I received an estimate on Wednesday and then said they could do the trimming on Friday. I have had tree work done so this was the trim that I get done every two years. I found them on Nextdoor by searching tree trimming. All reviews seemed favorable. They did a great job trimming and cleaning up. I'd recommend them. It looks like they service inside the beltway 8. I mentioned the price and a friend confirmed she thought it was a great price. I had 3 trees trimmed: one large and two much smaller. I have so much more sunlight from the cleanup. As much as I hate cutting down trees, I needed to remove a couple of them to keep my property's foundation from imploding. They were also somewhat unsightly, partially due to the fact they were rotting and the local wildlife was turning it into a real life treehouse. Torres Tree Service came in via a recommendation and they did a stellar job. Setting up an appointment for the initial consultation was incredibly easy. They were punctual, polite, and very professional throughout the process. They had insurance and charged just under a thousand to take down two crazy tall trees, grinding and mulching one into the ground. The lady boss running the show brought in several guys to help with sawing, hauling, clean up, grinding, and was not about wasting time. There was a lot of chainsaw action, climbing (#1), roping, and precision to ensure no pieces or debris fell into anyone else's yard. The whole ordeal was about 15 hours, split over the course of two days. The end result was so good for one of them, one would never know a large tree was there in the first place. Torres tree service was doing work for a neighbor. We asked them for a quote to trim our trees. They provided a quote for one tree separate and then all of our trees together. I asked several times that the total was all trees together. They came to do the work and when the work was finished they said they misunderstood and the cost was actually both amounts added together. I was very clear about how much would it be total. I feel like once the work was done the amount changed. Its very disappointing to feel like you have no choice but to pay a higher amount after the work is done. read more

I had a lot of people over to give me quotes on taking down a bamboo grove and the owner was the only person who came over who bothered to kneel down and dig around a bit to try to figure out if I had sprinkler lines running amidst the roots (I did). That plus the very reasonable quote was the reason I chose them, and I wasn't disappointed. They worked steadily all day, and though they didn't quite manage to finish before it got dark, the owner and his wife were over early the next morning, a Saturday no less, to clean everything up. Torres Tree Service do a job at my rent house 10 days ago. The tree limbs must have been pulled through my elec lines as they were sagging about 2 ft lower after the tree trimming and ground wire was pulled loose from breaker box and internet wire from house. When I called Edith to tell her the lights had flickered all weekend then the elec popped & surged so there was no electricity at the house, she immediately denied it was their fault and did not even bother to talk to Edgar even though she did not even come to the job site as she had done on the 3 other jobs they did for me. It escalated to rudeness and she would not provide me her insurance carrier after asking twice. The surge burned out 7 LED canned lights, garage door motor, A/C transformer and 4 breakers. I probably could have worked it out with Edgar if he and I could have spoken, but got such an attitude from Edith that I am now dealing with the insurance co after getting their info. Torres left the trees stacked 10+ ft high in front yard from my driveway to neighbor's driveway for heavy trash that was coming in 3 days even though I said I did not know what they would pick up. It all sat there for over a week until heavy trash came and finally picked up about 1/2 the debris. I have asked 2x for Torres to come haul the rest away and Edith refuses saying it is my problem and to quit calling her so I am now having to hire another tree co to haul away for $450 after paying Torres $1500 like I did on 2 other jobs at different rental property and a job at my own property where they hauled away tree limbs. I guess you learn a lot when there is a problem as they had been so nice and cordial before. This has been a nightmare dealing with electricians, Xfinity for internet, garage door guy and now a hauling service and the insurance for the other damages. I will NEVER use Torres Tree Service again! read more

Unfortunately, our requests to remove all large dead branches went ignored. This was after I had twice pointed out that they had missed more than a dozen large dead branches in our trees as they were leaving yesterday because of rain. Today, I wasn't home when they returned. I trusted the woman who told me they had removed all dead branches and so my wife paid her in full. When I returned to my home here in Houston, I found numerous persistent large dead branches in the trees. I took photographs and forwarded to Torres and tried to call them. Though they were very responsive when we were discussing the job, suddenly there was no response. I am attaching photos of the dead branches for your reference. As I was writing this, they called back. Their response was that I should have pointed out the dead branches to them. They claim they didn't see them and were unwilling to return to address them. read more
