One of the more stressful nail appointments I've had. The technician didn't listen, was no help with color and kept telling me the only options were the one set she put in front of me and I tried to show her the color I wanted and ask for more options. Didn't understand the design I asked for so ended up not getting what I wanted and paid too much for it. I wish I had just left instead and tried somewhere else. Please see the attached photo the photos on the left was what I got the photos on the right was what I asked for. When she finished one hand I immediately told her I did not like it. But she insisted that she could do it. On top of that she spilled nail glue all over my hand and I had to request her to remove it. It was a terrible experience and clearly she was outside of her skill set. I felt like I went to the cosmetology school and it was her first full set. Will not be going back. read more

Looking for a regular place to get my nails done. Walk in for my appointment asked if I needed to wear a mask. They said no, but they did have them on. My friend & I wanted some mani pedi's for a girls day. I googled highest rating nail places in blono. They were in the mix. I'm so glad i came here. The pedicure was so refreshing and super cost friendly without giving up the luxury feeling :) Kim did my nails. Such a sweet woman! I brought it a photo reference and she exceeded my expectations. I got my nails done here and it was terrible. Les than 24 hours after I got them. My acrylics were lifting off my nail. I called back and told them what was happening and when I went in he told me that it was normal and just put glue under my nails. They shape was also wrong as well. I went to a different salon and showed the person my nails and she told me that they shouldn't be doing that after a day and that i was scammed. read more

The environment is relaxing, the staff members are genuinely friendly and free beverages are available for clients. I was in dire need of nail TLC. My no chip mani did not last the full two weeks and circumstances forced my hand to find a nearby option. My natural inclination was to wait for my regular salon, but I was tired of hiding my hands. After a quick Yelp search, I called to confirm their hours and was offered a same day appointment. When I arrived my tech, (Tim) greeted me and began immediately. Despite spending more than ten minutes deciding on a polish color, service was only an hour and was competitively priced at $30. Walk ins are welcomed but appointments are preferred. read more

I had to stop going here because instead of buffing my nails with a file they INSIST to keep using a metal drill. I have extremely thin nails and ive bled many times before after using the death machine. My nail tech also had no clue how to shape nails correctly and was extremely rough while shaping. read more

Had an appointment for 12:15, didn't get taken until 1:20. Very understaffed. I asked for a full set with ombré. It was going very well until the end. Worst ombré I've ever got. I've been coming here for years and have always been extremely pleased. They really do excellent work in a quick amount of time. They are attentive to detail and will work to achieve whatever nail idea you have. My gel manicures usually last 2+ weeks and dip manicures are easily 3+ weeks. Everyone is very kind and the salon and equipment are very clean. I never make appointments (walk-ins welcome) and they always work hard to get me taken care of as soon as possible. Highly recommended . I was born with the ugliest feet in the world and making them look pretty is not easy task. I looked up a couple of places and narrowed down on this one based on the reviews. The place that I go to was booked, so I tried something new. I will NEVER go back. I can't even enjoy my manicure because my thumb is cut so bad. I know that getting cut happens sometimes, but I have never been cut like this. It was clear that she was rushing when she took out a chunk of my skin where the nail bed meets the cuticle. I really have to be careful that my finger does not become infected. There was no one waiting so the rushing was unacceptable. On top of my poor finger, she did not paint my nail up to the cuticle or use any lotion (it is February so I think that's essential!!!) I am so upset and in pain that I want to go back to ask for a refund, but I'm writing this warning instead. I will say this salon is clean and uses new tools on each customer. To be fair, this review is based on five visits in the past year. The first time I got a no-chip mani it was perfect and I had no problems. I also had a pedicure a few months ago which was great. My last three visits were for manicures. My classic manicure chipped the following day. Most recently I paid $30 for a no-chip mani which peeled and chipped within days. When I went back to see if they could fix it, they convinced me that it wouldn't happen again so to try again for another $30. Sure enough in less than a week they are chipped and peeling. I have been to several nail salons in Bloomington Normal, looking for one that had great prices as well as great nails. I went to Nails and Spa for the first time last Saturday, October 3rd. I called ahead because I was going with someone else, but they accept walk-ins as well. Tiffany was my nail technician and she was WONDERFUL. I had some ideas about what I wanted (Pinterest designs), but she told me she could do something better if I trusted her. She was 100% correct. I got the gel ($30) and my nails look fantastic.
