At first, these guys seemed stand-up people. They said they would do quality work and stand behind…read moreit. They replaced my roof and all seemed well until the first significant rain came. Our bonus room ceiling started leaking and had about 8 feet of water damage. We called them and Cameron and Ian came out and said they couldn't find any problems. They came back out with a few more men and used a hose to spray water over that vicinity of the roof and were able to find an error where some piece of metal was lifting some shingles and allowing water to get in. They fixed that and said they would come back and repair the ceiling. We asked if they would be making sure to repaint the entire contiguous ceiling. They said they would have to stop at the edge of the bonus room where it leads into the hallway and for some nail pops at the edge of the ceiling we would be charged. Well, we realized it would look like crap for the paint to stop at the edge of the room since there is no separation and the ceiling just keeps going from the open bonus room into the hallway. For that reason we asked how much it would cost. Cameron said about $80-$120. I actually thought that was reasonable even though they should really just repaint the entire ceiling since the roof they installed caused damage. We said we wanted to wait for another rainstorm to come to make sure it wouldn't leak again. They said no problem, call us when you're ready. After a couple of months, there was a heavy enough rain that we were satisfied it wouldn't leak again. Cameron said he would come out to "give us a quote" which we thought was strange since they already told us what it would be. He came out and asked us about some other minor repairs we had mentioned and painting exterior shutters. He suggested they could give us a good deal since they were already going to be out here. He did a walk through and said he would email us. We received the quote for around $1800. For the work they were planning to do, it did not seem outlandish. At the time, we didn't have a lot of money especially after the $4800 deductible our insurance made us pay for the roof. We said we would hold off on the additional repairs and asked them just to repair the ceiling they were responsible for. It took a lot of calling back and forth over weeks to get them to commit to a day. I found out one of them had a family emergency and the others were having to cover for him. I understand life happens so I didn't fuss about it. When they finally sent a man over, he did poor work. He got dust on all our furniture, carpet, and fixtures. There were putty drippings in multiple places and the painting was even worse. The paint did not match and he only painted over the 8 foot damaged stretch. It looks like I did the repair as someone who has no idea how to do it well. They refused to come back out and do anything else. Without them fulfilling their obligation to do the proper repairs, I would never recommend anyone do business with them.

They recommend encapsulation and as much as I don't want to do that, it may be what is necessary. I appreciated them making time to come to my home and help me out with their expertise. They did point out one problem with my roof that I will ask them to address in the future as my budget allows.
