Visiting and love trying new coffee places. The location is attached to a Hyatt, and in a business park, so I think that's this or main customer base. I think it just missed the mark, not with the coffee, but with the service. The girl at the register was nice enough, maybe a little stand-offish. The barista was just didn't have any customer service skills. I got a latte with spiced vanilla, it was fine. The blueberry danish though, not great at all. Maybe this is my fault, but asked to have it warmed up. However, I thought it would be toasted, but I think it was microwaved. As soon as it started to cool down it became hard and tough. read more

There's a gift and a curse to the area of Downtown Tulsa I live at when it comes to food. A lot of spots during the week close at 2-3pm & close even earlier on weekends and might not even be open on Sundays. This was one of those moments & this Topeca was open (till 4 on Sunday) and came in the clutch. I also enjoy going to spots that have multiple locations to see if they serve anything different than the other (in this instance as well, I wanted an item that's always been selling out recently). So, the item I wanted sold out (of course) & I was told to come back the next day and it'll be available. It's off of their (seasonal) Summer Menu so I went ahead with another that was on it, a Cascara Energy drink. It's iced and it was super good. Hints of cherry in every sip. I got the Polish Sausage Roll to go with my drink. I grabbed some dijon mustard & went to work. I enjoyed it, there was a non-polish sausage one as well. They're a pretty good size. The server was super nice & friendly. Compared to other locations, this one had chia seed puddings. Different kinds that look good & all had fruit on top. A cappuccino was very smooth and well textured with foam, particularly the foam, which was very impressive in a non dairy product. Its location was a plus, as it was an easy and convenient stop, and can certainly be appreciated when one is in a rush and just does not feel like going out. The menu was reasonably good in terms of breakfast, and the pastry that I ordered to taste was well made and good. With that said, there were drinks that were a little sugar-sweet and felt somewhat out of balance, which detracted on the whole experience. Every year I come to downtown Tulsa for a music education conference, and I make my annual pilgrimage to the Topeca Coffee location on 2nd Street. I stumbled across it 3 years ago, and I've been returning every year since. Their coffee is delicious, and the baristas are very kind! I've ordered t several of their seasonal drinks, but I'm a basic caramel macchiato girl at heart. I grabbed one this year on my way to my conference, and it was delicious! The space is so clean and bright, with lots of clean, white tile on the walls and floors and beautiful plants around the front door. If you're staying in downtown Tulsa and need a quick, strong, well-brewed coffee, this is your place to stop! read more

Delicious coffee in a super hip setting. It was quiet on a Saturday afternoon. Loved their seasonal butternut squash latte with almond milk. Cortado was also excellent. We hung out here for a couple of hours. Liked it more than Triangle coffee. read more

Topeca Coffee is such a vibe!! The aesthetic inside is perfect for a good study session. I was far more productive in 2hrs than I've been in a long time haha. Coffee-wise, it's pretty good! I asked the barista for a recommendation and she told me to get the Cafe de Olla Redeye. I got it as a latte and it was just what I needed for a 14hr day. My only critique is I was expecting more flavor from the spiced citrus sweet cream. It was very subtle. Maybe it's because I got it as a latte instead of an espresso. Overall, still good though! I definitely see myself going back and trying out the other drinks and pastries! read more

By far the best foam in a cappuccino I've ever had, and it wasn't even with heavy cream, but oat milk! This coffee shop is conveniently located in our hotel, so made it easy to stop in for coffee every morning. They also had a few warm and cold breakfast options. I had a blueberry scone and it was sweetened and warmed to perfection. I would definitely make this one of my regular coffee shops if I were a Tulsan!! read more

I ordered the Butternut Spice Latte "BSL", pH butternut spice with a touch of hazelnut and nutmeg makes this the best version of a PSL in town! I hadn't been to one of the Topeka spots downtown and I thought I'd give it a try. I got a 12oz americano and at the last second decided to get a vegan cookie as it was presented and I was hungry for breakfast. I should've called it off when I saw the price for the cookie. $5+ tax for a vegan cookie. I know we can all scream inflation, but for some flour, rolled oats, cocoa powder, sugar, a couple cherries and whatever the binder is (be it an egg replacer or apple sauce or what have you, none of these are all that expensive by the ounce) this is an absolute absurd price for a cookie. The cookie itself was *fine* - average size for a coffee shop cookie, not too sweet, not all that flavorful, sorta dry, but not too dry that you'll be covered in crumbs... it was fine. Antoinette two blocks north offers their vegan cookies (which typically have great texture) for $3+ tax. Across the street at Chimera they offer a variety of vegan cookies, some being gluten free as well, for $3.50+ tax. It's just insane to me that the cookies are the price that they are at Topeca. I know, I bought the ticket, I rode the ride. It was my choice. Gotta try everything once. It's just absurd that there is such a premium on the products here - oh, I forgot to mention my 12oz americano was $4.25, nothing astronomical, I know. However, that is more expensive than the going price in the area and once I got it back to my desk and put it in my 10oz thermos it didn't even fill it up. The space is nice, the coffee is okay, the pastries are fine, but it ain't worth it. Premium price for mediocre products. read more

My favorite coffee is Topeca from Tulsa. I order it often but when im in Tulsa i try to get downtown and have them make me some coffee. They won best coffee at the coffee trials a few years ago. Their coffee shop in the Hyatt was a daily destination when i worked downtown. It was a little sterile on this visit with little food items and retail biz to looks at but the PGA folks may have cleaned them out. Eat it. read more

This cafe is located on the 2nd Floor of the Hyatt hotel in the heart of Tulsa downtown. The interior is more spacious than the one in Phil K building but not many seats are provided due to the layout. The music they are playing are upbeat and quite loud. So if you want to work, you may need to bring a headphone with you (I see someone doing that right now.) The latte is spotted on - great ratio balance between the milk and the espresso. Beautifully made latte art. It has a small hint of tobacco note, could be from the roasting process, which we like. I still miss their old place by the Mayo Hotel because you can see beautiful wall arts (photos), comfy sofa, cozy vibe and stylish long table. We can't find any of that now. read more

I like to come here and get a London Fog and a pastry. It is a very convenient location because it is in (what feels like) the middle of downtown. I always get nice baristas helping and my order is specific but they deliver. I like how fresh all of the food is each time I am there and the music is always light and agreeable. There is not much seating at this location, but it is attached to a hotel so if push came to shove, you could always sit in the Hyatt lobby. The prices are a bit less than chain shops and you can even get a punch card that gives you the tenth beverage free! read more

Topeca Coffee was a life saver for me, and I was thrilled to find this high-quality coffee shop in the lobby of the Tulsa Hyatt Regency. At first I though this place might be just like your favorite hipster barista bar, but oh no.... this place is so much more. The lines out the door each morning were my first clue that the nearby office workers adored this little shop, but the wonderful staff really won me over with their friendliness. They teased me unmercifully about being the guy from Florida who couldn't handle their cold winter weather, but quickly handed me a tall, hot green tea along with a playful grin each morning. While others were busy ordering their mocha cinnamon latte with soy milk, I simply had to wave my hand and they had my hot green tea ready. For the coffee lovers, Topeca proudly heralded the fact that their beans came from the mountaintops of El Salvador, and were carted down the hilltops by Juan and his fuzzy little burro. I'm not sure about all of that, but the roasting coffee smelled fabulous, and people seemed to really enjoy the artistic designs formed on the tops of their cups of coffee each morning. Topeca has a large display case filled with wonderful fresh pastries along with juices and water. I was quickly hooked on the white chocolate raspberry scones to go with my hot green tea each morning, and grabbed a little corner table to enjoy a quick breakfast while checking out the delightfully brisk Tulsa weather forecast. I wasn't expecting much coffee-wise in Tulsa, but I'm very pleased with Topeca! I was here for 3 days for a conference, and each day they made me a stellar oat milk cortado. The baristas are all sweet and the outside area is just lovely (greenery just beyond their patio). I only take off a star because their drip coffee--which I only tried once and opted out beyond that--just wasn't very strong, even though they pitched that bean as one of their stronger roasts. But, it's ok, the espresso drinks are lovely! read more

I stayed at The Hyatt Regency for at rip to Tulsa. After a long night out I knew I needed to grab some coffee and a snack the next morning. I pulled up the Yelp mobile app, stepped out of the elevator and BOOM. Topeca Coffee appeared and connected directly to the lobby. Does it get more convenient then that? It seems this place is a local favorite and well beyond just your typical hotel coffee shop. The space is small but still plenty of tables to grab a spot. I overlooks a beautiful courtyard which adds to the ambiance. The coffee was fantastic. Strong, bold and delicious. I was too tired to make sense of what roast it was. I also tried one of their cinnamon rolls to go which they kindly heated up for me. Holy sugary goodness it was amazing. If you're nearby, you must grab one of these. I think they use a local bakery that makes them and they are beyond delicious. +1 for hotel convenience! read more

For someone who doesn't drink coffee, I frequent a lot of coffee shops. This one in downtown Tulsa is a great little find. I've been here three or four times now and every time I find a helpful person at the counter who makes my drink perfectly. The price is about par for an establishment of this sort. The place is always immaculately clean and I've never had a bad experience. I can't make any claims as to the coffee but the teas are good as are the products in the food case. read more

I love that this place is a bean to store and it is local to Tulsa. A great alternative to the "Starbucks" that are all over. The menu pic I took shows the reasonable pricing as well. Topeca offers consistent coffee at a reasonable price. Customer service is great for the most part except for one person (skinny tall guy). The magic isn't really in their drinks, but in their beans. Most americanos and lattes that I've had are on the bitter side and hide the character of the coffee. Cold brew and nitro are good but do not compare to Fair Fellow. When you stop by, make sure you either do a pour over or the coffee of the day, this is wear you taste the magic of the beans. Don't forget to grab a pound for home! read more

The coffee at Topeca is quality, but has a much stronger taste than other coffee places I've had. For example, the Iced coffee has a strong bittersweet taste to it I didn't expect and don't enjoy but others may like that. The cinnamon rolls with icing are a bit too sweet as well and I'm a sucker for sugar. The scones and cookies are great as well as the sausage and cheese rolls. Overall a good place but definitely a more distinct flavor here than the rest of Tulsa's coffee shops. read more

My husband and I stayed at the Hyatt so went to Topeca twice because of the convenience. First time we got chai tea lattes. They both tasted like a overly sweet maple latte with no underlying chai taste at all. Couldn't finish it because the fake sweet taste was just so overpowering. Decided to give Topeca another try but get coffee so my husband and I both got a vanilla iced lattes. Both of ours were by far the worst coffees we had. Vanilla was not even mixed in and wouldn't mix in with the coffee so it just sat at the bottom. Worst part was weird white specs that floated to the top. We weren't sure were they came from and if it was a problem with the milk or vanilla. All of that aside the drink was again overly sweet but somehow more bitter that coffee normally is. All in all we spend $10 on the coffees and didn't take more than a sip. My overall suggestion would be don't fall for the convenience factor of this coffee shop if you're staying at the hotel. It's definitely worth it to leave and grab something else. read more
