Speaking of Santas, it's known as the Christmas Capital, but in the off-season, the only thing Christmas-like was me thinking, "Jesus Christ, these long stretches of sidewalk feel empty" Granted, it was the midday lull, and many of the shops and restaurants seemed spread out or closed as early as 5:00 PM. It's a nice, free place for a slow-paced stroll, but a bit underwhelming if you are looking for a vibrant atmosphere.

Downtown Grapevine is one of my favorite areas to visit, there are numerous local shops, a farmers…read moremarket, art gallery, museum(s), restaurants, a book store, trinity metro Tex rail station etc. Downtown grapevine has various community events throughout the year and is known as the Christmas Capital of Texas. There are statues and benches throughout the downtown area that add to the charm of historic downtown grapevine. Some of my favorite areas in the historic downtown area are talking animals (book shop), house of shine (non-profit/museum) and the farmer's market of grapevine. I look forward to my next visit.

I would recommend the flight radar 24 app. It makes it so much more fun to know what planes are coming in, where they came from, and where they are going. The live ATC radio traffic is also great to add to the experience.

It has various plaques and such that speaks of the history and industry, there's even a small replica of a passenger plane. There are two sitting areas that have cover, there is a speaker in between that plays back the radio communication between the tower and the pilots. The planes land every few minutes, some of them one right on top of another. Sometimes there is a longer lull, tho it's very neat to watch.

The creativity and imagination are SO GOOD and we love how helpful the staff are. This is perfect for those looking to explore, someone who loves a hidden room or a mystery book. The experience combines a ghost story, artwork, music, exploration and so much more. I noticed way more kids at this location than I did at the Vegas or Denver spot, and perhaps it was just timing, but I did feel it wasn't scary for kids. Being in the Grapevine Mall also probably caused more families to visit. It wasn't a negative to our experience, just something to note for other families who are interested.

You can solve the story, look for all the little details, or just walk around and admire everything. It's so creative and there's always something to look at. It's also one of those places that makes you forget about everything for a while. Once you're inside, you get so caught up exploring that you kinda forget about the outside world, and I love that. I've been more than once and somehow I still don't get bored. It honestly feels like a different experience every time. If you're thinking about going, DO IT. It's such a fun place, whether you're going with friends, family, or even by yourself. The only bad part? Eventually you have to leave... and go back to reality. Definitely one of my favorite places to go in DFW. I call it my happy place I seriously can't wait to visit the other Meow Wolf locations too. I spent about 10 mins trying all the different things our tour guide asked me to practice. I pickled it up very easily. Everyone did so as well. Anyone can ride segways. I wish we had more segways all over the country. Tour started off in the downtown Fort Worth area. We stopped at many historic destinations along the way. Tour guide was very funny and very knowledgeable. My favorite part was by the riverside. Absolutely gorgeous weather to ride Segways and made our trip even more memorable with lots of great pics. Our tour guide took some incredible pics of us. Highly recommend this experience if you're trying to do something cool and fun.

The Bushong Log Cabin is a more recent addition to the historic park the City of Grapevine has…read moreplaced at 201 Main Street. It was recently placed on its new foundation and the fireplace completely redone. It was built in approximately 1871 by George Emanuel Bushong and his wife Elizabeth Ann. It was originally built just a few hundred yards from where it currently stands. The Bushong's lived in it on their property where they also ran a Saw Mill, Flour Mill, and the town's very first Cotton Gin. The park it is located in is open to the public and free from the generosity of the city of Grapevine. Definitely worth the trip if you are in the area. My young ones were fascinated to see how people lived.

The farm is 10 acres, there is a barn/farm equipment/small general store/sheep, chickens, turkeys/original house built in 1869 you can tour. The docents the day we were there were dressed in pioneer clothes and were so friendly and informative telling us about the Nash family and the history of the farmstead and about the animals. They have lots of events from the looks of it. I highly recommend a stop here if your in Grapevine.

Our first impression was wow! The present neighborhood built around a farm that's been in Grapevine since the 1850's. And the farmer was there tending to the garden when we arrived. The house was open for unguided tours of the upstairs and downstairs. After touring the house we met the farmer. My granddaughter got a chance to talk to the farmer and go with him to pet the sheep. We also went to the Farm store on the property and my daughter bought chicken feed. My granddaughter fed the chickens and that was adorable to catch on video. If you're a history buff or if you enjoy museums Nashville Farm is definitely worth a visit. They accept donations but admission is free.
