stars are for the staff and grouped in with a few of my recent visits. Tonight was the icing on the cake for my review. Tonight I was HIGHLY disappointed in the attitude and treatment received from your two sales associates. I went in a few minutes prior to close to check on my rewards, online shows I had about $75 or more in rewards that I was able to use until the end of the month. As I've done years prior because it lines up with my birthday EVERY year in the first week of November. I wasn't planning on shopping so late, but figured I would ask about the rewards and return in the morning to shop. I understand the frustration of late shoppers before close as I've worked retail. BUT no matter what you always treat someone with a warm greeting and respect. I had EVERY right to be there as it was not yet 9 o'clock. But the attitude received by one sales associate and who I assume to be the store manager was enough to say goodbye to the Preston/Park location in Plano, Texas. The attitude of being superior to me, inconvenienced by my presence and attitude directed towards me as if I was incompetent was appalling. I have had a few experiences in this store prior to this evening to warrant moving my business to Old Navy next door or to Maurices in Frisco or even Forever 21. Who I assume to be your competition. The attitudes of your sales team at your Plano, Texas location need a serious adjustment. On top of everything I was told my rewards were completely different than what I was talking about and they were grouping me in with a promotion that was going on the beginning of this month. So, I'll be honest. I haven't been a Torrid shopper in about six years. I have always thought of Torrid as being the low-quality, teen-style store that it was back then. Things have CHANGED! The quality of the brand has increased substantially and the style is on point. I went to this Torrid location with a friend because she had been raving about how great the brand is. I'm so glad I did! There was a great selection, comfortable fitting rooms, and, best of all, stellar customer service. The ladies helped us find the sizes we were looking for and made suggestions for styling the clothing we liked. The clearance was also an additional 50% off and boy did we enjoy that! I will definitely be going back to Torrid (in fact, we already have!) and to this location! In highly recommend the Plano location. They have made a Torrid customer out of me for sure! read more

I've shopped at many Torrid's in the area to other states I've lived. This location, by far, is the only and worst one I've been to with customer service. Usually, I love Torrid staff friendly and helpful. Well, that is not this location at all. The feeling when you walk into the store is like no other torrid I've been in. They had one worker who was nice and asking those if they needed help. Great. However, the check-out cashier, you could tell, didn't want to be there, let alone help. In the last year I stumbled across the Torrid chain and have been impressed ever since. This specific location is across the street from my office so I frequent here often. All the associates are really friendly and always willing to help. Being a newbie I had no idea about the way the store was set up or the sizing system and the associate helped answer all my questions without making me feel like a nuisance. The store is a little crowded as they try to jam pack it full with the latest fashions. Make sure you make your way to the back right hand size of the store close to the dressing room. Here you will find all the discounted items. Torrid is priced a little high but they always have a store-wide sale going and then discounted items in the back. I honestly just wait to what I want goes on sale or I have Torrid Haute Cash to spend. You earn the Haute Cash as you spend there, just make sure you save your receipt and pay attention to the dates to when you can redeem it. One of my favorite features of Torrid are the dressing rooms. They are roomy and the lightening is great. The absolutely best part is that they are equipped with fans that you can turn on so when you get hot trying clothes on you just turn the fan on. It's absolutely amazing and that little touch that really goes a long way. I like this store due to it's location and pretty much always finding my size here. This is my favorite Torrid location. Most of the time I'm greeted when I walk in, and the associates had no problem helping me when I visited. During the Christmas season, they helped me save so much with coupons I didnt know I had, holding items, and finding items I needed at another store. Ill be back for sure. read more

If you're looking for great service, quality and satisfaction come to Torrid! I can't afford to shop here on the regular, the prices are pretty expensive but this is the only store that I can buy my jeans from and feel comfortable in them. I've gotten three pairs of jeans and I love them! As a thicker gal, the jeans fit perfectly in the right places without gapping in the back. The jeans are really great quality but for around $60 a piece I always wait until there's a sale. This weekend they had 30% off everything and I had a $10 credit on my loyalty card. I would definitely sign up because you get discounts and it's free to register. The service is always great when I shop here, the sales associates are very warm and friendly and they're there to help. Some have helped me find specific pants that I was looking for, and have helped get items for me when I was in the dressing room. I usually don't do this, but they're super friendly and want to help. Make sure that you tell the associate at the cashier who helped you out, because they get credit for it! read more

This store is located in the same shopping area as Old Navy and Ulta. It is the same as most Torrid stores - small and jam-packed. It's not the most comfortable shopping experience. The store is too dimly lit and the back is somewhat dark due to being far from the front window. The aisles are almost non existent. Some clothes are hanging too high to reach without assistance. A too large accessories table is crammed right in front of the checkout counter, making it difficult to stand in line. Customer service has been average to good. The best part about the store are the dressing rooms. They have individual ceiling fans. I have found prices for the apparel to be too expensive for the quality, but they usually run sales and offer Haute Cash. Sign up for offers online. read more

The store is great, but remember they go by mall hours. So even though online it states the store is open at 11am on Sunday's. They don't open until 12pm. Friendly staff, but not a huge selection. They seem to run out of sizes in a lot of items quickly. But all in all the store is well run and I can usually find something good. Many of the items are wayy over priced for the quality of clothes, clearance is your best bet here. read more

I just had a horrible experience at this Torrid location today and am so incredibly disappointed. I had two shirts picked out, one that I was definitely going to buy today and another I was on the fence about. I gathered a few more shirts that I wanted to try on before making my final decision and went to the dressing rooms. There was no one in line and at least one completely empty dressing room, but the store associated said I could not use it because it was being held for someone else and that two other people were ahead of me. Neither of these ladies were in sight. They were still out browsing the store, while I was right there ready to do a final try on and then check out. Why should I have to wait for two people who are not even ready to try on when there are empty dressing rooms? I was so frustrated I ended up just leaving without buying anything. I did not have time to wait for two other people to finish browsing at their leisure before I could try on anything despite having an open room. I have never seen such an inefficient and honestly unfair system for running dressing rooms before. I was ready to spend money today at your store, but did not, and probably won't be back because I was so frustrated and disappointed by this whole experience. read more

Torrid stores have so many clothes crammed into such a small store and this location is no different. They have some nice things but its a scavenger hunt looking through racks with different styles and sizes all crammed together. They have fun casual clothes and costume jewelry but the shoes and dresses look cheap to me. If you catch them during a sale, you can score nice things. Their sale/clearance area is kind of a pain. They have the smallest sizes crammed so tight together on the top rack and trying to take anything down requires standing on your toes or jumping up and down till you can manage to pull down a shirt. The sales clerks aren't much help in that area either, they are too busy cramming more things on racks to even think to offer assistance. I would shop online for this store instead but I have to feel the fabric first before I purchase something. Maybe one day, this store will expand to make this a more enjoyable experience for the market they are targeting. read more

I've been to this location multiple times and never had an issue with customer service. I stopped by recently to exchange some items from an online order and was sort of dumbstruck at the attitude of one of the workers. When I walked into the store I asked what I assume is one of the Managers if I could leave the items I was returning behind the counter while I looked around. "Okay." I then asked her if she would be able to order things offline if they did not have the stock in store. "Okay." Not overly hostile, but she made it a point to show that she was perturbed. She stared at me for a few seconds so unsure as to what was transpiring I asked her if there was a problem with checking item inventory for me online. "No, I already told you okay." This whole account probably sounds incredibly silly in text, but it was extremely uncomfortable. As I walked to the pants display she asked multiple associates, "Did i say that wrongly?" (sic). As she was trying to figure that out I just looked around the store for the items I needed. The only saving grace for this whole interaction was the SA at the register. She was nice and extremely helpful in ordering the items I needed. I spend a lot of money at Torrid, but my future purchases will not go towards helping this store meet their sales goal. You're better off going to the Frisco location. read more

I LOVE Torrid, but this store is horrible! Since China left, the customer service is the worst and I will never go back to this location. I recently purchased 6 items on a buy 2 get one free sale online. I chose to return 3 of the items to this location and the sales clerk took all 3 items but only refunded me for 1 item! She said the other 2 were considered "free"! What a joke! read more
