The owner picks out every item in the store and she only carries brands that she personally believes in. Everyone that works there is very personable and helpful! If you follow them on social media you will see that they have seasonal sales. This is great because it is impossible to get Darn Tough socks on sale (unless you shop at Nomads)! In the coupon booklet from customer service, it advertised 10% off of $75 "before discounts". What was confusing was the price they should be using to calculate the $75. I had a top marked $54.99 and a pair of pants marked $49.95 which would've been over $75 before the discount. The employee at the register was unhappy (prior to my arrival to the counter) that the regional manager had not yet made a determination on how to calculate what the basis is to apply the 10%. When salesperson rung in my two items after the discount, they did not exceed the $75 so she concluded that the 10% did not apply but kept looking at the other sales person for confirmation ...who shrugged his shoulders. They all seemed frustrated by how this promotional offer worked. For me, it wasn't worth the wait and the frustration to save $7, so I still purchased my two items but that left a sour taste for me and their lack of customer service.

So with four bicycles of different types in my garage needing supplies, I searched for something more on the small shop category and came up with Omer and Bob's. I was quite happy I made that decision. What is amazing is that being a 100-ski day yearly skier, Omer and Bob's had never been in my radar as a ski shop and yet, they started as a ski shop during the early days of Mick Jagger - (actually the shop opened in the same year as the Rolling Stone's first album). From its beginnings, it is now a full-activity sports shop, offering Nordic and Alpine ski, bicycling, sports shoe wear and running apparel. Despite its relatively modest footprint, it is well supplied with quality equipment. They carry all types or bicycle gear, electric bikes, racers, commuters, leisure, recumbent, you name it. And at reasonable prices that make this a great value. The staff is friendly and businesslike. I came in for replacement tubes for my four bicycles and they had everything I needed. And then I spent some time impulse-buying and looking over their selections. I will be definitely be coming over here again. On a side note, their main entrance is on the same block as the center of Lebanon, where the city has made the most superb decision to close down lanes of traffic to allow all fresco seating for several restaurants and improve the town's vibe. You can shop and then enjoy the downtown area.
