This B&B run by Mike and Deb is exceptional in many ways. Nice sized room with all the amenities of a home. They've truly thought of everything! Fabulous view of Torch Lake, full breakfast delivered to your room in the morning, goodies and water in the fridge, robes, games, and so much more. When we arrived, it was pouring rain. Mike and Deb stepped up to help us get our bags from the car to our room. They are amazing and this place is a gem. We would highly recommend staying here.

The owners, Mike and Debbie are outstanding Inn Keepers! They graciously welcomed us - their lovely home is welcoming, clean, quiet and comfortable. There is a boat dock with paddle boards, kayaks and other water toys. The view of the lake from the main house is amazing. Debbie's breakfasts are served at 9:00am and are truly gourmet. She loves to cook and makes wedding cakes professionally-and she always has an assortment of fresh cupcakes that are irresistible! They are true professionals - we recommend this B&B!

Looking up from the road. You can sit on the right side mid-level deck.

And it truly looked like an "up north" restraunt, with the wooden walls, and the white bear near the entrance. This seems lake a place where people know each other and come here frequently; several times, I saw servers greeting customers by name. The complimentary bread they served was delicious. Nobody else in our party wanted the leftovers, so I was the lucky recipient of 3 loaves! I ordered the whitefish on a plank. It was a huge piece of fish served with mashed potatoes and fresh broccoli that was cooked just right; it didn't even need any seasoning. It was big enough that I was satisfied with just half and I took the other half home to enjoy later. We also shared an ice cream sandwich -- coffee ice cream sandwiched between 2 chocolate chip cookies, with some whipped cream on the side. It was good but too sweet. The only negative to me was that the water was well water, an overwhelming taste that, as I suburban dweller, I never got used to.

The bar was full too. Luckily, we had reservations so we were good. We started off with the fried morel mushrooms. Helloooo! These were so delicious. Additionally, we got the whitefish bites and the complimentary bread. So hard not to try everything, but it makes it easier with a bigger party. For dinner, I got the smaller portion of walled eyed. The fish was so fresh! I didn't think I had room for dessert, but we shared a slice of carrot cake. It was worth it! Highly recommend this place for a special occasion. Such a beautiful place! I want to come back and check out the bar wi the husband for a chill night too.

Beautiful Victorian Bed and Breakfast in Bellaire, MI. I stayed here for three nights on business…read moretravel and was very pleased with the breakfast and the facilities. The owners have worked out every detail such as entry to the hotel, keys to your room, and location of power strips (which are always out of the way and require just a little searching). I hope to return here with my wife on future trips.

Linda and Ken, the owners of the home, are warm and gracious. They will greet you at the door as though you are an old friend just stopping by. The home is lovingly taken care of as exemplified by the knowledge they have into the history of it and the attention to detail in showing it off. We stayed in the Queen Ann room which had a working fireplace, a four poster bed, and several seats (no TV ; TV wasn't around at the turn of the century). This room, I was told, was originally a sitting room to the master bedroom but was plenty big enough for our one-night stay. The attached bathroom was small but met our needs and didn't detract from the décor at all. Breakfast was at 9am sharp. Linda served homemade puff pancakes with fruit topping and sausage. I had never heard of puff pancakes but they were a great. I didn't realize this going into my stay, but breakfast is served with all the guests of the Inn. So be prepared to make small talk with the other people staying in the house! I would give my stay 5 stars except that other than the Shorts Brewery, which is why we were there in the first place, there is not much else to do in town. There appears to be one other higher-end type restaurant that closed relatively early and another local watering-hole within walking distance but not much else. We would've stayed longer had the town offered more this time of year (October). If you are interested in staying here, be aware that it's about 45-1 hour drive to Traverse City, although Torch Lake is close by if you were coming for that.

My nine year old granddaughter thought it was the BEST vacation ever…read more I'm her grandma and I love to see her so jazzed. Not a place for an adults only vacation. But as an adult, I would not go in the pool because little kids, well they never get out of the pool. I recommend springing for a cabana as it gives you a central location,a TV , a fridge to keep stuff cold and bottles of water. Next time I am going to bring bread, peanut better, jam and some paper plates and other easy lunch or dinner options. We did not go off site at all. And the food there is expensive and not healthy

This incident left me feeling unsafe and raised significant concerns about your security procedures and guest privacy protections. Additionally, during my son's birthday celebration, an employee took a toy directly from my son. This interaction was upsetting, embarrassing, and completely inappropriate. What should have been a joyful birthday memory became a negative experience due to the actions of your staff. Beyond these incidents, the overall quality of our stay was extremely disappointing. The food quality was poor, the beverages were unpleasant, and the customer service throughout the resort did not meet the standards I have come to expect from Great Wolf Lodge.
