Got the queso which is an item we regularly order. It was super salty I took the queso back and told them I get queso every time we come in and this is super salty. They offered to give me guacamole or salsa and instead of it, which I declined didn't want either one of them. No apologies. No, I will give you your money back. No nothing. Then my husband and I ate some of the chips and realized it's the chips. The chips are drenched in salt. It probably wasn't the queso so I go back up to explain and she's just OK. Came here with a lunch group of four. Did not disappoint. These tacos are delicious and filling. I had a carnitas and Baja fish taco. The combination was great and both had cotija cheese. It was so tasty. The guac and chips was also fresh and had a nice kick with chorizo. It took a minute to get counter service. This taco joint came highly recommended. So, my wife and I wanted to eat tacos one night and decided to give this a try. Let me say ........ I was very under-whelmed! The building is pretty swanky-looking. The menu is easy to understand. The ice is INCREDIBLE (pellet ice, people, pellet ice!! The best!!). The queso is very yummy. Annnnnd......that is where it all stops. My wife got the Baja Shrimp, which she said was "bland, but fine." She also got the Mr. Orange, which is blackened salmon. She said it was way too salty. I tasted it and I agree. It was over-salted. My wife didn't finish it and I don't blame her. Not good at all!! I got the democrat. Bland, bland, bland. And super dry. I put some tomatillo on it and that was better, but has to be one of worst street tacos I've had in a long time. I also had the Crossroads. That was better, but still too dry and the jalapenos (obviously canned ... ew!) were slimy and nasty. All in all, the food was not good (except the free chips and queso). The other problem was the music. It sounded like we were in a night club. Not really good for a restaurant atmosphere. I am only in my 30s and it was too loud and very annoying. It seemed they were trying to get me to eat faster so I could get away from the music of the place. It worked. I had no problems with the staff. They did their job, but nothing that I saw was over-the-top. Just their job, which is good. So, I will not return. I will not recommend. I know of many better taco places in Rogers. Usually, I love Torchys usually. Their food is fantastic, especially the taco of the month. Tonight, however, pissed me off. We came in at around 7:30, apparently just after a surprise large group. We waited for 30 minutes while that entire group got served. Then, we waited 30 more minutes for our food. Nothing from anyone. Nobody updated us. People who ordered way after us were eating and leaving. Finally, when my brother went up to ask about it, is when we finally learned they had lost our ticket. They wanted to make up for it with free dip and chips, but at that point we were absolutely done with the night. We got a refund and some coupons for waiting in hunger for over an hour. As someone who currently works in food service and has for a combined two and a half years, we would have felt so much better if they had just told us what happened instead of leaving us in the dark. I've gone about 4 times so far and 3 out of the 4 times the burrito I get has been insanely small (while still using a normal burrito tortilla). The one time I went when it was normal was great! And the times it was small it was all beans. So essentially you get tons of tortillas with a little bit of meat and the other normal stuff and mainly beans. Sucks. read more

We love coming to Torchy's pretty much exclusively for the Queso. It's so good. My only complaint is that sometimes you get a chip that's chewy? My go-to taco is the Mr. Orange salmon taco. JUST got dinner for pickup from the Roger's Torchys. Wait staff was very kind. My boyfriend's tacos were great However, I ordered the Airstream Salad with Salmon. Salmon was yummy and cooked decently. The salad was prepared with limp lettuce, browned lettuce, one slice of avocado with some blue dye on it and it was also very browned. Very gross and I only ate the salmon. I NEVER request for a meal to be taken back to the kitchen and I am not a picky eater but I would have in this case. Not acceptable. This has got to be one of the coolest restaurant buildings I've seen in a very long time. The environment is really nice. The menu takes a bit to absorb all the info as the number of options can be a little overwhelming. Service was fast as was the food. We got the green chille queso & chips which was very good (5 stars). The first taco that I ate was the Republican. I found it out be okay and kinda odd as it had regular link sausage for the meat. The cheese sauce was good and complimented the food well. It was okay (3 stars). Hot sauces: I got a sample of each of their hot sauces. There were only 2 that tasted decent: Tamatillo and Avocado. The rest were fairly sweet for a hot sauce. Rather gross honestly (1 star) The next taco that I are was the green chille. This was actually decent. The only sauce that was good with it was the tamatillo (3.5 - 4 stars). Then came the Democrat. I had to put the taco down half way through. I'm not a picky person when it comes to food. This thing... just gross. It didn't matter what sauce I put in it, it was just a no-go (No stars). Now I have an upset stomach as the food was just overall very sub-par. I finally got a chance to go to Torchy's Tacos the other night with my family. We all ordered different tacos. Bottom line, they were pretty good. I would definitely go back and try some of the other tacos. I had the Roscoe. A chicken and waffle taco with bacon and a fried egg. I forgot to ask them to fry my egg hard so I had to remove it but no big deal. It was the taco of the month (March) so I'm not sure if it's still a part of the regular menu after the month ends. All of the food we got was really good. Unless you have a big appetite, one taco may be enough. Especially if you get any starters or sides. The star of the show for me was the green Chile queso. It was really good. It comes with chips. It has a little kick of heat to it but not too much. Still may be too much for those who are sensitive to heat. The atmosphere was fun. It was a busy Friday night but the line to order food was long but moved pretty quickly. As long as people eat their food and get out of there in a timely manner, you shouldn't have a problem finding a seat after you've ordered. Hard to say what drinks are like because we don't drink alcohol. read more
