We contacted around 5 contractors for inspection and quotes for our roof. On Tops Roofing was very responsive to our request and gave us a very reasonable, detailed quote. I had several questions that I emailed over the weekend, and Jonathan answered my questions each time, even on a Sunday. Jonathan was very pleasant to work with. We made the decision to go with On Tops Roofing, and had a new roof within a week. The crew was also very nice, very efficient and worked hard and cleaned up nicely afterwards. We are very pleased with our new roof and the extra touches that I did not expect. Our roof looks much better than the last roofing we had from a cheaper contractor. We had the enhanced HDZ shingles installed. It is a 50 yr warranty on the products, and their warranty for workmanship is also better than the other quotes we received. They said they could fix this and could have an estimator to come aand look at my problem and give an estimate to fix the problem. She said they charge $49.95 to come and look at the problem. Called and asked for a quote - our roof had literally started to fall apart in the last six months. They had a sales guy out to the house the next day for a quote. He brought samples and walked me through the entire process. Gave me a quote on the spot. I was waiting for a 2nd quote, but that vendor was like 10 days on the response time, so they lost before they ever had a chance. After I had contracted On Tops, they came back at like $300 under, but I had no trust or confidence based on the first impression. On Tops gave us a customer list showing us who in the neighborhood who had picked the same color shingles as we had. So we did drive around and make sure we liked what we picked before we got too far in the process. They came out and did a great job. Removed an old DirecTV dish, cleaned up after themselves, and were in and out in a day and a half. I did find a few nails and shingle remnants around the house/yard - but nothing in the driveway or where my kids would run into them. Our next-door neighbor used them, and about 8 other houses in the subdivision as well. Definitely worth calling for a quote. read more

Fast forward 3+ years and we had an issue with a gutter installer who was worried about whether a portion of gutter guards had been installed under the roof shingles on the sloped areas and rubber roof on the flat area. On Tops Roofing replaced our roof 9 years ago. 30 year warranty on shingles and 10 year warranty on workmanship. Developed leaks and have inside ceiling damage. They came out did some repairs, still leaked, called back, and they came out again. Told me there was a hole in "a" shingle. Plugged it with silicone and said it was fixed. Still had a leak. They told me this time, they knew what the problem was because they saw it on the last visit, but obviously, didn't fix he real problem. Still getting wet ceiling. Called back, this time, charged $750.75! Still getting wet ceiling, and they refused to help because my house is old, so they say! But "THEIR" roof is only 9 years old! Beware of this company! My family is living on a one salary due to a heart attack and now I have to hire another company to fix what they will not! This is SO UNFAIR!!!! read more

Just had my 2nd roof put on by On Tops Roofing, and both times they were great to work with. The first time I used them, a tree was dropped on our home by a "licensed" tree service. After his insurance was very slow to respond, I had to get my homeowners insurance to step in as we were experiencing water damage (in addition to the roof damage). Once I contacted On Tops Roofing, the problem was solved. They were quick to respond, did a great job, and worked within the insurance claim allowance. The second time was also for an insurance claim from hail damage (2 roofs this time, house and garage). And once again, On Tops Roofing did a great job, quick, professional, and within the claim allowance. The company owner even stopped by just to check on things. I though that was above and beyond as the crew manager was very on top of things. I was considering replacing my roof a couple years ago and scheduled On Tops for an estimate. He failed to show up twice and while waiting I repaired the roof myself. Recently I decided to go ahead and replace it and contacted a few contractors for bids. After a couple of weeks I decided to hire a contractor but then On Tops finally replied and said they'd bid so i held off on my decision to wait for their bid. It took a week but they showed up to measure my house and said they'd have a price in a couple days. It's been over 3 weeks and still no reply. What a waste of my time as well as the time of a contractor that wants the work. My roof is just an A-frame but is kind of steep, I don't know if that's what kept them away or if it's just poor customer service. Either way a response would've been nice. read more
