Since I had to go to Annapolis for a doctor's appointment, I decided to stop by to see if there was anything I wanted. I arrived shortly after they opened for the day so I was the only person there. The employee was very helpful as I was looking around and she even directed me to the fitting rooms and checked on me as I was trying things on. They even have infused water for you to drink while in the fitting room area. Even the fitting rooms were sexy in this place with their big curtains as doors. A La Mode offers bra fittings. I didn't ask for one during this visit because I wasn't looking for a bra at the time but I would like to come back and take advantage of this service. In addition to lingerie, they also sell products to help clean and maintain your lingerie and they even sell a few adult toys. Their products are on the pricey side of things but they are high quality.

My compadre's browsed, but when Giovann noticed I wasn't delving into the clothing racks (i'm not much of a shopper), she came over to me and questioned me on what my 'style' was. Which left me speechless, b/c again, I'm not a shopper and am not the kind of girl who has any idea what "style" I prefer. So, she broke it down for me. "Tell me how you like to 'feel', not how you like to look". Thus began all of our journey into diva-hood. For the next 2 hours, we tried on clothes all while Diva Giovanna showed us tips on how to bring out our best features, how to pose in a way that creates the best pictures, and what looks would work best on our bodies...she even took pictures of us in her clothes to show us how amazing we looked. It wasn't shopping. It was an experience in celebrating womanliness! There is something for everyone in this shop (even a little dog and a piano), casual, fancy, REALLY FANCY... The first time I was in the store for 45 min and not once did anyone ask to assist. So I split buying a suit elsewhere with excellent customer service. Today I made an appointment for custom tailoring. Arrived early and was perusing the fabrics on the custom wall, with two employees 3'-4' away and zero interest in me as a customer. Make a long story short, no one seemed to be too excited to take my measurements or my order after I announced I was there for an appointment. So I walked out. No use in wasting any more of my time if my appointment is important. It's sad because it used to be when you walked into a JosA Banks the staff was on you with a great demeanor the second you walked in. With 6-7 people on staff, one would expect better.
