We were getting ready for our wedding so instead of teaching us various dances, they pushed us to learn one song and a few dance moves. We kept coming in asking to see different dances, but we were told that's too much to learn for one song. Forget the song, we came to learn more dancing, get practice and confidence. Some lessons were shorter than others and the instructor repeated the same lesson as before - he kept saying he forgot if he taught us this already, but they have a folder with our name on it so I didn't buy the act. A few lessons in they give you a "half" lesson which is really just a warm up, someone reviewing what you learned and then a massive sales pitch. It was a waste of our night when we thought we were getting a lesson. Then, after we didn't buy the lessons, the remaining classes continued to just be practice with maybe one tip. I wish we had learned more dances for the amount of time we spent at this studio. The first night they gave us a folder with the stuff we would learn... well, we learned a few steps and we have a folder we can try playing with. All in all, I don't really recommend Fred Astaire unless you are using up a gift certificate.

If you live in the Brookfield area this location is much easier to get to but located in a very busy area unless you like to drop off your kid and shop. We also come here due to scheduling to make sure we have Coach Travis. They seem to have more equipment here as well. They also have Allegro Eminence Dance Center located on 2nd floor. We have been here on and off the past 4 years and now my daughter is taking gymnastics seriously. We've had several different coaches throughout the years and now have found Coach Travis on Saturday to be the best one so far and my daughter has excelled faster already in 4 weeks. I see how is is progressing them and building skills. He is really doing a great job developing them. New owners, not a lot of changes but the new ownership is nice. We've missed a session or two but no problem we can make them up on a different day. We've tried the Y and that was nice to try it to see if she would like it but when you break down the cost the coaching and facility this is a better value. We have had birthday parties here as well. Very accommodating for parties. Sensei and his team of instructors give each child individual attention to help them learn and grow into productive citizens! After class I often see the leadership team helping students and talking with parents. I know my children are in a safe and positive environment, and are enriched each week at their classes. When she first shows the class a move, there's always a few of us left with mouths hanging open in extended "wows." Anna then does a great job of breaking down more complicated moves into smaller manageable pieces so that you can do it too! She also provides conditioning that will help you get off the ground and into the air! And into the air you will go! Whether it's basic climbs, hip-keys or drops, the super high ceilings at Turner Hall will make you feel like a pro even if you're just starting out. :-) I had been desperately looking for a place to train in silks during my Milwaukee summer internship. I randomly found out about Anna through a juggler at Summerfest (shoutout to Geoff and the Fire Circus!), so I knew she would be legit. I've only been able to go for a handful of weeks before heading back home, but I will miss Anna and the rest of the silks crew. Keep having fun and being cool, ladies! I have been taking private lessons and group classes with Anna for just over a year. I started as a…read morecomplete beginner, knowing nothing about aerial fitness or performance. Aerial certainly can be complex and require some strength, Anna was able to tailor our lessons to what I was able to do. If there were moves and tricks I wasn't able to nail, she either modified them to make them a little easier, or would show me conditioning exercises to work through on my own time, so we could revisit the move at another lesson. Aerial can be a little daunting to those who are new to it, but Anna understands and helps through the lesson. I'd highly recommend taking classes with Anna for anyone who is looking to gain some strength and flexibility. Aerial itself is a workout, but it has also enhanced other areas of exercise for me. Most importantly though, it's fun! Again, Anna is able to tailor classes to not only level of expertise, but also to what you want out of it. She can show sequences that really push your muscles to get a good workout, ones that are simply fun and showy, and everything in between. After a couple months of taking lessons with Anna, I ended up utilizing one of those Groupon deals for another aerial studio in Milwaukee. At said other studio, I couldn't believe the lack of focus on safety. One instructor for a group of 15 people, no breakdown of how to safely get into and out of poses and moves, and a general lack of reading the level of fitness of the group and their abilities. I was lucky I had started my aerial experience with Anna, and had learned how to keep my body safe and to read my abilities. In the Groupon deal class, I watched as complete beginners struggled through the lesson and almost injure themselves multiple times. Currently, Anna Belle Aerial offers a mix of group classes for different aerial apparatuses as well as private to semi-private lessons, all at a reasonable price.

We entered one of the many doors of the Wisconsin Center and the door man told us we couldn't enter until 4 when our tickets said 2:45PM. After a few minutes back and forth, we were directed to the floor C on the third floor where the exhibit was. There were only about 15 families with us. After a wait, we were directed into the hall and to an area where there was a Master Builder that had a presentation for the kids and a "wrecking" activity for the kids at the end. We then went to a Create section to build something for the state map. We asked if we could leave and did a quick speed dating picture taking with all of the models before the general public got in. This event is geared toward smaller kids but my 11 year old still had a good time. There is a collection of larger than life LEGO sculptures from POP culture around the event such as the new Wonder Woman that is debuted in Milwaukee. The exhibits are heavy in Star Wars and action heroes. There were build activities throughout the exhibit as well as two LEGO stores. In the LEGO Friends exhibit geared towards girls, we took pictures in the selfie booth as well as got a free pack of girl LEGOS. There was a green screen to take action pictures in front of as well as video games and other interactive exhibits. I as an adult enjoyed taking pictures in front of the statues. Some of the time we were just standing there waiting for our kid to finish. My daughter loved making LEGO angels in the pile of LEGOS. When the rest of the public got in, it became a mosh pit. All in all it was a good family day. For us, most likely a one time thing because I think we aged out. We parked across the street before 3 and only had to pay $2.00/hr. When we were leaving, they had the event prices posted at $10.00. The Friday session wasn't sold out but the other sessions on Saturday were. They recommend purchasing tickets online.
