Was too cold and windy to sit outside- despite heaters, so we waited for a table. Sunday lunch crowd makes for a delay to finding seating. Tacos just about any way you can imagine them. We had the taco of the month:Midnight Cowboy. Also, ordered Baja Shrimp, Fried avocado, and Mr Orange tacos. All were very flavorful, with fresh ingredients. I always look forward to going to Torchys, but I was a little bit down this time. The taco I ordered was small and scampi and usually I had to have a fork to eat with a Falls out of it. This one was not that way I didn't even fill up the whole flour tortilla. This is our first time at Torchy's Pros: Overall the quality of the food is very good, although the side of corn wasn't our favorite. The environment is fun and music playlist is solid. Cons: $75 to feed a family of four lunch. You are looking at $6+ per taco and sides are ordered separately at additional cost. A 20oz beer is $7+ during the day and you have to do a separate transaction at the bar. The primary negative is cost $$$. Came in to eat for the first time last week. The precautions taken are all quite good and ordering was simple. Sweet tea: absolutely fabulous! Patio- great patio, the space is fun but the tables don't move if you have a larger group. Queso: spicy with a good flavor, generous portion. Tacos: subpar. Brisket was flavorless and had a weird texture. The chicken in another taco had good flavor but was essentially a chicken tender wrapped in tortilla. I feel like it should have been cut up at least a bit. Mexican street corn: awful, the taste was bitter and even if it had been bearable it was lacking salt and mushy. Food is ok... prices are crazy HIGH!! There is basically no service. You place your order at the counter and get your own drink, silverware and such. Find a spot to sit and they bring your food out. A side order of corn is like $5 for a 1/2 cup of seasoned corn. Bean dip - aka beans and cheese and zero seasoning $6 for 1/2 cup of retried beans - a tiny decoration of cheese and seriously almost no seasonings. Canned rosaria refried beans, a chunk of velveeta and some bottled Pace picante sauce would be better at a fraction of the price! Guac was ok - again very limited seasoning. But hey - fresh avocado is yummy!! Personally I like pico or chunks of tomato, onion, maybe a tiny bit of jalapeño or at least some red pepper flakes. Ooo and a squeeze of LIME!! You know, a little personality! My friends got tacos. Nobody raved but no loud complaints either. Will I go back? Only if somebody else REALLY wants to go! (And turns down ALL the other places I suggest... and this is the least "bad" place). And I know - I gave it 3 stars.... why? Spice your own stuff and it'll taste great! Overall, I enjoyed my experience here! The inside and outside seating is plentiful. I honestly can't wait for it to be warmer, because I loved the patio. There are two different bars, so I think some good times will be had here! The line was LONG to get food, which considering It had not been long since it opened, made since. As we waiting in line, the wall of windows had the sun beating down on us, which made me anxious and enjoy everything a little less. It was SO HOT. Wishing they had shades to pull down. When it came to order, the staff was friendly! I got the queso, guacamole, Baja shrimp taco and the Trailer Park. The dips were EXCELLENT. 10/10, would eat again and again. For me, every dining experience starts with the atmosphere. This sounds so superficial but it's true! Before I can em not the food, I want to get the character of the place. I mean, we're about to enter a relationship together for the next hour! I need to see that we are compatible! Torchy's, you get me. There are y'all tables, short tables, and booths. You can stand in line to order like you're at the original food truck or go to the full service bar and have a true dine in experience. OBVIOUSLY we chose to sit at the bar. I asked the bartender about the types of tequila they had and she was incredibly knowledgeable about the types. To make matters better, they had one of my favorite and hard to find tequilas. She mixed a margarita to perfection! Her counterpart Alex was super in that he gave us tips on maximizing the alcohol and minimizing the cost. Then the food. The great choice of names for the tacos not withstanding, they were so tasty! I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. *Personal preference* The street corn isn't worth it. read more

Their cheese dip and chips is really great, otherwise their tacos are good but nothing incredibly innovative. I had the brushfire and the Democrat (sub Chipotle sauce for Tomatillo). My wife had the Midnight Cowboy taco of the month and my kids had the steak tacos. While the ingredients tasted great and we're fresh, the combinations didn't really compliment each other. Again, good but nothing life changing. I took the family here after church for Sunday lunch. The indoor seating is a bit limited for the Sunday lunch rush with people waiting for others to get up. They have plenty of outdoor seating so this shouldn't be an issue in the warmer months, but potentially an issue in the colder months. I'll come back here time and again but not necessarily chomping at the bit. I will definitely be back to try some drinks on their huge drink menu and enjoy their bar area which looks pretty great too - maybe this is their differentiator. read more

I enjoyed my Democrat tacos. They were well packed street food style, unfortunately, there was a piece of plastic in my salsa that appeared to be sheared off from when the preparer cut open the bag that the salsa was shipped in. While the taco and gaucamole were actually very good, I was pretty shocked at the prices for a basic and simple meal. I always thought the point of fast casual was so you didn't have to find servers but when I'm presented with the same tip options as a full service restaurant and the only thing I'm getting is a runner to bring my food and self service drinks I don't see the point in that tip structure. Further, had I known that I would be eating plastic, the resulting tip at the end of the meal would not been as high (possibly even 0) as what I put down when I ordered. The food prices are high enough that you should already be paying the workers a better wage, despite the decent food, I will not return because I can just go to Chuy's down the road. read more

We usually have a good experience at Torchy's but our last visit was not enjoyable. We often stop by on the weekends and the food is always good. We usually mix up our tacos and they are always great, as is the queso and elote. But at our last visit, we sat at the bar as we usually do. We sat down and the bartender, who was standing directly in front of me unloading glasses when I sat down, did not so much as greet us when we arrived. The counter was covered in food droppings from the previous diner, and when the bartender went to clean it, she only cleaned her side of the counter... leaving our side still dirty. She acted as though it really put her out to clean the counter off. At this point, she still had not greeted us. Not a smile, not a welcome, nothing. We were finally given menus an asked what we wanted to drink. We continued with our order and meal, but the bartender continued to be unwelcoming and was occasionally on her phone. Maybe she was having a bad day, I understand these things happen, but a smile can go a long way. Additionally, the staff member who was delivering food to the tables had a chunky cough, which is a complete no-no. That person should have remained home as ill or at a minimum worn a face mask. read more

Love this place!! The tacos are amazing and different. The only reason I give it a 4 star instead of a 5 star is because that is all you get with your meal, the tacos. Torchy's is one of my favorites and the new location didn't disappoint. What wasn't surprising was how long the line was to order. It's like that no matter what location I've been to. The place was packed and they only had one register open taking orders. Once I was able to order, our food came out really quick. Whenever there is a chain that opens a new location I'm always hopeful that the quality of food will be consistently good from location to location. The food at the Rogers location was great! We always start with chips and queso before we enjoy our tacos. You order tacos individually and with so many options it's tough to decide. The food was great it's just a long process so I wouldn't recommend Torchy's if your in a hurry. This was our first visit to the Rogers location but it certainly won't be our last. read more

Fantastic Service!! We went inside and the bartender, Tyler, offered us a seat at the bar with full service saving us from a long line. We ordered a craft beer and a margarita (made with fresh squeezed lime juice) which my husband and I agreed was as good as mine at home! Usually I am very disappointed The queso and chips were warm and spicy good and then out came the beef fajita taco and beef burrito... excellent, hot, and lots of flavor! The beans have an authentic taste not bland like other places we will no longer be frequenting. Salsas are roasted in house and blended- I can tell because I'm a salsa snob! The service was very attentive (Shout out to Tyler and Tiffany!) The bar manager, Brady, came over and asked us how everything was. It was a terrific!! We really enjoyed it!
