This spot blew me away!!! Cool little spot with a real college pizza place feel! Service was great. Guy behind the counter was cool, helpful and polite. Now to the food! I'm not from Whitewater so I asked around a bit and did my YELP! search. Toppers was highly recommended! It did not disappoint!!! The Za was some of the best I have ever had anywhere!!! Great sauce awesome crust toppings were good and the cheese was so tasty! Seriously if your in Whitewater and want some Za this is the only place to get it!!! Never again. I'm so sick of trying to give this place another try when all they do is mess it up. Simple pepperoni pizza, " oh it's gonna be another 20 minutes, we messed it up. I love toppers. They are by far my favorite place to order pizza from. I give two stars though because I ordered a pizza and they never showed. I didn't even get a call. I called them and they said they didn't have an order listed. My boyfriend then called and they said that the driver called but it said my number didn't exist. They said they would redeliver the pizza and once again they didn't call or show up. This is not the first time this has happened and it will be a while before I order from this toppers again. I am struggling on whether this is a 2 or 3 star pizza place. Having spent almost four years living in Chicago, it is hard for pizza joints to compete with the great deep dish pizzas of Giordano's, Lou's and Gino's to name a few (along with the many other pizza places that don't do deep dish but have amazing pizzas). As well I have a fondness for local mom and pop joints. I like my pizza to come out of a traditional pizza oven and not off a conveyer belt pizza oven (like the chains). I don't like a lot of grease and so that is what makes me really struggle here. Toppers is a chain, so it has the conveyer belt ovens and it is greasier than I like. What I liked about the pizza was that the sauce was good, there was a lot of meat on the pizza. There was a good amount of cheese and overall the taste wasn't bad. The cons are that it is, in my opinion greasy. The price is definitely not a deal. It doesn't have a mom and pop feel. In the end, because of where the place is located (Whitewater, WI) and the other choices in town, I will say this is a 3 star pizza place. It is better than the chain pizza joint in town. So, if you are looking for a pizza this is an A-OK place to grab a pie. read more

Pizza at toppers will be heavy on cheese, medium sauce, be ready for that and yeah... Pizza is a 4/5 in my book, near the top of my all time greatest pizza's although I usually do not favor cheese heavy pizza due to the health factor and grease. I recommend not doing pepperoni for grease sake, but its all great tasting even if you do.... The smell of the pizza is intoxicating-ly good. You get pepperoncini peppers in the box with your order and they have become a staple for me thanks to Toppers. I recommend bite a pepper, bite a pizza slice (even if your against the idea) and that has become a toppers tradition I use today on most of my own pizza dishes. THE HOLY GRAIL OF TOPPERS: is topperstix (do a triple order, you will regret anything smaller), they are the mecca of the cheese covered bread stick world. If you do not get anything else on the menu, get these with marinara and ranch. You wouldn't think ranch, but trust an expert the ranch is perfect with these doughy melty cheese treats. These are a must and you will see what everyone else sees who has ever had them. Subs and sandwiches are high quality, but the price point is scraping the top of the feasible range with subway around down on main, but they have deals from time to time to help out. Quesadillas are new in the past 2 years, I think they need to be priced better however for their fullness factor. Wings from toppers are good, little pricey unless you have a coupon deal, but I reco these if you have the taste for them. This chain is expanding now from the world HQ in whitewater so there may be one around you in WI now, check around. My buddy is a franchiser there and does a very detailed job of openings and listening to customers. They are only recently chaining out, but you need to stop in. Open late I believe to 2-3am? For the price it is much better than most fast-food chain pizza restaurants unquestionably. We were staying at the local super 8 hotel in town and late at night after making it back from a concert ( Zac Brown Band ) @ Alpine Valley Amphitheater we were hungry. Well, Nothing open anywhere or so we thought. The desk attendant told us of a local pizza place that stayed open late. We called and ordered our pizza from Toppers! 25 minutes later it arrived and was beautifully covered with molten cheese and a hearty helping of meats and goodies. I have a long, sorted love-hate relationship with Toppers as a former Whitewater student, where the following is like a cult and I will forever have their phone number memorized. We get the Stix and a couple of their specialty pizzas once in awhile, usually attached to a lazy or self-loathing weekend afternoon.
