This review is not only for the Augusta store, but for three other Kohl's that I have shopped at…read moreand heard stories about. It seems to be a known thing that Kohl's are always unorganized and are especially trashed from Black Friday into the new year. My OCD wants to neaten up clothes, toys, and whatever display that is in disarray. On Black Friday there was a few aisle that one could honestly not go down due to all the items piled up. Is that a fire code violation?? This is very troubling with all the associates idly walking about, talking to each other about what they did over the weekend, or standing motionless at the checkout. I worked at this particular Kohl's when they first opened many years ago and knew that if I wasn't on cash, I was folding shirts and pants. There was no standing around, ever. What changed since then? What makes this store different from other department stores that are just as busy? Other similar stores look meticulous even right after Black Friday. Why should I complain about neatness and struggle with ever wanting to come here? Unsafe. As I mentioned, I feel like there is a fire code being violated. I also can see a kid or adult tripping over something and getting seriously hurt. Not efficient. When you find the shirt you want but the rest of sizes are on several different racks due to not being put back, a quick trip turns into a 20 minute scavenger hunt. Kind of ridiculous. I would love to shop here again, but just can't handle the lack of organization. I hope management will start analyzing how they can fix this problem to make shopping more enjoyable for many shoppers.

I had a really great experience here this past week. As a…read moreplus-sized woman, shopping is a nightmare and makes me so stressed and anxious. (Though, what doesn't, lol) I came in here looking for a shirt that would be flattering, kind of modest and covering my stomach, and make me feel pretty -while being not too flashy. Kind of ridiculously picky, right? Not to these saleswomen! Three of them walked around with me, talked to me, joked with me. They didn't care that I was smelly fresh from the gym or opinionated on everything. In the end I ended up looking at a blue sparkly shirt, unsure how I'd look in it- and a saleswoman came up to me, told me she had it, and told me how she styled it. She helped me pick the right size and made me feel so good about myself, though I'm not a standard "sample size." When I walked in, clearly nervous, the woman folding clothes at the front said, "Come right in. You're in the right place. This is what we are here for!" A+. I know it's salespeople's jobs to be kind and sell stuff, but they went above and beyond with customer experience. They made me feel beautiful when I never do. And not judged. Great experience. AND the shirt that was marked $35 ended up being on sale for $22 even though it was in the front of the store! LOVE. Thanks, Torrid.

I love torrid, as I am sure large ladies do. It's very had for me to find a swimsuit that fits me…read morewell. My bottom and top are very different sizes. Most places have the top and bottom as one size and sold together. Torrid, sells their swimsuits separately, which is a bit more expensive but totally worth it. I ordered online and it was a 40% off sale day. Fantastic! However when it arrived, the top was just a bit too small. I drove out the the Maine mall and asked if they would take an online return. They did, and I got a tip that was 2 sizes bigger. The person at the register seems apprehensive about the online return at first. However once she realized, she was very kind and asked if I wanted to try the new top on. It's a good thing I did, because it was too large. I finally got one that was just the right size. Perfect for me! So I was very happy to have had a great experience and this is my 3rd torrid bathing suit, they really are very nice for the big ladies. Everything is covered, and held in, nice and snatched. lol. If you're a little on the plus side, check them out! Wonderful !

Not only is a flagship store iconic, but there is basically an entire L.L. Bean village. The home store, the hunting store, the café, the outlet... It truly keeps Freeport running. I was excited to visit after the years long renovation. The store still feels very much the same with some newer updates, like new features for kids, additions to the trout pond. They were also doing a vintage L.L. Bean pop-up in the front of the store where you could buy vintage L.L. Bean goods. You will not find friendlier sales associates anywhere. I also love that so many people who work here are of older age. It feels so wholesome. LL Bean used offer free returns for life, but they've updated that to one year. I can get behind that, they gotta make money somehow. When you're in Maine, it's worth a trip. Not to mention it's open 24 hours a day so you can literally go in at any time. From what I know, it's been that way forever. I heard stories about my grandfather bringing my mom when she was a little girl to feed the trout in the middle of the night. LL Bean, thank you for keeping the same charm while adding a few new cool features. Please never change, we love you.

It's in the middle of a major renovation so, there was a large tent where the women's and men's clothing was located and you couldn't get to the giant boot for a photo - but they had a temporary option set up with their boot car. Cute. I loved walking through the Home and Outdoor stores and shopping for items I've never seen in person before. This is a very nice corporate headquarters and flagship office area. Will absolutely come back!
