After having to go to a different salon with a friend, I was reminded why Galaxy is the only salon I will go to. Their pedicures are an incredible treat! They never make you feel rushed, take the time to give you the pedicure you deserve and are so kind. A Galaxy pedicure is one of my favorite ways to treat myself! read more

I called today around 11am to make an appointment and they were able to get me in on the same day! Ruby did my nails and she was very kind and patient while she helped me find colors that matched my inspo picture. I'm not from the IL area so when trying to find a new nail home I was a little nervous, but was pleasantly surprised by finding it so quickly! read more

I wanted to get a pedicure and manicure. The pedicure I was able to get right away but the manicure I had to wait 3 hours for. The vibe of the store and their employees was not very welcoming. And after reciving my service the polish chipped off almost immediately. read more

Went in to get a no chip manicure. Took 45 minutes for nail tech to get previous no chip polish off my nails and didn't even get all the polish off. Nails were rough and not flat, paint job was terrible. Missed the sides of my nails. Polish chipped the same day on some of the nails and I have been growing my nails out and three nails have already broken because they are so fragile from the way the previous no chip polish was taken off. It has only been 6 days since I got them done. read more

I am recommending and highly satisfied with Galaxy Nails! I had requested a fill in and they were very pleased to accommodate me in my timing and as a licensed professional timing means a lot to me and I value they took my time with consideration. I arrived and was greeted and checked in with ease. The atmosphere is very appealing with an upper class experience. They are very clean, thorough and hospitable as they offered me a complimentary beverage. The timing of the service was not rushed but very pleasantly and throughly delivered with precision and skill. Thank you Galaxy Nail I will be referring your services and be back for the next fill and pedicure! read more

I stopped here a week ago looking for a new nail technician and a color change since the gel polish was CHIPPING after 3 days. Anyhow, I was in and out in 25min. Very impressed. The place is very beautiful and relaxing. The staff is extremely professional, kind and courteous. So impressed! I had to come back. I got the full service. Yes I splurged!! Great pedicure, leg and foot massage. Love my nails and design. I'm very pleased. I wish I could give this place 10 star rating!! I already made my next appointment. read more

Love how easy it is to get an appointment. My nails always look amazing! The pedicures are so good too.

Finally found a place to get my nails done! After moving here three years ago, tried almost every nail salon in town. Between the salon having the television on with (bad news) the news. Making an appointment and the technician constantly being late and skipping steps. Cold water for my pedicure that they had to boil water to make it hot. Or making an appointment and the owner not showing up. And than calls me two hours later to say she had to go to the hospital and that I can come over now? Really? Galaxy Nails is absolutely beautiful, staff is friendly. Rachel my nail technician did a great job. Can't wait to go back. read more

DISAPPOINTED. Charging to take a bit of dip nail polish OFF really?! I only have one left on a nail and two others just need a quick buff. For what is paid for a gel they should accommodate a few minutes to take it off. Very disappointed. read more

Galaxy Nails is the best nail salon in town by far. The staff are so kind and often greet you by name if you're a returning customer! I even got a Christmas gift from them when I got nails done around the holidays! They are always helping in describing their services and I will continue going here for a while! read more

Although they were quick with their service, I paid $67 for a full set of basic acrylic with gel polish (that was with a tip) and the nails from the side view lifted upward and two of them popped off after 1 week of having them. I do not recommend their salon for the price and lack of quality nails you get. read more

Tried to find a place to get in a pedicure mid-day with no appointment, and they were extremely accommodating and squeezed us in! We did the hot stone pedicure and it was great, especially for the price! My technician was very skilled and kind. The atmosphere was so calm, and I will definitely be coming back. read more

Place is beautiful inside and clean. But I have to wear a mask because the smell of acetone is pretty strong. Appointments are required as they don't take walk-ins. Overall I think it's ok. I can't help feel that I'm always rushed and leave with powder or remnants of nails on me from the drilling. read more

Made an appointment and talked to the owner over Yelp before coming in. I'm glad I did! The shop is beautiful and everyone is very nice. I've tried 2 other salons in BloNo since moving here and this is by far the best. I'll be back again. My ombré nails are gorgeous, exactly what I asked for and my pedicure was great. They have so many scents to pick from and the hot stone was a great addition. Everything continues to be great. I love this nail salon. read more

I don't live in the area but I wish I lived close enough to come back here every time to get my nails done. Khanh was super nice and set me up with an appointment through messages on yelp. I hate phone calls so this is great. When I arrived she recognized me from my picture and greeted me warmly. She called me by my name and really seemed to care about her customers. The lady that worked on my nails (sorry didnt her her name) was super sweet and made my nails exactly what I wanted. The last place I went did not get the shape right and they were falling off so bad. 100% recommend Galaxy Nails. The staff is friendly and the place is beautiful. One note to keep in mind though, tip must be cash! I did have to run to get cash from Walgreens near by but it was worth it. Thank you ladies. If I'm in the area or passing through again I know where I'll be stopping for nails. read more

It's no surprise this place has 5 stars. I switched to Galaxy last year and I am so happy I did. I am always confident I'll leave satisfied with my nails. Super easy to make an appointment through yelp, Khanh was up super early to reply when I messaged on a late Friday night, and they were able to get me in on a Saturday afternoon. Great polish selection mostly OPI (the best brand in my opinion!) and I love that they're organized so that the regular and gel are together so you can see an accurate depiction of what gel color you are getting without having to open the polish (not many salons offer this!). I was offered drinks upon arrival seated right as my appointment should have been. My nail tech was very considerate and I thought the heated gloves during the cuticle trimming process was super cool, something I've never experienced before! The gel manicure itself was very quick and my tech was super efficient, the whole process took a precise 30 mins, just in time for her next client. I appreciate that they are so organized in this regard and also that the salon was very clean! After my manicure they even remembered my name and asked me how my experience was. This is how to treat customers right! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Galaxy nails and am definitely coming back again next time I am in town. The prices are super competitive compared to Chicago, but the treatment you get and quality of nail polish and selection are way above average when compared to my home salons in Chicago! read more

The place is beautiful and very well organized but very non personable. My nail tech was very rough and fast, one of my dip nails cracked only 1 hour after getting them done. They definitely mean business which is fine if your okay with that. I just prefer to relax when getting my nails done not be manhandled. read more

I got a gift card for my birthday pre-COVID and finally felt comfortable enough to use it. I booked using Yelp and Khanh was amazing! Quick to respond and helped find a time to make an appointment that fit in my schedule. When I arrived for my appointment, it was apparent before even walking through the door that they were taking safety very seriously. Masks are required before being allowed to enter. Once I walked in, Kevin greeted me cheerfully and took my temperature. He then asked me to go to the handwashing station and wash my hands. The entire atmosphere is positive, calming, and CLEAN! Technicians are masked, gloved, and there is a clear plexiglass between them and you for manicures. Especially in COVID times, it's amazing to see a business take the health of their clients so seriously. Kevin did an amazing job on my manicure, helping me match the picture I brought in and even making recommendations as to better colors and showing me options. He checked in regularly to make sure I was pleased with the shape of my nails, the color, etc. Using my gift card was very easy and I was AMAZED at how affordable it was. Throughout my appointment, Kevin and the other staff members chatted and greeted regulars by name as they walked through the door. You could feel the sense of community that they have worked hard to create and it was wonderful. I have found my new nail salon and will definitely be back! Highly recommend! read more

Best pedicure I've ever had. I was able to schedule my appointment easily through the Yelp app. The place requires masks and that you wash your hands once you enter. We also socially distanced in the pedicure chairs. I was very comfortable and appreciate the workers' attention to safety. The nail tech I had was friendly and very detailed. The prices are great, too. I don't live in the area, but would be back anytime I'm here for business again. read more

I'm beyond happy about my first visit to Galaxy Nails. Kevin did such an amazing job with my nails, from trimming, shaping, painting the colors, and just the care for my experience. It is the best nail service I had in town. I highly recommend Kevin to anyone who wants to feel like their nails are being worked on with care and attention. I will update it 2 weeks after on how my gel manicure holds. On the other hand, their atmosphere is good, and the staff and regulars have a good interactive relaxing environment. But the ODOR!! I can't stand it. The strong nail polish smell is all around the room and it bothered me. Wish they could do something about it. read more

Rated #1 in BloNo and I can see why, it's gorgeous. Didn't like their current mask mandate despite mandate being lifted. The reason I walked out is because they require you to be in their system in order to receive service. They ask for phone, email and DOB - none of which are necessary to do my nails and accept my payment. I went to the #2 rated salon instead, Rosemary Nails, and walked out with gorgeous gel nails. Super friendly and clean! read more

Owners Kevin & Khanh are truly professionals and always strive to have the best nail techs and the best service. Their salon is absolutely gorgeous and relaxing. They care about their customers, and most are regulars. I started with them about 5 years ago and I've never been disappointed or had the desire to go elsewhere. Really like the tech I have now. A bit of context; my wife and I took a trip up to Green Bay for our anniversary to see the Packers play, and on a whim got an appointment for pedicures at Lodge Koehler, a high-end spa. It was a wonderful experience, have no doubts. But I'm confident in saying that the spa that services the Packers, as high-end and swank as it was, honestly was outmatched by the pedicures we've gotten at Galaxy Nails. The techs here are friendly and warm, and do an immaculate job. They show the sort of care for your nails that you'd expect from a dental hygienist when they clean your teeth, but without the pain, and a nice massage. tldr; Galaxy Nails consistently offers resort-level services at budget prices. Bloomington is lucky to have them. read more

I was really excited to try this place, but it didn't live up to my expectations unfortunately. The nail tech that I had was very nice and friendly and the salon is beautiful inside! Aside from that, my acrylics were all different shapes and sizes and some were crooked. I had to go home and file a few of them to fix it. I also didn't get the usual preparation of cleaning up the nail and the cuticles. He just went right ahead and stuck the acrylics on. My nails look good from afar, but close up they are a little wonky, I just feel like it wasn't worth the price. read more

If you live in the Bloomington-Normal area and are looking for a place to get your nails done, look no further! I have been getting acrylics for 15 years and this place is by far the best nail salon I have ever been to. I have struggled finding a good place here in town for the past couple years and I am so glad I tried this place. Their service and professionalism is top notch, and it shows from the time you walk in the door to the time you exit. It is easy to see that Khanh and her employees genuinely care about your happiness and experience as their customer. You will not regret giving this place a try - I promise! Things to note: I have had acrylics done by at least 3 people here, and all of them have done an excellent job. They have matching gel polish for every regular polish. And they also have a TON of choices. The salon is clean! (Something my previous salon was not the greatest at, so I especially appreciate this) read more

Khanh did my full set of gel color today and she did an amazing job! This is the 2nd time I've been to galaxy nails, and I was impressed again. When you arrive, it is very COVID guideline friendly and I felt safe the entire time. She was very helpful in picking out a base mail color. I wanted a Snow White, but she informed me about how it could get stained, so she found this beautiful shimmery white glitter and I'm in love with it. I also had a classic pedicure, and I'm not sure the name of the lady who did it, but she did a great job as well. I highly recommend Galaxy Nails and will be going there again! read more

Great pedicure & dipped manicure. I really like the pink/white French manicure. All ready for a vacation. Tin did a nice job.

I was referred to Galaxy Nails by 3 friends of mine! One owns a hair salon so I know she's super picky about pedicures! I was not disappointed at all - very clean - extremely professional - and the phone was ringing constantly (this is good) ...... What I really liked is they work by appointment only - there were several walk ins when I was there and they turned them down. I would too! Highly recommend this nail salon - they are fabulous read more
