Indoor golfing + alcohol = perfect combination. I've been to other top golf locations in Texas and was glad to see that Louisiana was finally getting one. The food was pretty decent for bar food and the service was prompt for a party of 10. We had a bit of a reservation issue in the beginning, that's why I gave it a 4 stars. They're still in the first few months of opening, so I'm sure they'll work everything out. All in all, our group had a great time. read more

First experience at Topgolf was pretty good, the only complaint I had was that the bartenders on the third floor were exceptionally slow paced on a Monday night and each drink ordered took about 10-15 minutes to be made/received. I came here from out of town for a happy family reunion. After an hour and fifteen minutes had passed after ordering, a happy family reunion quickly turned into a hangry one. Our server, Tony, was nice; but lacked communication. We had to retrieve him when we were ready to order, as well as ask him repeatedly what the status of our food was. Finally, I went to speak to a manager. After informing him of our situation, he comped all of our food, saying that he "didn't know what happened," and that "they dropped the ball." Our food was delivered within 10 minutes of our interaction. I appreciated the manager's accountability and comping our meals (the only reason why I didn't leave 1 star), but that doesn't take away from the fact that this all resulted in a very poor experience. Long story short, if you feel like your food is taking too long - GO STRAIGHT TO A MANAGER!! I hope others have a better experience than we did, and hopefully this is a learning experience for the staff. read more

I was super excited that Top Golf was coming to Baton Rouge.... I anticipated the opening and couldn't wait to try it . My first time going on a Saturday, it was packed ( it's always packed). After speaking to the young lady at the desk, she let us know it would be a 5 hour wait ( it's was noon) ... we decided not to get on the list and try another day..... so we went back on Sunday 1pm and we were informed that it would be a 7 hour wait!! We opted to get on the list , hoping it wouldn't be that long. We left, went to grab lunch, went to the house, I cleaned up, watched 6 episodes on Netflix and finally got a text around 8:30pm saying our bay would be ready soon. I didn't want to go back.... but the hubby and kids did. So we went and were brought to our bay within 10 minutes of arriving . Our waitress was sweet and showed us how everything worked. We ordered food, which was ok.... they have a nice selection. We played a competitive game , where we aimed the balls to get points in the holes that are on the field . It was fun ... the hubby and I enjoyed it, the kids not so much. We played for 2 hours which was more than enough time for us. The bill was about $150.00 with food , play and the membership fees and I think there was a special on that night too for the super bowl. Overall it was fun... When at Top Golf their gas was out so none of their normal food was available, but could still order simple appetizers so placed an order for queso. After 40 minutes of playing the game and no food, I asked where it was and they had not even put in the order for it. For one of the only things they could serve it was unacceptable for them to take an hour to serve us just queso. I would love to give 5 stars as this is my 2nd visit but unfortunately 3 is the best I can do. The server was sweet but seemed a bit overwhelmed not only with our party of 6 but other large parties passing time on the patio while we waited to golf. We were here to celebrate a party with a friend but we have spent majority of the time correcting the errors of our waiter. We ordered a wing trio and after 2 failed attempts finally received the order thanks to Rachel the Manager on the floor. Some stuff requested never arrived. The manager offered to comp the wings and fries which still was an issue for our server to process. Our server was sweet but working under pressure is definitely not his strong point. Thanks to Rachel for staying sweet and working out the kinks! The manager has went beyond the call of duty to make sure we were fine which definitely helped to keep tempers down. We will definitely return but make sure our waiter is ready to work under pressure. Now on to the food. The wings were good especially the Asian Sesame. The burger was a cooked well instead of the pink center requested which led to a dry burger but the bacon on the burger was yummy. The Citrus Pomegranate Margarita will have you dancing in your seat. Still waiting for our card to return after 15+ minutes but at least we are together having fun. read more

This is a great concept and I really enjoyed swinging the clubs. Just to be totally transparent I am not a golfer never played. However the service here for food and beverage was absolutely horrible. My party of five waited 35 minutes for our drinks to come to our table one of which was a water. We arrived early for our bay reservation to have some drinks. After 35 minutes, and several inquires to the wait staff, we complained to the supervisor or floor manager. He actually attempted to make our drinks, however not being a bar tender they were not correct. He never offered to comp our drinks even though he confirmed that our order was initially taken over 35 minutes prior. We were not impressed with the service in the Bay area either. If you are going to just swing at some golf balls, a trip to a driving range would provide better practice and the beer carts better service. read more

Topgolf is a great place to go spend an evening, have a company team building exercise, host small gathering/event etc. The food and drinks are a little pricey but always fantastic. You could say the same about their drinks. However on busy evenings do expect a large delay between drink orders. Last I went we ordered drinks when our previously ordered drinks arrived, and by the time you had finished your drink, you had to dry mouth it for a little while until your next one came out. For one of the busiest places in Baton Rouge though, I can't really hold that against them. Overall, still a great experience and I would highly recommend for anyone to go experience it firsthand. read more

So here's the deal....I was really pumped about this place but you need to know a few things before you go. When you get here they give you a wait time. It's is not accurate. We got here at 6 pm and it's 10 pm and we are still waiting. We were given a 2 hr wait. People in the golf bays can continue to extend their time which means your wait time is never accurate. Just something you need to know before you come. This wasn't explained to us. They also don't communicate with you if your time changes. We had a great waitress who was really knowledgeable and friendly. It was her 2nd day on the job and you would have never known. Love that it is a new option for teens to hangout ..... but after 9 pm they are supposed to be with an adult. Lots of teens running around doing teen things. As for the game itself I can't tell you if it's worth the wait....why....because we are still waiting. You'd think with as many locations as they have they would have a more accurate system. We talked to several people who work here who mentioned there is often a 6-7 hour wait. People come here, check in, go home, and come back. Super inconvenient. We went on a Sunday night around 6:45pm. I didn't think it would be really busy but it was because the place is new. the atmosphere was really cool and every employee I can into contact with was super nice. We decided to sit in the bar area and order food/drinks to wait for the rest of our party. After 20 mins of no service I went to the bar to ask the bartenders were we suppose to go to the bar for what we wanted. She told us hat they were severely understaffed that day because they didn't think that Sunday would be busy sooo she said she'd go grab someone to help us. 10 mins later my friend flagged down a manager to tell them what was going on and he said that he'd take care of us since we had been waiting for service for 30 mins. So the food was good, to compare I would say WAYYY better than Movie Tavern maybe Buffalo Wild Wings Status. the portion size was also pretty good it wasn't enough food to take home but enough to be satisfied while playing and not be over stuffed. read more

I feel like company events should have a limit on the amount of lanes they reserve. 1st time We were told 45 min wait on a Wednesday afternoon. We could easily see that there were numerous bays open. Here were 5 girls at the front who were totally distracted by conversation amongst themselves and also staring at their screens. We were not greeted when we walked up and had to ask to be helped. And then again had to get someone s attention to purchase a glove. Due to the 45 min wait we went to the bar to have a cocktail to pass the time. Once again 3 women preoccupied in inappropriate conversation to where we had to say excuse me to get service. We ordered 2 golf bag size pinapple punches. We asked for them to be strong or have an extra shot...she rudly told us no but could sell us 2 shots on the side. She jam packed the golf bag with ice and filled our drinks to the top without leaving room for the extra booze and stuffed a huge garnish in the drink as well displacing a large portion of volume. the limes and pinapple were not fresh and at least a few days old. We watched the woman stuff dollar bills in her bra 4 different time. Thinking to ourselves we hope that doesn't end up as our change. So in the end our 2 drinks with 2extra shots of Malibu came to $48. Dissapointing when they are gone in 5 sips due to all the ice and garnish displacing the volume. In the meantime our bay was ready in 5 minutes not 45 like we were told. So our whole drink experience wasn't even nessisary to kill time. One we were at the bay we ordered nachos..10 chips, we were thinking this would be a sharable thing for a $13 price. It was plopped on our table without notice and with no utensils to eat it with. 4 people 2 chips each. After an hour and a half with 4 people we left spending $30 on gloves $50 at the bar and $95 at the bay. Kinda pricey experience. I enjoyed the game play but the novice golfers really didn't get into it the same. I suggest maybe a handicap system where novice golfers get more points. read more

I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and, aside from the golfing itself, everything else was frustrating and less than enjoyable. First, we put our name in for the text alert system notifying us when a bay was ready. We never got a confirmation and were standing in the lobby for 48 minutes before someone asked our name and if we received the confirmation text. When we said no, the hostess checked the computer and came back asking if we were "sure" we didn't receive a notification (oookay, you got us, we did but decided standing awkwardly to the side in your lobby seemed more fun than golfing). They said our bay was ready so, off we go! After arriving to the platform, we start to input our information and notice that there is an ASL interpreted video for deaf and hard of hearing customers. As I work in deaf education, my girlfriend and I thought it would be interesting to watch! We press play and begin to enjoy the video. Not 30 seconds in and a worker comes over and, without asking, says "oh you guys don't need that" and closes the video (oh, right, because we didn't "look" deaf... I guess Top Golf requires their DHH customers to wear name tags or some other easily identifiable regalia stating one's lack of hearing ability, deaf friends be warned! Oh, and Baton Rouge is the location of Louisiana's school for the deaf... I guess none of these children, their families, or the staff that work there leave the campus, or so was the message from that particular Top Golf staff member). Both my girlfriend and I were taken aback! We exclaimed, "um, we were watching that", to which, without resetting the video, he simply said "my bad" and continued punching in info into the key pad (not to mention that he stood not more than a foot from us and would lean in closer each time he spoke... so much for social distancing). Finally, we start to golf, all frustration is behind us... or so we thought. After about 45 minutes into our hour, a group larger than six people (i.e., the max per bay during COVID-19) arrived and the staff allowed them in regardless of the clearly marked signs saying "maximum of 6 people per bay". The hostess then informs them that rather than splitting up the group, THEY (not the Top Golf staff) could ask my girlfriend and I if some of the people could share our bay (at least the Top Golf staff found loop holes to jump through during these chaotic times! Never mind safety, let's shoot for profit!). We chose to celebrate her birthday at Top Golf because after reading the website's information about social distancing, cleaning procedures, and the simple fact that it looked like a fun way to spend the afternoon, we thought we couldn't go wrong... but we did (aside from our immediate server, she was pleasant). In short, we were both extremely displeased with our experience and absolutely do not recommend this facility to anyone. read more

Too Golf was fantastic but it's crazy crowded. Our wait was going to be three hours but out of annoyance came paradise. Right down the road on Airline Hwy is Southern Craft Brewery. We went there and had craft beer while waiting. There beer is awesome and made the wait time fly. a group including me and 25 of my friends drove from out of town to go to Top Golf in Baton Rouge. When we got there we were told the wait was 4 hours which we were okay with and we understood the long wait. To pass the time we went and did other things for a couple hours and then returned to Top Golf 3 hours later after getting a message saying they were ready for us in 45 minutes. When we got back there am employee then told us it was going to be another hour wait and we were a little annoyed but sat at the place and waited the extra or so. Then we went to ask again and another employee told us that it was going to be ANOTHER hour wait and then proceeded to tell us about their membership policy in which if you have a membership you get bumped up to the front of the line and get to play. They then told us we were number 36 on the waiting list and it is now 8:PM and we have been waiting since 3:00PM. The Top Golf employers failed to tell us about this policy until after we waited several hours to play golf. Our experience at Top Golf was very disappointing because we came from out of town to this event and were not satisfied and ended up NOT playing AT ALL. This was very poor service at this event and we were not happy about this. The membership policy should be made known the MINUTE a customer gets to this event to prevent the disappointment and the long, annoying wait in which we experienced. read more

Four of us went to TG on a Friday morning a few weeks after it opened. The hostesses at the front desk had no clue how to check us in using the app on my husband's phone (he had been previously and signed up) and just stared blankly at us. We were told there was an hour wait for a bay, so we went to the first floor bar to get drinks and food. We sat there 15-20 minutes while several of the wait staff looked directly at us, but none actually came to take our order. Finally, we relocated to the 3rd floor and that was truly the only bright spot of the experience. Niecy (sp?) was our waitress and she was efficient, pleasant and helpful. She brought our drinks and food, chatted with us and was very knowledgeable about TG. That said, after waiting well over 90 minutes for a bay and seeing many bays standing empty, we finished our food and drinks and left. The manager came over to "apologize," but it was more like "too bad" and lots of excuses about why we never got a bay instead of a true customer service "how can I improve and retain you as a customer" exchange. We left believing they give you an unrealistic wait time and deliberately don't fill bays so you will spend more on food and drinks. But, we probably wouldn't have had food and drinks, either, had we remained in the first floor bar. With so many good restaurant choices in BR, this place is going to have to up its game in service and efficiency to have many returning customers once the new wears off. At the very least, have Niecy train the rest of the staff on how to be attentive and responsive to customers. read more
