Was talking to mother this morning about possibly returning to Rome with Colin next year, and I thought wait, there's so many places in Rome that I absolutely loved when I last went...meaning...
...so many places I could review...
No but really, if you ever get the chance to go to Rome, go now. One of the most beautiful cities in the world, easily. Twas this fine establishment that housed me for a week when I was last there, and it was absolutely wonderful, I'd definitely consider staying here again. The hotel is very high class; polished marble floors, pillars of stone etc, but at the same time when you go out back, it has such a rustic homey Italian feel to it. The rooms themselves are not part of the main hotel building; they're housed in 3 separate buildings round the back, next to a beautiful open garden.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staff are so friendly, and incredibly fluent in English, the restaurant is great for any meal of the day, and the week we spent here was amazing!
My only complaint about this hotel is the distance from any of Rome's "touristy" places. I definitely wouldn't say this was your traditional Italy tourist hotel because it's not in the city centre, and because it's a bit on the pricey side. I'd maybe try and stay a bit closer to the city centre, but I did like the secluded feel of this hotel, so I'm a bit caught in the middle. This hotel is probably worth the journey into the centre mind you! I'd definitely suggest it if you're ever stuck for hotels in Roma! read more
