Same as Dada....he showed up and gave a good quote by email. Very nice person.....kept giving me appointment dates...but didn't show up...over and over. I called the Realestate company that reccommend them.....I guess they threatened their business...they finally showed up...... Bottom line is they overbook and you will need someone who gives them business to leverage Torres Bros to show up and do your work Very nice people but they have no problem lieing to their customers. A friend referred this company and I would like to rate them on their service, but unfortunately(maybe fortunately) I never received it. On 04/28 I made an appointment with Tomas for Thursday 05/06 to have my roof replaced. On Wednesday 05/05 I CALLED HIM to confirm the appointment and we agreed because of the possible rain in Wednesday's forecast, we would push the appointment back to Friday 05/07 at 8am. Friday morning no one showed up nor called. After an hour past our appointment time, I called him several (4) times throughout the day and sent a text message with no response. I emailed the company and almost a week later still no response. If this is how they treat a future customer, I would hate to see how the treat a customer who has paid for their service and has a problem. read more

I contacted Torres Bros to provide a quote for my roof. He gave me two quotes; one to patch the problem and a roof replacement. To my surprise he told me "your roof is in good shape is was just installed incorrectly". HE WAS HONEST!!!!! I decided to replace my roof. It is a good thing I did, there were so many rotten wooden boards that needed to be replaced it was not funny. The crew arrived at 6:45AM (appointment was at 7AM) and started work immediately, completed the job in one day, cleaned up, I did my inspection. In July, I had 3 different roofing contractors give me quotes for a house I expected to close in September. Of the 3 contractors, Thomas Torres Senior was the only contractor who took the time to climb up onto a very tall roof. This involved climbing up a very tall ladder to the porch roof then climb up another very tall ladder to get to the main roof. It's important for the contractors to go up onto the roof to assess the condition of the singles and see the solar panel, as it would affect the quote. It takes time and knowledge to remove and replace the solar panel as the shingles has to be put under the solar panel. Thomas is very knowledgeable and experienced with solar panels. He answered my questions concerning the solar panel. He also told me about the condition of the gutters and how it needed to be cleaned. He didn't try to sell me new gutters but knowing the condition did help me make an informed decision to replace the gutters. I was told I could go with smaller gutters but I decided on his recommendation for the bigger gutters because this house had a huge roof with a deep pitch and it did not cost much more. Since I couldn't close until September, I didn't want to sign a contract 2 months in advance. One reason I chose to use the Torres Brothers was because there was no pressure to sign their contract. The other 2 contractors pressured me to sign their contracts or they would charge more for the roof in September because they expected a price increase in materials. Thomas said I could sign the contract at the end of August when I would be more sure the house would close without a hitch. Thomas was able to accommodate me on the day I requested the roof to be done even though he had other roofing jobs scheduled weeks in advance. My homeowner's insurance required proof of a new roof when their agents came out to inspect the property. Even though the Torres Brothers were already booked out several weeks in advanced, they were able to fit me into their schedule before the ones that were already booked because they understood my predicament of needing to provide proof to my homeowner's insurance. If I didn't have proof of a new roof, my homeowner's insurance would increase by $600 for the year. On the day the Torres Brothers team came out to do my roof, they arrived earlier than expected, which was great because my property was vacant and they didn't waste ant time tearing off the old roof. I was so impressed with the team and how well they worked together. I think there were 8 or 9 crew members working on the first day. Everyone was working hard and doing whatever job they were supposed to be doing. From the ground crew of picking up the old shingles to the roofing crew to the gutter crew, they work in sync, like a well oiled machine I was impressed they started early (6-7am) and didn't take lunch break until almost 2pm. They were a harmonious crew, working efficiently. I was especially happy that Thomas junior was part of the roofing crew working along side his crew, making sure shingles was laid down correctly. They didn't quit until around 6:30-7pm. That's a 13 hour day with a single break for lunch. This is a hard working crew. I could see the main roof was nearly done. They came back the next day just as early and finished the main roof and went onto working the porch roof. The gutter crew had a good rhythm and I was impressed with how the crew worked together so it seemed like it was put up effortlessly. There was a guy who measured and cut, another guy who handed the gutter to the installer. The roof with new gutters was done in 2 days. I think having the large crew and having everyone know their specific duties that it was completed without a hitch. I was able to go up to the highest floor of the condo building next door and look at my roof. It looked great and the gutters were absolutely beautiful. Another reason I chose the Torres Brothers was because they did not require deposits or partial payments like the other 2 contractors wanted. The Torres Brothers collected payment only after I examined my completed roof and gutters and was satisfied. I cannot express how highly I thought of the Torres Brothers Roofing Company. Their work was impeccable. Their payment terms speaks volume. They did an excellent job cleaning up the work site and they even helped cleaned up the couple dozen of spiders nesting on my porch ceiling, as a favor for me. If I could give them a 100 Stars review, I would. Not once did I hear any disagreement. This crew worked so well together, harmoniously, efficiently, and happy to accommodate any requests. Hiring the Torres Brothers is undoubtedly the best decision I've ever made. If you need a new roof, the Torres Brothers is the company you need to hire. On day 3. I was looking at my roof and gutters from the sidewalk. I got many compliments from people who lived in the neighborhood.
