Was so happy to be here again! 5/5 queso & chips $8.45 - queso has guac in the middle, as delicious, spicy, & creamy as I remember it the 1st time 4/5 Baja shrimp tacos $6.45 - really good, but a bit too salty read more

Regina is always so sweet and awesome. She remembers everyone's name and greets everyone promptly. I tried the tots today. Delicious. Ask for a Diablo or ponlano ranch. They pair well with it. Always a good place here at torchys. Chill ambiance, and awesome great big patio if you want to sit outside. read more

So bummed that one of my favorite taco places seems to be in serious decline. The service isn't great, the food quality has become mediocre and it seems like they have turned to petty charges to make up for it. I ordered chips and salsa and they gave me about 2oz of salsa and then told me I had to pay for more despite still having a full tray of chips. The food was barely Luke warm and the staff wasn't friendly about anything. read more

In town visiting family and my husband was super excited to come here again. This was my first time and I was blown away by the creative taco options on the menu. My favorite taco of the night- hands down is the jerk chicken with mango taco! In terms of ambiance, the place was clean and I had no issues. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was due to service. We sat at the bar and rhe bartender we had spent a LOT of time talking to some girlfriends of hers nearby- it took what seemed like forever to be able to get our drinks and place our orders. Outside of that it was all good! read more

I've had great experiences at Torchy's Tacos. It's a fun spot with a creative taco menu and a laid back atmosphere that makes it easy to stop in for a quick bite. There are a lot of good options, but the mango tacos are the best in my opinion. The sweetness from the mango pairs perfectly with the other flavors and makes the taco really stand out. Portions are solid and the tacos come out fresh, which keeps me coming back whenever I'm craving something flavorful and a little different from the usual taco spot. Service is quick! read more

We came here on a weekday morning for lunch. There was little wait and we were able to order and get our food pretty quickly. The restaurant was very lively, but not very busy. We ordered: - Brushfire Taco - It was delicious and chicken was juicy and it was a good combination with the sauce it came with. Overall, I found it was not very spicy, but combining with the sauce made up for it. - Baja Shrimp Taco - The shrimp was juicy and slightly crunchy, that combined with the cheese, veggies and sauce made it delicious! We also got chips with 3 different dips (Green Chile Queso, Guacamole, Street Corn). All three dips were delicious, but my favorite was definitely the Green Chile Queso as the cheese and the chili combination was delicious Overall the food and service was great and will be back to try other items on the menu! read more

Damn good tacos! Taste, quality and speed of service. Fast casual done right for sure!

Torchy's catered our graduation party for a group of 20 and everything was perfect! Rice, carnita, pollo asado, all delicious. Flour and corn tortillas. Avocado slices. Onion cilantro, sour cream and all of the delicious sauces served in store. It made for an excellent buffet spread. Well done, and thank you! '26 read more

tried Torchy's Tacos in Texas and really enjoyed it -- the tacos were packed with flavor and had fun, creative combinations. The queso was definitely the highlight, super creamy and perfect with their chips. It's a laid-back, casual spot, and while it's not fancy, it's a great place to grab something tasty and satisfying. read more

I want to give a big shout out to the manager, Javier. My husband & I went to a salsa dance class that went into overtime. We went to the gym earlier in the day & we discovered that move was a huge mistake. Needless to say, we were exhausted & hungy! We arrived at 9;58 pm on Monday & Javier let us know that the bartender had already left but he would be happy to serve us drinks & food. We were extremely happy for his hospitality! We sat in the booth & had an amazing experience. The tacos we ordered were the best we've had in a while. I highly recommend this location. The restaurant was very clean & inviting. Most of all, the food & drinks were so satisfying. Javier absolutely made our experience the best Torchy's experience ever!! Thank you for providing outstanding customer service Javier! You deserve a raise!! read more

Torchy's Tacos - Underwhelming - Tex-Mex Near Me - Plano, Texas

A great spot to meet friends. I love the queso and conversations that happen. The service is amazing. My order was different and not necessarily off the menu. Other than the chips and queso. I got a side of meat so I could make my own nachos. I've done it a couple times now and as much as I like the tacos I really to to Torchy's for the chips and queso. We were having a great night and we actually stayed until closing, and everyone was so great and we weren't pushed out. The consistency has improved. I've been to two different locations recently and the food had the same wonderful favor at each location. Torchy's has become somewhere where I enjoy spending time with family and friends. read more

DISGUSTING!!! Food was cold! And not fresh at all! I ordered two Baja Shrimp tacos! Disappointed. Torchy's used to be really good. They weren't busy at all so I know they know my food was cold. UPDATE: I returned and the manager happily gave me my money back. Didn't apologize or offer to remake it. I think she knew that the food was cold. I did ask if the shrimp were supposed to be fried fresh and she said yes. Mine definitely were not fresh. read more

The menu to me seemed okay. The food was good. Not a big fan. I have maybe been three times but it was another persons choice.

No crispy tacos here! Ingredients are placed on a flour or corn tortilla in a plastic basket. The menu isn't friendly to a first time visitor. No combination plates with a taco , rice , and refried beans! Everything is selected individually. Possibly done to reduce sticker shock when you get your total bill . Must be an Austin Texas thing ( home base). I had the fried avocado on flour And Fajita chicken on flour and drink . Food was good . Taco Joint ,Taco Casa, or Rosa's Cafe are much better operations and customer friendly here in DFW. This was fast food at sit down restaurant prices. Your dollar is torched at Torchy's if you don't watch your choices. read more

This place is not what it used to be. In fact, I said this the last time I went about a year ago and kicked myself after I left today. Food quality has gone way down hill in our (wife) opinion. They were showcasing a "Space Cowboy" taco which was not good. A fried chicken taco with chicken that was chewy, stringy and cold. Tortilla didnt even seem fresh. Salmon taco was not good and did not taste fresh either. Chips are mid. Tots were the highlight which is just really disappointing. Unfortunately, we've decided that was the last time to Torchys for us. After tasting my wifes Space Cowboy, I left mine behind, untouched. Didn't even take it to go. read more

the hog father was my absolute favorite now. green chile pork carnitas, teriyaki sauce, bacon, crispy onions, grilled corn relish, cotija cheese, cilantro on a flour tortilla with a side of diablo sauce. chips and queso are a must, yum! sodas here are awesome they have lots of selection from fountain sodas and lemonades. read more

I went to Torchy recently ordered nachos, guacamole and hillbillies queso to go. They didn't give me the queso for my nachos and I called to notify them I didn't get any queso for my nachos and the manager only offered a refund of $3 for the Nachos of which I paid $12 for since I got the pico sour cream and chips. The main ingredient is the cheese... Definitely won't be back to the store in Frisco, Texas. read more

We love their tacos!! Service is good as well. Tacos are big and tasty. It's always a treat.

Quick service and quantity food served simply. I like the fish and brisket tacos. Great place to have a quick lunch or snack.

This place was delicious!!! There's a walk up counter and also a bar/seating area, along with a patio. The inside decor is so fun and bright. We got queso with chorizo which was so delicious and didn't feel greasy like chorizo usually does. The tacos come with specific sauce which was delicious and such a good touch, I love dips! The service was good before it got busy, we had to track down our waiter but didn't change my experience. read more

I'm so tired of this place getting my order wrong. I have ordered from them at least a dozen times and every single time my order is completely wrong. COMPLETELY. It's a vicious cycle. Torchy's has amazing food! I have never been disappointed with any of my orders or food I've enjoyed. But I wanted to call out the team who works at the Plano location. It was during a Sunday lunch hour - the place was incredibly busy. So much going on inside and outside on the patio of the restaurant. I was running errand in the area and needed something easy to eat - hence craving for the Hillbilly queso and chips ordered through the Torchy's app. Unfortunately this particular location does not have a dedicated pick up parking spot and when this place is jumping busy, it's very difficult to find parking. I did manage to find a parking spot and ran inside to pick up my order inside. What I did find impressive, is that no matter how busy the place is, every staff member I encountered was ALWAYS kind to ask if I needed help or answer any questions. I love how hospitable they are. Great job, Plano Team!! read more

My boyfriend and I go to torchy's all the time and have a great experience. The staff is always super friendly, and the food is always great. This time we went and sat at the bar and the bartender wasn't the most pleasant. She barely spoke to us, never smiled once, barely checked on us, and gave weird looks to us whenever we asked for something or ordered something. I am a waitress so I understand what it's like and I know people have bad days but this seemed more than that. We got our queso and it didn't look the way it normally did, but we tasted it and it was watery, had no flavor, and wasn't hot. I kindly explained what was wrong with it and she stared at me blankly and said "okay?" I asked if we could get a fresh queso and she said yes and went to get us a new one. She brought another one back and it was exactly the same as the first one but I didn't want to complain again so we told her it was a little better. Overall she seemed very uninterested in taking care of us, maybe because we are teenagers and the stereotype is "teens don't tip" but if we were to actually get good service of course we would tip 20%. read more

Torchy's Tacos - Mimosa love on the weekend! - Tex-Mex Near Me - Plano, Texas

We ordered the Hillbilly queso but was brought the plain one and it took quite a while when normally it is extremely quick. The rest of our meal was very good a couple of tacos and a chicken burrito. We ordered frozen margaritas but received on the rocks first round then received frozen second round They were average. We sat at the bar where we always sit, about three to four times per month dropping a hundred dollars per visit. The bar tender was new and extremely slow. Dirty glasses were scattered all over the bar area and counters. Overall a bad experience for a normally spot on location. read more
