I finally got a chance to go to Torchy's Tacos the other night with my family. We all ordered different tacos. Bottom line, they were pretty good. I would definitely go back and try some of the other tacos. I had the Roscoe. A chicken and waffle taco with bacon and a fried egg. I forgot to ask them to fry my egg hard so I had to remove it but no big deal. It was the taco of the month (March) so I'm not sure if it's still a part of the regular menu after the month ends. All of the food we got was really good. Unless you have a big appetite, one taco may be enough. Especially if you get any starters or sides. The star of the show for me was the green Chile queso. It was really good. It comes with chips. It has a little kick of heat to it but not too much. Still may be too much for those who are sensitive to heat. The atmosphere was fun. It was a busy Friday night but the line to order food was long but moved pretty quickly. As long as people eat their food and get out of there in a timely manner, you shouldn't have a problem finding a seat after you've ordered. Hard to say what drinks are like because we don't drink alcohol. read more

Cool spot but the tacos are very expensive for what you get. I ordered the Democrat and the meat was beyond dry. Queso is delicious. It's an okay spot. Likely won't return. read more

Set up is like food truck where you line up, order from the menu, pay, then find a seat and eat. Nice place for casual dining. This building has both indoor and outdoor patio dining. Was too cold and windy to sit outside- despite heaters, so we waited for a table. Sunday lunch crowd makes for a delay to finding seating. Tacos just about any way you can imagine them. We had the taco of the month:Midnight Cowboy. Also, ordered Baja Shrimp, Fried avocado, and Mr Orange tacos. All were very flavorful, with fresh ingredients. Each taco is loaded so makes for an above average portion, but not huge. Friendly staff and good service. read more

First off food is amazing. But the portion sizes and wait times are not. I've gone about 4 times so far and 3 out of the 4 times the burrito I get has been insanely small (while still using a normal burrito tortilla). The one time I went when it was normal was great! And the times it was small it was all beans. So essentially you get tons of tortillas with a little bit of meat and the other normal stuff and mainly beans. Sucks. read more

I was drawn in by their cool looking building, lights, and signage. The service, cleanliness and food wait time was perfect, great. The food? Meh. Very meh. I'm sad to be so let down. Lacking any type of true flavor, it's all camouflaged with spice. The barbecoa and carnitas was so underwhelming, dare I say unappetizing. I love food, and am easy to please, but halfway through my third taco I just thought, "I'm really not enjoying any of these." And didn't finish. Tacos 4Life across the way was so much better and more affordable. read more

I always look forward to going to Torchys, but I was a little bit down this time. The taco I ordered was small and scampi and usually I had to have a fork to eat with a Falls out of it. This one was not that way I didn't even fill up the whole flour tortilla. I told one of the managers about it and he said I have to get on their case and I have really walked on over to talk to other people didn't go back to the kitchen or anything so I was a little let down but I'm sure I'll be back to try it again read more

Ordered dinner to go. Specifically asked for no added spices or any hot/spicy food as I have an allergy. It was early evening and not crowded yet, it took a full 30 minutes to get my order. When I get home , the guacamole was so spicy hot, no one could eat it. I threw it, a beef taco, and a fried shrimp taco in the trash. $30 and still hungry. Try somewhere else. read more

This place has some pretty good tacos and a good selection to satisfy your taste buds. I've been a few times and we were able to order quickly and find a seat. Customer service was good and it did not take too long to receive our food. I usually order the Green Chili Tacos and chips and guacamole. Super good! My husband is a regular and loves Torchy's - especially the queso. When we went together he got the trailer park tacos and loved them. read more

This is our first time at Torchy's Pros: Overall the quality of the food is very good, although the side of corn wasn't our favorite. The environment is fun and music playlist is solid. Cons: $75 to feed a family of four lunch. You are looking at $6+ per taco and sides are ordered separately at additional cost. A 20oz beer is $7+ during the day and you have to do a separate transaction at the bar. The primary negative is cost $$$. Suggestions Drink discounts in the day and possible meal combinations to reduce cost. read more

Eh... it has been mediocre for a while now. I will say their meal kits are worth it and the family has enjoyed those several times. Rest has just been "ok." Queso is great and service has been good. Just not a go to for tacos anymore. read more

It was pretty good! Modernized twist on tacos! will be back for sure, everything was delicious and service was super friendly!

Wish I could say this place was great because I LOVE tacos, but can't. Service was great with friendly staff and it is really cool on the inside. The queso was top notch, I mean really good. 2 of us had the democrat, and was not impressed. The meat didn't have much flavor and seemed very fatty and I didn't think the tortilla was good. I've eaten bad tacos before but I didn't even eat half of this one. Son had the Republican and Baja tacos and loved them. My daughter had the chicken and it was weirdly sweet or something just seemed off about it. I'd heard people give rave reviews about this place but I'd rather eat at Fuzzys or Tacos 4 life which are both in close proximity of this place. read more

Came in to eat for the first time last week. The precautions taken are all quite good and ordering was simple. Sweet tea: absolutely fabulous! Patio- great patio, the space is fun but the tables don't move if you have a larger group. Queso: spicy with a good flavor, generous portion. Tacos: subpar. Brisket was flavorless and had a weird texture. The chicken in another taco had good flavor but was essentially a chicken tender wrapped in tortilla. I feel like it should have been cut up at least a bit. Mexican street corn: awful, the taste was bitter and even if it had been bearable it was lacking salt and mushy. I'll give it another try though. read more

*Walk up ordering with both indoor and outdoor seating. There was a line (expected) during the weekday lunch hour and about 20 minutes to get food. Most items have a kick to them. I ordered the fajita taco and my date ordered the taco with the fried chicken (trashy? something?) along with chips/guac. Our tacos were alright. I could've made this at home. read more

You haven't been to Torchy's? What are you doing reading reviews?? Go get a queso and some tacos! But really, this place is great. So glad they finally expanded outside of Texas. I used to live in Austin and this was a weekly meal for me there. If you're trying to be healthy, they only have one salad, but it's actually pretty good. You can add chicken or salmon to it if you like. Regardless, go to Torchy's read more

Let me start by saying I want this place to be great and it disappoints again. Decided to do pickup. This is my second time to this particular location. 1. Service was fine order and pick up was super easy. 2. Food is not quality. Tacos over salted. Corn tortilla was rubbery. The best part was the chicken tender. Everything else was below par. In today's world $5 for average won't keep you around long. Give it a try maybe they will improve you decide if you want to go back. read more

Food is ok... prices are crazy HIGH!! There is basically no service. You place your order at the counter and get your own drink, silverware and such. Find a spot to sit and they bring your food out. A side order of corn is like $5 for a 1/2 cup of seasoned corn. Bean dip - aka beans and cheese and zero seasoning $6 for 1/2 cup of retried beans - a tiny decoration of cheese and seriously almost no seasonings. Canned rosaria refried beans, a chunk of velveeta and some bottled Pace picante sauce would be better at a fraction of the price! Guac was ok - again very limited seasoning. But hey - fresh avocado is yummy!! Personally I like pico or chunks of tomato, onion, maybe a tiny bit of jalapeño or at least some red pepper flakes. Ooo and a squeeze of LIME!! You know, a little personality! My friends got tacos. Nobody raved but no loud complaints either. Will I go back? Only if somebody else REALLY wants to go! (And turns down ALL the other places I suggest... and this is the least "bad" place). And I know - I gave it 3 stars.... why? Spice your own stuff and it'll taste great! Ask for onions and jalapeños, and extra limes! Add the veggies and some salsa to the quac and other dishes and BAM! But, if you have to do it yourself, why not just do it all at home?! read more

Overall, I enjoyed my experience here! The inside and outside seating is plentiful. I honestly can't wait for it to be warmer, because I loved the patio. There are two different bars, so I think some good times will be had here! The line was LONG to get food, which considering It had not been long since it opened, made since. As we waiting in line, the wall of windows had the sun beating down on us, which made me anxious and enjoy everything a little less. It was SO HOT. Wishing they had shades to pull down. When it came to order, the staff was friendly! I got the queso, guacamole, Baja shrimp taco and the Trailer Park. The dips were EXCELLENT. 10/10, would eat again and again. What was interesting about the tacos was that everyone I was with for two tacos, the Baja shrimp and something else. Collectively, we thought the Baja shrimp was better than the other. So, yeah, I enjoyed my time, food was good and atmosphere was nice. read more

For me, every dining experience starts with the atmosphere. This sounds so superficial but it's true! Before I can em not the food, I want to get the character of the place. I mean, we're about to enter a relationship together for the next hour! I need to see that we are compatible! Torchy's, you get me. There are y'all tables, short tables, and booths. You can stand in line to order like you're at the original food truck or go to the full service bar and have a true dine in experience. OBVIOUSLY we chose to sit at the bar. I asked the bartender about the types of tequila they had and she was incredibly knowledgeable about the types. To make matters better, they had one of my favorite and hard to find tequilas. She mixed a margarita to perfection! Her counterpart Alex was super in that he gave us tips on maximizing the alcohol and minimizing the cost. Then the food. The great choice of names for the tacos not withstanding, they were so tasty! I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. *Personal preference* The street corn isn't worth it. read more

What can you say about Torchy's other than it's awesome? If you haven't been, I hurt for you. Go soon, check out the secret menu on their website, and get at least one thing you order "hillbilly style". Afterwards you will be overcome with happiness and a sense of gratitude. Not only to the people of Torchy's, but also to me for writing this review. read more

Their cheese dip and chips is really great, otherwise their tacos are good but nothing incredibly innovative. I had the brushfire and the Democrat (sub Chipotle sauce for Tomatillo). My wife had the Midnight Cowboy taco of the month and my kids had the steak tacos. While the ingredients tasted great and we're fresh, the combinations didn't really compliment each other. Again, good but nothing life changing. I took the family here after church for Sunday lunch. The indoor seating is a bit limited for the Sunday lunch rush with people waiting for others to get up. They have plenty of outdoor seating so this shouldn't be an issue in the warmer months, but potentially an issue in the colder months. I'll come back here time and again but not necessarily chomping at the bit. I will definitely be back to try some drinks on their huge drink menu and enjoy their bar area which looks pretty great too - maybe this is their differentiator. read more

Honestly I am addicted to the Queso and chips . The tacos are amazing and service is always great . Great addition to Rogers food choices

Inconsistent with portion size and freshness. Sometimes, their food is super fresh and generous portions. Other times, like today, portions are laughably small and food is not hot. My Trailer Park taco had one small piece of chicken for $4.30 in a nearly empty tortilla shell. We arrived to pick up our online order at the quoted time near opening time and expected hot fresh food but it was not. read more

Normally the visit is good! Great food when you can enjoy it!!!!! But when they don't even want to turn on the heat and it's 30s outside and feels just as cold inside, I should not have been freezing like that. Bar style chairs and cold seats and cold atmosphere is not inviting! read more

I enjoyed my Democrat tacos. They were well packed street food style, unfortunately, there was a piece of plastic in my salsa that appeared to be sheared off from when the preparer cut open the bag that the salsa was shipped in. While the taco and gaucamole were actually very good, I was pretty shocked at the prices for a basic and simple meal. I always thought the point of fast casual was so you didn't have to find servers but when I'm presented with the same tip options as a full service restaurant and the only thing I'm getting is a runner to bring my food and self service drinks I don't see the point in that tip structure. Further, had I known that I would be eating plastic, the resulting tip at the end of the meal would not been as high (possibly even 0) as what I put down when I ordered. The food prices are high enough that you should already be paying the workers a better wage, despite the decent food, I will not return because I can just go to Chuy's down the road. read more

I love there food it is the beast taco and chick that I have ever had in my life I would definitely like to come back.

Great tacos, a couple ones were a little too spicy for me, but if you like that then you oughta try them out!

Do not waste your time or money. $5 for a taco. Very limited choice of tacos. I think they spent more time on the names of the tacos than they did making a taco that tastes very good. The taste was fine, but $24 for 1 taco, 2 drinks (tea) and some chips quest and refried beans? And they don't have basic tacos. They are all "gourmet". Just go to Fuzzy's which is pretty much right next door if you want tacos. If you have to advertise as being "damn good tacos", they're probably not that damn good anyway. read more

Great margaritas!! The green chili pork taco is awesome and the roja salsa is always a must have! Great service too!

Don't waste your time or money. Staff is rude. Overpriced food and no servers tending to your table. I told the lady who delivered our food that it was wrong and her response was, "Ok." I would have expected, "Let me fix that for you." Or something that warranted the tip that we gave before being seated. Pretty bummed with this place. read more

We usually have a good experience at Torchy's but our last visit was not enjoyable. We often stop by on the weekends and the food is always good. We usually mix up our tacos and they are always great, as is the queso and elote. But at our last visit, we sat at the bar as we usually do. We sat down and the bartender, who was standing directly in front of me unloading glasses when I sat down, did not so much as greet us when we arrived. The counter was covered in food droppings from the previous diner, and when the bartender went to clean it, she only cleaned her side of the counter... leaving our side still dirty. She acted as though it really put her out to clean the counter off. At this point, she still had not greeted us. Not a smile, not a welcome, nothing. We were finally given menus an asked what we wanted to drink. We continued with our order and meal, but the bartender continued to be unwelcoming and was occasionally on her phone. Maybe she was having a bad day, I understand these things happen, but a smile can go a long way. Additionally, the staff member who was delivering food to the tables had a chunky cough, which is a complete no-no. That person should have remained home as ill or at a minimum worn a face mask. read more

Torchy's is one of my favorites and the new location didn't disappoint. What wasn't surprising was how long the line was to order. It's like that no matter what location I've been to. The place was packed and they only had one register open taking orders. Once I was able to order, our food came out really quick. Whenever there is a chain that opens a new location I'm always hopeful that the quality of food will be consistently good from location to location. The food at the Rogers location was great! We always start with chips and queso before we enjoy our tacos. You order tacos individually and with so many options it's tough to decide. The food was great it's just a long process so I wouldn't recommend Torchy's if your in a hurry. This was our first visit to the Rogers location but it certainly won't be our last. read more
