This place. My husband was so hesitant for us to even go, but the food was FANTASTIC. Everything was fresh and yummy. We got the appetizer sampler, and the biscuits on there......with the butter dipping sauce, delicious! We went with a friend and he ordered the club sandwich and it was very tasty. I got a Buffalo Chicken Salad (not pictured) and their buffalo sauce is AMAZING! I forgot to even take a picture! My hubby ordered the Blackened Chicken Sandwich, they messed up his order and added mayo when he asked for no mayo, and they took it back and fixed it. HOWEVER all the did was give him a new bun. There was still mayo on the bacon and on the chicken. Which really sucked because he's a sauce hater, he was able to eat the chicken because he wiped it off. He couldn't eat the bacon, so he gave it to me. The server was super nice about everything and apologized, but we saw the kitchen staff when she told them and they were a little unprofessional. You could tell it was a big deal, and they were very bothered to have to fix this. So we didn't love that, but overall it was a great experience! read more

I've gone there a few times recently for trivia and the whole place seems pretty cool. The space was large and comfortable with plenty of room for movement. I ordered the cheese fries and they were absolutely incredible! I will say, I've ordered the cheese fries 3 times now at this same venue and the first time the I'd say the proportion of fries ended up being "regular", the second time they were very skimpy and the third time the plate was practically bursting, so they do need to work on getting their portion sizes a bit more consistent. Service was a little slow the first time I went but the place was pretty busy each night and our server was hustling the entire time, so I don't think it was her fault. The trivia was a lot of fun. The trivia host was Alex from Geaux Preaux Media. I've been to a lot of their karaoke shows and they're among the best in Baton Rouge, for sure. I don't think I've ever been to trivia nights that they hosted but it was a good time. The crowd was friendly and welcoming and we all laughed a lot! I also noticed that the four pool tables were all busy for most of the night. The pool players chatted with all of us playing trivia and the vibe seemed very friendly all around. I will definitely be coming back to Tiger Paw for trivia, and I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that they decide to have karaoke as well I think that the space would be great for it and it's probably one of the nicest, cleanest, most comfortable bars in the area and it's very close to my house. read more

The means and the women's bathroom was hands down the best bar bathroom I have ever seen. I came here with a few of my buddies to find a new go to place. The food was amazing! I believe they got a new general manager and it was only him and the bartender in the front for lunch but they were actively interviewing while we were there. Only big bad part is we asked for the volume to the Saints game and he said the regulars don't like for the saints audio so that was a little confusing. Just went in for a party and ordered a margarita and an appetizer of fresh fried jalapeños. I received a really good margarita and a pile of fried pickled jalapeños. So I sent the dish back. They told me they couldn't comp the dish nor remove it off my bill. That I had to pay for the wrong dish. Very bad business practices. The more I think about it, they insulted my intelligence on both fronts. You sent the wrong dish, tried to force me to think the pickled jalapeños were fresh jalapeños and then forced me to pay for something I didn't eat. You'll never get my money again. read more

I like the atmosphere here. The appetizers were pretty good but the wait was ridiculous. It took 45+ mins to get our food. We were told afterwards that they only had 1 cook. The jalapeño cheese fries, Sweet chili wings, boudin balls and Smoked rib tips were my fav. The garlic Parmesan shrimp Didn't come with a sauce but I think adding a dipping sauce would really enhance that dish. If they get more help in the kitchen this place will be 10/10. read more

Fantastically dimly lit sportsy dive bar. Very welcoming to all. If Jonny Depps sister tended bar she would work here. They even appeared to have some arcade style gaming tables toward the back. Our first time in here. They had a DJ playing music obnoxiously loud I don't normally complain about loud but I couldn't hear myself think, honestly I was getting a little nauseous. Julie had red beans and rice and I had a big ole burger. Food is really really good. There is a bar and a bunch of people having fun. There's tables outside but a bunch of smoker out there so that's not an option for me. All that aside they have pool tables and arcade games great big TVs and that DJ. It would be nice to be greeted upon entering, but the bartenders are only focused on the person in front of them instead of multitasking and noticing the people coming into the bar second it shouldn't take 10 minutes to get a beer. The bartenders are unaware the manager was standing at the end of the bar drinking and there's some guy fill a cooler up who was completely useless and there's two bartenders, but we can't get a beer for 10 minutes. Ridiculous. Also the bartenders need to wait on women just as quickly and eagerly as they do men because we have our own money OK and we tip well if we're treated good. I've been in management for 35 years and could come into this bar and turn it around and show a 15 to 20% increase in profits over the course of 2 to 3 months. This place is a great place, but it is so mismanaged it is unreal. read more

Typical bar setting, the customer service is usually quick and I've always had a pleasant time speaking to the ladies behind the bar. Their daiquiris are well blended and they have a nice variety of flavors to choose from. This is a great place to stop after a long day at work or just a simple night out on the town. They have great prices for the quality of food, drink and service you receive. Highly recommend for game days if your looking for an older less rowdy crowd. I will mention however, if you're new to the area you may pass this place up a few times following a gps. I could just be terrible with directions, but felt it was worth a mention. This "establishment" deserves a negative zero. The disrespect that the employees and customers have towards Brown/Black people is highly offensive. I have tried to disregard a few negative racist experiences while dining in to enjoy the company of my friends. But I can no longer allow this kind of behavior. After being disconnected the first time when I was told by Hailey she was placing me on hold. I called back because I know accidents happen. Hailey hung up on me mid sentence the second time Rudely saying "I heard you!! Stupid Black people!" after asking me to repeat my name several times. Which I had no problem with because I know it's a bar and can be loud. I called back and spoke with another young lady whom I informed to please cancel my order. She then handed the phone to Bill the manager whom treated me with anger and disrespect. When I had no clue about the reason behind them attacking me. Hailey lied to her manger on the reason why she disconnected the call. I was shocked when he told me she said I called her a "B". Which I had no reason to do so when I simply called to place an order after working a long 12 hr shift. I am exhausted with no energy to argue with anyone. Hailey played victim to uphold her own racist remark and the manager was very accepting of her behavior once he was informed. The food was good, it just took an hour and a half to get it!!!! We watched 3 Waitr drivers come and go while we waited for our food!! Then after an hour the waitress tells us there is one cook!! And she said it will be another 10-15 minutes before our food is ready! Over 20 minutes later my wife and daughters food comes out! My wife noticed that the burger she order(1/4lb) looked like a small piece of breakfast sausage!! Then after complaining about her burger, my food came out!! This place need to retrain their staff and hire more people!! When you walk in to a restaurant, they should tell you at that moment they are short handed and let us decide to stay or leave!! I went there for my first time ever on a Wednesday night. I had never been there before and was about to order a shrimp po boy. The guy next to me overheard me asking the bartender what she recommended. Before she had a chance to say anything he said, "you really should have the medallion steak sandwich. First let me get this out the way. OMG! It was SO freakin' awesome ya'll. The bun was lightly toasted but light. The steak was super tender, juicy, and well seared. The vegetation was fresh. Last and certainly by any means not the least, the blue cheese crumbles set this sandwich off like a fireworks show of flavor in my mouth. The bartender was very social with me as I hope all would be. Later we did a shot of Patron. All in all, The Tiger Paw has a good thing going for a restuarant bar. The po-boy bread was soft and the shrimp were deveined (I cannot stand it when they don't bother to take the vein out) the batter on the shrimp was seasoned perfectly. This is the only place I've been to that asks you how you want your steak cooked on your delicious Steak Nachos. I ordered mine medium and it was on point. Delicious! They also had fried Portobello Mushroom strips which were AMAZING! Best idea ever! I don't know why more places don't do that. Honestly I would just go back for these. The batter is awesome and their house Ranch is really good too. The girls are friendly and they have several tasty Daiquiri flavors. My favorite flavor is the Arnold Pawmer but don't take my word for it, they'll let you try any flavor you want so you can find your own favorite. I typically enjoy a dinner from here and have tried a variety of dishes, my order from a few nights ago definitely warrants a bit of criticism. My order was the chicken fried chicken over mashed potatoes topped with gravy. My main complaint with the chicken was a lack of seasoning and flavor, it was very bland and might have been palatable with some salt. Second disappointment was the "mashed potatoes" with were over-diluted boxed potato flakes. Lastly, the gravy was lacking flavor, tasted like the gelatinous kind you get in a jar, but the worst part was the chunks of RAW onions mixed in. The raw onion in a gravy is what really prompted my review, you do not put half inch chunks of raw onion in a gravy, period. That's when I realized my meal was carelessly prepared by an inexperienced staff member, or the quality of the food has significantly decreased. Understandably, every restaurant has a flaw here and there, but my dinner wasn't a flaw, it was a careless pile of inedible mess. The food was great and has always been good from here. This review is based on the staff and service. Which is absolutely awful. First, NONE of the staff were wearing a mask and neither were any of the customers. Our server didnt have a mask on at all the entire time we were in the restaurant which was well over an hour. We went when there were maybe 5-8 people inside(mostly at the bar). Our server never refilled any of our waters and when we asked for one she took our cup and never brought it back. We waited about 30 minutes for our food and once we were finished she looked over at our table multiple times, but continued talking to people for 20 minutes before coming to our table. We asked for to go boxes and after getting the boxes then waited another 30 minutes for her to bring us the check when we were one of two or three tables she had. Every time she brought our table a wrong alcoholic drink or never brought us water or made us repeat our order she would say "sorry I'm working a double" which I understand is long hours, but we should have at least gotten waters as well as not had to wait 30 minutes just to have the ticket brought to us because she was socializing. read more

This place is a hidden gem. Everytime we get food here I'm pleasantly surprised at how incredible it truly is. First off, this place has the BEST wings in BR in my opinion. I stick with the extra spicy dry rub wings and they are just outstanding. Many places around town have lackluster wings that leave little to be desired, but man these things are juicy, crispy, and flavored excellently. I do wish they offered blue cheese, but the ranch will do. Also, try their paw sauce....its like a kicked up version of Cane's sauce! The burgers here are also outstanding. Cooked to temp per order is always a great sign since I get mine on the more rare side, and they actually cook it and season it correctly. That's a lot to say around BR. Most places cook them well done and do not offer any other options. Also, try their red beans!! They are like a better version of Popeye's beans....which are excellent!
