Flipper Nightmare. It's funny that they're showing pictures…read moreof my house as a showcase for their work. I recently bought a house from Curtis the owner of WIT's and it's been nothing but heartache. I'm two months into owning the house and I've spent 13k so far just to keep this place livable. Here's a list of the crap I've come across: 1. The totally renovated septic system, ha! They left the original pipes running to the septic tank, which was full of roots. This caused every bathroom in the house to back up. Had to have a plumber come out and jet the lines. I'll have to replace the lines this summer. 2. Heat pump was mysteriously completely empty of Freon, even though it was working during the home inspection. The units been running on aux heat, until that burnt out as well. Ended up replacing the whole (ten year old) unit. 3. Didn't seal around the pipes for the showerheads. Great for allowing moisture into the walls. 4. One shower wasn't tiled all the way up to the showerhead. So of course they just used regular drywall and latex paint from the edge of the tile up to the shower head (about 3 feet). So it was just soaking up water and starting to bulge. 5. The U joint fell off of one of the tubs, so that it was dumping water into the crawlspace. They didn't add any support to the pipe, so that all that was holding it up with the slip connector to the tub. 6. Left ductwork unattached and laying on the ground. So that all the heat was being dumped into the crawlspace. 7. Reversed hot/cold on one of the sinks. (Small thing, but irritating). 8. Didn't attached the exhaust ducts to the bathrooms, so that the moist air goes straight into the attic. 9. Down spouts for the gutters drain right next to the house, pushing water into the crawl space. 10. Didn't attach the water line for the fridge. 11. Two interior doors wouldn't latch. 12.Vinyl flooring improperly laid. The vinyl tile is already to start detaching in spots. Also they didn't prep the floor properly, so there are things pushing up and through from underneath. 13.Mortar for tiled shower cracking along edges and corners. 14.Molding and cabinets are shifting already, creating gaps between them and the ceiling. 15. Didn't bother calking window in the shower. 16. Used OSB scrap (seriously they didn't even cut off the ragged bits where they broke it off a larger piece) used to correct rafter with crack. OSB is for structural use right? 17. Trash in ductwork. 18. Left trash can full of construction debris. I thought it was the trash can for the local service, turns out it's not, so I have to take it to the dump to get rid of it. 19. Drywall cracking around windows. Biggest offender here is in the kitchen, though there are others. There are 12 inch cracks running down from both bottom corners of the windows. 20. Didn't bother installing missing smoke detector. 21. Can see daylight through cracks in front door, not between the door and jam, the door has cracks in the panels. 22. No vent pipe in one of the bathrooms. There are other things but this list is already long enough. Let me just summarize by saying this was a 200k mistake.
