It felt like I went from Santa Fe to Santa Ana. Speaking of Santas, it's known as the Christmas Capital, but in the off-season, the only thing Christmas-like was me thinking, "Jesus Christ, these long stretches of sidewalk feel empty" Granted, it was the midday lull, and many of the shops and restaurants seemed spread out or closed as early as 5:00 PM. It's a nice, free place for a slow-paced stroll, but a bit underwhelming if you are looking for a vibrant atmosphere.

Downtown Grapevine is one of my favorite areas to visit, there are numerous local shops, a farmers…read moremarket, art gallery, museum(s), restaurants, a book store, trinity metro Tex rail station etc. Downtown grapevine has various community events throughout the year and is known as the Christmas Capital of Texas. There are statues and benches throughout the downtown area that add to the charm of historic downtown grapevine. Some of my favorite areas in the historic downtown area are talking animals (book shop), house of shine (non-profit/museum) and the farmer's market of grapevine. I look forward to my next visit.

I would recommend the flight radar 24 app. It makes it so much more fun to know what planes are coming in, where they came from, and where they are going. It has various plaques and such that speaks of the history and industry, there's even a small replica of a passenger plane. There are two sitting areas that have cover, there is a speaker in between that plays back the radio communication between the tower and the pilots. After waiting in line at the check-in and going through a metal detector we were directed to a waiting room where a friendly employee explained that there was a mysterious story that you could try to figure out or you could just explore. Then they led us into the room to start exploring at our own pace. It was a really cool experience and full of creatively fun art. It was definitely an out of this world experience. After spending a few hours exploring we briefly visited the souvenir shop. We didn't get anything but they do have a variety of things to purchase. Overall The Real Unreal Meow Wolf is worth a visit if you like hands on experiences with a mysterious story that you can try to figure out while enjoying the creative art work.

When I showed up and found the place closed, I called to check, and Tim kindly agreed to give me a tour even though I was the only guest. He made sure I felt comfortable throughout and kept the experience engaging with local history and stories. We cruised around the Trinity Garden, which ended up being one of my favorite parts. On top of that, he shared fantastic restaurant recommendations. It felt more like exploring the city with a friend than a formal tour. Huge thanks to Tim for making it such a memorable experience. I spent about 10 mins trying all the different things our tour guide asked me to practice. I pickled it up very easily. Everyone did so as well. Anyone can ride segways. I wish we had more segways all over the country. Tour started off in the downtown Fort Worth area. We stopped at many historic destinations along the way. Tour guide was very funny and very knowledgeable. My favorite part was by the riverside. Absolutely gorgeous weather to ride Segways and made our trip even more memorable with lots of great pics. Our tour guide took some incredible pics of us. Highly recommend this experience if you're trying to do something cool and fun.

The Bushong Log Cabin is a more recent addition to the historic park the City of Grapevine has…read moreplaced at 201 Main Street. It was recently placed on its new foundation and the fireplace completely redone. It was built in approximately 1871 by George Emanuel Bushong and his wife Elizabeth Ann. It was originally built just a few hundred yards from where it currently stands. The Bushong's lived in it on their property where they also ran a Saw Mill, Flour Mill, and the town's very first Cotton Gin. The park it is located in is open to the public and free from the generosity of the city of Grapevine. Definitely worth the trip if you are in the area. My young ones were fascinated to see how people lived.

The farm is 10 acres, there is a barn/farm equipment/small general store/sheep, chickens, turkeys/original house built in 1869 you can tour. The docents the day we were there were dressed in pioneer clothes and were so friendly and informative telling us about the Nash family and the history of the farmstead and about the animals. They have lots of events from the looks of it. I highly recommend a stop here if your in Grapevine.

Our first impression was wow! The present neighborhood built around a farm that's been in Grapevine since the 1850's. And the farmer was there tending to the garden when we arrived. The house was open for unguided tours of the upstairs and downstairs. After touring the house we met the farmer. My granddaughter got a chance to talk to the farmer and go with him to pet the sheep. We also went to the Farm store on the property and my daughter bought chicken feed. My granddaughter fed the chickens and that was adorable to catch on video. If you're a history buff or if you enjoy museums Nashville Farm is definitely worth a visit. They accept donations but admission is free.

I think this association is due to the fact that I come here almost exclusively to attend their psychic fairs, classes and sessions (as opposed to only shopping). Some of my experiences have been so enlightening and impactful that I would describe them as life changing.
