Went in for manicure and pedicure experience while there wasn't bad except after pedicure was done I was having gel nails with Tera who was very nice but had another customer come in right after she began that she knew. The other lady was waiting on her so she rushed my manicure. Two days later I had several that chipped. I live out of town so drive back 5 days later. The owner asked me who did my nails said that shouldn't happen. He had Tera come back out to redo what she didn't do right the first time. She was obviously very put off by this. I told her thanks for making it right and hit no response but a snarle. I left and one day later had another chip on my thumb nail. So disappointed won't be going back there again! read more

Again, I'm not a resident of Bloomington, but this is the place my friend goes and she loves it, so I decided to give it a try while I was in town. Topline Nails is really popular during the week, so watch out. I was actually kind of surprised that a Thursday late morning brought out so many ladies with absolutely nothing to do during the day but get their nails done (do you have jobs?). We ended up having to wait about 30 minutes to actually sit down and get a mani/pedi. If you're in this situation, the nail place is in a strip mall, so you can go do some shopping... or something. My nails were done very nicely. The pedicure was kind of slow (we ended up being in there for like an hour) but she did three coats and did a really nice job making everything look shiny. I also got my eyebrows done, which were nicely shaped, but grew back in about a week. I don't know what kind of low-grade wax they're using, but it doesn't pull any of the hairs out far enough. So, my eyebrows looked great for about a week and then it was just blah. I'd probably go somewhere else for that. read more

I usually love topline but we had a group of 11 of us come in for mani and pedis and they rushed through it so fast. Most of the girls had something wrong with their fingernail and my cuticles are completely raw and have been peeling off enough to make them bleed. I would not recommend this place at all. We came here to get nails done for my best friends wedding. I got the shellac French manicure. The lady complained the whole time that my nails are so short.. even though they are not short at all. Then proceeds to trim them down more. When she got done she saw me looking at them like wtf. Asked what's wrong, so I pointed out the many things and she "fixed" them. This picture is after she "fixed" them. Oh and on top of it, it all peeled off within 2 days. Great pedi, great service, great time! I'm in town from California so my friend and I dropped in today (Wednesday) at 2:00 in the afternoon. The gentleman was friendly and accepted us without hesitation, along with another woman who happened to walk in right behind us for a pedi too. I appreciated the attention and pride the woman who helped us took with our pedis. The woman who did mine was thorough by smoothing out the tops of my nails to give the nail a better finish. She was confident in her skills to take on an ingrown problem nail every other manicurist ignored! That is why I HAD to review this place. This is a gem in Bloomington /Normal! Was visiting my sister and needed a pedi and she took me to Topline. Friendly staff; quick service. I have to say, the foot scrub was better than at my Seattle salon that I've been going to for two years. They allow use of the "blade" in dead skin removal here which I don't think Seattle code allows; feet were smoother for longer. read more

I live in the Bloomington/Normal area and have been going to Topline Nails once a month for about two years for pedi's occasionally for a mani. I absolutely love it there. The family that owns it is wonderful and friendly. I have had just about every person that works there and they all do great work. I only had one bad experience in the two years, and that person no longer works there. My favorite ladies to have are Tao and Lisa. But anyone you get are great. They actually talk to you and get to know you as you spend more time there. I would definitely recommend it! read more

Excellent services and it's a comfortable, clean environment. I hadn't ever had a pedicure before, but my wife and daughter convinced me to go last year. I did, and I was so pleased that I'm going back fairly regularly. The leg massage and foot scrub feel great! The girls who do the work are awesome! I highly recommend it to all the guys out there. This is usually my go to place for pedicures. I like the leg massages. But I will say that there's been a couple times that a nail was cut a little short and hurt the next day. Usually it doesn't happen but it has. The polish job is always good and lasts a long time. Some of the employees are not as friendly as others but that could be the language barrier. read more

Went here with my maid of honor to get a relaxing manicure/take care of our nails after playing around at the City Museum in St. Louis. We were able to be seated next to each other for our manicures. That was the positive. I'm almost afraid to see what my nails look like underneath the manicure, since my woman sawed back and forth when shaping them. The shape is also highly inconsistent - my fingernails were all squoval to begin with, and they alternate between squoval and stranglely shaped after she finished with them. My friend's worker attempted multiple times to upsell her to shellac, which is a much more expensive service. My worker just slapped the lotion on my arm and hands, then set to work on my nails. I have painted my nails with the polish used before, and I did a much better job. There are bald areas on multiple nails, where there was a lot of cuticle drag. There is also a ton of nail polish pooled in my cuticle area and on the skin surrounding my nails. The nails are horribly brush strokey, and the finish ended up bubbly. It has been less than 48 hours since my nails were painted, and I have done nothing strenuous with my nails in that time, and the majority of my nails are already chipped. As a side note, my nails stayed chipless for 5 days the last time I painted them with the same color she used. Yes, the service was cheap and relatively quick, but completely not worth it. My nails looked unprofessional as soon as they were done, and it's only gotten worse as it chips quickly. read more
