A cool place for family and adult fun. Imagine if you could import the fun of a bowling alley onto a driving range by adding simple scoring games like you might find in miniature golf...then you would have top golf. My son and I visited here recently while on a weekend trip to Phoenix. We played for an hour while enjoying something to eat. We had a great time! Here are a few things to know if you want to check this place out... Make a reservation in advance on their website. We tried to get a walk up reservation but they told us they were already fully booked and were not accepting any more reservations that day. One of the staff suggested I check their website for the next available time slot. I asked if they could help me do that in the store but they said no you have to do it on your own. I was able to login on my phone and was surprised to find that there were still reservations available for later in the evening on that same day. Apparently they get busy so try to reserve early. As far as our experience when we arrived everything was pretty easy. I would warn you that this is not the least expensive form of family entertainment. For one hour of gameplay it cost us $50. Not including the cost of the food which was not super expensive but it definitely wasn't cheap. I think after everything was said and done I ended up spending $95 on both our food and our one hour gameplay. Nonetheless it was a fantastic experience and well worth our time and money. Although I probably couldn't afford to do it every weekend especially if I brought my whole family of four. It is worth mentioning that the food that we had was good. My son had a hamburger with fries and a Coke and I enjoyed some nachos and a mango iced tea. While I myself I'm not into drinking alcohol they do have alcoholic beverages available as well as non-alcoholic beverages for teetotalers like me. If I could give zero stars I would! First the building is weird placed, like the entrance. It's also confusing when checking in and if we need to go back down or just wait for ur bay to be ready and walk right to it. Also I checked on their website and it said 15/30 mins and a couple mins later it said 120 mins! When I got there they said it's a 2-2 1/2 hrs wait and they texted us an hour early. My family had a great night checking out AZ's Top Golf. It was my first visit and I'd definitely join the kids and dads here again. I'm not much of a golfer, but it was still fun to be on the sidelines. My son loves hanging out with his friends at their California locations. I noticed golfers of all playing abilities enjoying Top Golf. You can definitely tell who are the more experienced avid golfers from the beginners, everyone was definitely having fun. What a great activity with friends and family. If I'm not mistaken my son and his dad are members, but I'm not familiar with how that all works. My son set up their first round and he chose an Angry Birds theme on the monitor. Monitors and score beeping seems interactive and fun to see our group get competitive. Our server was excellent. I wish I could remember his name, but our reservation seated us all the way at the end, on the left side of the building, on the second floor, I believe. He was attentive and helpful. Our group needed lefty clubs and we received them right away. If it helps, he was young and African American, energetic and very attentive. Their staff was awesome overall, from the entrance, shop, to the bar and table staff. Great cocktail and beer selections, fountain sodas (check out their menu with some fun flavor mixes). I was especially surprised how delicious all the food was that we tried. We tried their appetizer selections to keep it shareable and tapas style: fried mac and cheese, nachos, pretzel bites. Even after a late lunch earlier, I didn't think I'd be hungry to eat much here, but once I tried a few bites, couldn't resist and our group devoured every bite.. Everything was flavorful and seemed decent portions to share in our group of 5; delicious and cheesy with the right crispy texture (fried Mac and cheese) and the pretzel bites were a fluffy bread center and the perfect bite size (great queso cheese dip foo). We came here on a Sunday afternoon and it was busy. Without a reservation it took us about 5 minutes to get a bay. The service was prompt, attentive and friendly. You can pay by the hour and hit as many times as you want. If you aren't ready to finish you can extend your time. The cost is $5 for a membership and then the cost to rent a bay is a flat rate no matter the number of people. If you order food you eat while your time is ticking so keep that in mind. Planned a corporate event at Topgolf and had the best experience. From the planning to the service day of, everyone was so helpful and thorough. We reserved a few bays and they put us on the top floor in the end, so there was plenty of room for socializing and gathering around the buffet. It felt very private. The only feedback I have is on the cleanliness of the bays- the seating needed to be cleaned off, but everything else was well prepared. Our server, Barrett, was awesome! He was ready to get beverages for all the guests as they arrived; super attentive and always available. Everyone enjoyed the breakfast buffet and deserts. We went with friends on Sunday, we had never been there before. It was fun but so disappointed that about 1/3 of our balls never registered. We even let the attendant know and showed him the replay. He tried some adjustments but the problem continued. I know its not a big deal but my husband and I can be quite competitive. We did order food as it seems most guests do. Chicken strips came with 3, yes only 3 small strips, way over done and fries were a little on the cool/cold side. We didn't want to pay $25 to reserve a bay (that money doesn't go towards food or play) so we took our chance and showed up at 6pm on a Saturday night. We were told 45-60 minutes and within 5 minutes we were called and sat. Service was great and dinner was fabulous which was unexpected for a casual game place like this. The menu is large and our table enjoyed a few rounds of drinks, crispy chicken sandwich, flat bread pizza, nachos, tots and wings. All were really tasty and the portions are decent. The cost to play is $45/hr but split between 3 couples wasn't too bad. We're already planning to return in October for my hubby's birthday. read more

We were visiting from San Diego and decided to go to Topgolf for my birthday. We have never been and were so excited to experience it. We were there for probably an hour when a young male manager with gauges came over to our table and told us that my pregnant sister in law could not have her own personal Stanley water bottle. This seemed a little outrageous as it's 115 degrees outside. We asked questions and explained that she was pregnant and were already spending over $300 on other food and drinks. We said we would happily show him that it's just water. He immediately threw his hands up and said it felt like we were "attacking him so he was going to walk away, and come right back to try this again". I was SHOCKED. We are very reasonable and understanding people. As a manager, he handled this situation extremely poor. After he made his dramatic scene, my mother in law asked if there was another manager to talk to, as he was obviously not fit to handle a simple situation where he could calmly answer our questions and explain their "policy" further. He asserted that HE was the manager and no one else was around to take this situation over. We gave into HIS aggressiveness and let them take her personal water bottle away because it felt like he was going to kick us out because of it. Needless to say, the whole experience was completely ruined for everyone in our group. Our server was great and I feel like we would have had a super enjoyable experience if it wasn't for this manager. After this event, I spoke with other people who have been to this location and they also mentioned that they have had very poor interactions with this specific manager. I live in the west valley, so, thankful to have a Top Golf nearby. I am always looking for a place to refine the swing so it's the best driving range of all- partly due to the full service bar. Although I do read a lot of issues around service quality, we did visit on a Thursday afternoon and had no issue at all. We always have excellent and diligent service, despite the crowd we bring, we've never had an issue. If you want an experience that feels like an upscale bowling alley style driving range, this is the place. It has decent food and a lot of options for drinks, the wings are solid. As a golfer I really enjoy coming here, I've even come with family members that don't golf and they just relax, eat and drink while everyone who does golf takes turns hitting. It's almost always very busy so I understand how the servers can be a bit slow (it's also a very big place). Has a ton of parking and has several levels of tee boxes so you can be top or bottom floor. I go for half-off tuesdays right after work and it's a great deal. read more
