Right after purchase and walking out, their alarm beeped again. She came running after me, screaming, assuming I stole something. She asked to check my bag and I showed her my bag with the receipt. Her response was "Oh, this is from H&M. The alarm beeped." And walked away. While I understand alarms need to be checked, the situation felt uncomfortable because of how it was handled, and there was no apology after the misunderstanding. Over 2 weeks later, order not received and tracking has stopped. I went to to store to request a refund and am told they can't help me and I would need to call their customer service (which was closed because their hours are EST but was still regular business hours on PST). The employee rips a small piece of receipt paper, writes the number, slides across the counter, and walks away. I called and rep was rude and unorganized. Sounded like he was asleep and fumbled with phone continously. He offered to ship another item and I advised I wanted a refund. He said he would process and would take 48 hours. I check my email and there's an email requesting I provide my banking institution information in order to receive a refund. Why?!?! I paid with my credit card so credit back my card! Went to try to call back and again they're closed, so I use the online chat function. A rep named Dylan advised me that the email was from Zara and inputting my bank institution information was the ONLY way to receive a refund. Zara, DO BETTER!!! Your price point is high and folks spend their money with you willingly. For you to make this such an arduous process to receive a refund on an item I NEVER received from you is absurd!!! She pointed to the new arrivals, showed me the clearance sections and said if I needed any help to freely ask for it. While I walked around, each associate made eye contact and said hi then asked if I needed any help. Some retail stores these days have associates just saying hi but there was no eye contact just robotic phrases...but not at this store. Every associate genuinely said hi and was willing to help. It felt great. I was able to find 2 fleece pants on clearance for $3.50 each and took it to the register. The manager Lisa (who was also the same person that welcomed me right when I walked it) asked if I found everything okay and rang up my $7 purchase as if I was buying a $500 purchase. I remembered that I did want to look at Skip Hops Weekender Bag in person. Asked Lisa causeI didn't see it in the store. She quickly knew right away that there may be one in the back. She asked her team to grab it and I looooooooved it. So I grab 2 since it was on clearance. Overall, the team at the store is the nicest and most genuine in helping customers. Every time I've come purchase items their selection is very good, I can always find something for any kid, the prices are unusually low for 2026, and I've had great service each time.
