Their level of communication throughout the entire process was spectacular !! Olivia was a rockstar. When replacement day arrived, we were sent pictures of all the steps on the roof replacement. Was not expecting that but it was greatly appreciated since we don't live nearby. The entire roof (shingles and a LOT of underlying wood) was finished by lunch time !!! Unfortunately, the roof was 3/4th of the way done before I noticed the color shingle wasn't what I had ordered. Although the manufacturer had sent the wrong item, Artisan immediately took full responsibility and asked me how they could make this right. They offered to redo my roof with the right color, however we settled on a discount from the work done. I feel their entire communication and work with me to resolve this was 100% excellent. As a matter of fact, I am so confident in their company I have scheduled them to also install new gutters (using the discount from the roof!) Their price and initial bid was LESS THAN an individual who had also been recommended by a neighbor whom I would have expected to be less than this professional company. They sent me a detailed, itemized list of exactly what they would do and exactly what I needed to do to prepare. From start to finish, this was a great experience, in spite of the hiccup. My new roof looks great and I'm getting used to the color!

He gave me the estimate, which was reasonable, considering I had several others that were outrageously high, or they never got back to me after the original quote. He and his crew arrived when he said they would and completed the job in 4 days. They did replace some deck boards for us which didn't come out right, but they aren't carpenters, so that was on us, I suppose. The stain color for the front and back porch was wrong, but I blame Sherwin Williams for not matching it correctly. Jesus came back out a week later and re-stained both porches with the original stain we used before. They did a great job on the painting, and we appreciated that he made the porches right, even after I had already paid him. He and his team were courteous and worked efficiently. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a professional paint job at a reasonable price.

If you're looking for a reliable painter who takes pride in his work and communicates well, I highly recommend JC Painting & Drywall. I would definitely hire Jesus again for future projects.

I'd done a lot of research into replacement windows -- what to ask when interviewing companies, what a quality installation looks like, which windows are the best quality. I'd been saving up for eight years for this because I wanted quality -- and it isn't always the name brands you know that are the best. I chose this company for these reasons: 1) Reputation. The company has been around since 1961 so they aren't going anywhere. 2) I researched the brand and type of window they install to verify quality and these were recommended by more than one person. 3) I asked about the install itself -- who measures, to what detail do they measure, type of caulk, how they insulate. And they never once treated me like "the clueless little woman." The rep respected that I did this due diligence and even gave me MORE information about their installation process, which I double checked, and yes, it is above and beyond. 4) The payment plan was simply unbeatable. 5) They gave me a DETAILED quote AND personal references. Other companies I spoke with did not. Communication was impeccable. It was a wait of a few months, but they kept in touch. Installation took only 3 days for 19 windows and 4 entry doors. These guys work FAST, without sacrificing attention to detail. When we had a mishap with one of my cats escaping the "safe space" they worked with me until I could corral him into another safe space. The crew chief, Chris Riley, is personable and managed the job well. The work site was left CLEAN. The full screens I asked for were installed later, and they're great. I had many windows that hadn't been opened for years because of being painted shut, nor had they been cleaned well. Now I can clean my own windows, the draftiness is gone and I am comfortable because that this company stands by its work. I am an anxious person. This was the biggest job I've ever had done where I didn't already know the person doing the work. They dealt with my anxiety beautifully and kindly. I have already recommended this company to others and will continue to do so.

They utilized their top expert in flashing, Joseph Weston, with many years of experience and hands on skills applied in addition to supervising the crew. Scope of project didn't include additional support and bracing for structure and roof, estimate poorly done, seems sales person wanted to get a sale prior to end of calendar year. 1st Payment made on November 30, 2025 2nd payment made on March 30th, 2026 after demo started/completed Project completed on Monday, August 17, 2026 (8 1/2 months) 4 different PMs, 1 quit before the project started, 1 we fired after he entered/trespassed on our property, entered house without permission, 1 was replaced by Odyssey (don't know why?), last one has performed like a PM should. Major delay (at least 1 month) when door contractor couldn't fulfill order We were told project was going to take 4-6 weeks by the original PM and subcontractor, has now taken 8 1/2 months. Project failed the Town of Apex inspection 3 times, one because of an electrical issue (on electrical work supposedly completed by a licensed electrician), second fail included issues around structure support, and subsequently had to hire an Engineer to complete a load study (another long delay), third time for an issue with fall protection wire spacing that should've been known.. Study included many recommendations for additional supports. Replaced subcontractor after poor quality work (much has been reworked), seems like we are now 2nd or 3rd option/appt for new sub contractor (that is subs show up late in the day, most likely after they've worked another job earlier) After meeting with Owner (Sean), new/revised schedule was developed, showing project completion on July 1st, 2026 (didn't meet this new completion date either). Odyssey has continued to over promise and under deliver. One bright spot was the Project Manager (Bryan) that completed the job. All of these issues listed above led to a project that should've been completed in 4-6 weeks now being completed in 8 1/2 months!

Greg is a smooth talker and made it seem like it would all be good. He said payment would be due upon completion although there was no mention of this in the "contract." Turns out "Remove vanity and install custom vanity" means ripping out the large existing vanity, sink, and huge mirror and then popping down the pedestal sink THAT I BOUGHT. Period. Red flag #2: When I asked Greg about the massive drywall damage, he said "Is it in the contract?" The agreement does say he does not cover drywall repair, but this was literally left in a demo state. On Day 2, while the entire floor was ripped up with the crawlspace exposed, Greg asked me for a check. I said I planned to pay him with a credit card and it would take me a few days to move money around to give him the equivalent of cash. Day 3 he walked off the job claiming non-payment. After I calmly explained that I could not be in non-payment because no payment was due, Greg came back the next day like nothing happened... All of the insulations under the half bath was wet so it had to go. Greg did not want anything to do with replacing it. I went out and bought insulation and installed it myself. Either Greg or his plumber, Drew, cracked the first sink basin during install. Luckily Home Depot replaced it with no questions and Drew came back and installed the new one. Drew was actually great. I did all of the leg work for the return, so don't expect Greg to actually stand by his work or take responsibility for mistakes. Greg made it clear he does not do hardwood floor repair and I was fine with that. Turns out, my hardwood flooring guy discovered that there was a strange strip of plywood sub floor installed to fill a gap that was not actually supported. We found out why when he pulled it up. See photos. Don't expect structural repairs to actually connect to other structural members. Don't expect your tile OR subfloor to be level or flat. Don't expect a professional job.

As you can see from the photos, the bathroom turned out beautifully! I'm very happy with the results. Greg did such a great job. I will be contacting him for future renovations. Nonetheless, our contact person Madeleine and her crew came out to assess our foundation and cracks and some mold from the humidity in the crawlspace. In the end we went with mold remediation, a sump pump, new vapor barrier, joist lifts, and air sealing to keep out the creepy crawlies. Big ticket expense, but when compared to the competition, we went with them because of the thoroughness with the estimate interview and the willingness to answer all of our questions, they were also well-spoken of on other review sites including a popular large community message board, and the price was pretty comparable. Also, the crew was very good. My only ding would be was not putting the items in the crawlspace back in the order that it was originally, which saved space. But to add to their credit, we have one additional project that needs to be done outside of Little Corner's scope and the new company took a look at Little Corner's work and said "They did a very good job, this is how we would have done it." I think that speaks well of them as a whole. They may not be the biggest company, but they are professional, kind, and diligent about their work. Thank you, Madeleine and crew.
