Found this great starter plant at Topanga Nursery. Love it, wonderfully maintained. Looks like a Jurassic park set :) Super nice people and very knowledgeable. Also has a great little coffee/food stand in the parking lot. Perfect to grab a cup and walk around and look at plants.

Such a beautiful visit to Topanga Nursery this weekend! Loved walking through the garden paths surrounded by butterflies, bees, and pomegranate trees. Enjoyed the most refreshing Horchata Matcha from Just Vibes Café Definitely a peaceful little oasis -- can't wait to come back!

I have really been wanting to start a garden and grow fresh herbs, fresh fruit, and fresh vegetables for all the cooking that I do. It's something I really enjoy and in the long run could maybe save me money. I decided to go to @topanganursery and walk around and get a feel for what they have. I thoroughly enjoyed just walking around. It's so beautiful..... like a secret garden. Now I feel very inspired and want to go back and get more. Today I started with an orange tree. But I also have my eye on this apple tree that produces five different types of apples. That will be my next purchase. I always say fresh is best! Can't wait to see my garden grow! Everyone who was working today was also very friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all my gardening questions! The only thing I wish they had was built wood planters to buy. I want a few to plant fresh herbs. I will definitely be visiting again soon!

Adorable nursery with attentive service! First time here and absolutely loved it! I called first to make sure they had lavender in stock. They advised me that had 3 different types in the 5 gallon size so I hopped in my car and drove to the nursery. There was small parking lot for about 8 cars and ample street parking. I parked in the street as the lot was full. The shop was set up well with indoor and outdoor areas. In addition to plants and flowers, I noticed pottery. There was a large amount of plants closely grouped together with little paths in between. It was fun to navigate through. Signs were posted with names and prices. Service was amazing and plentiful. Despite being somewhat busy, everyone who needed help was receiving it. Santiago assisted me with navigating the grounds, selecting my lavender and geranium, and carrying / loading them into my car. He was friendly, super helpful and knowledgeable. The cashier was wonderful too! Prices were slightly higher than the other nursery I frequent but the hours were better and service was more readily available. I will definitely be back. I loved the community vibe of this nursery.

proof this isn't the first time someone's witnessed this type of behavior from owners!

STICK WITH THE HONEY! I like the space but prices are WAY TOO HIGH and quality is NOT up to par, most indoor plants have burnt edges and a lot of the plants were bone-dry... Pay close attention and you'll see some dead plants shoved in with the living ones. Was in the store long enough to see gnats flying in and out of the 4" pots of maranta, pothos and not to mention, 5gl milkweed outside was INFESTED with aphids, YIKES! Here, common indoor plants are almost double the price in contrast to other nurseries in the area. GF and I were looking for a pittosporum tenuifolium for our sunny balcony and then we found it. Walked over to the ceramic pot section and we heard what sounded like the owner berating an employee inside the plant store. We were taken aback, what kind of unprofessional individual would berate so loudly at their employee within earshot of unsuspected shoppers? That's just a bad look.. But what really made my stomach turn was the 180 the owner did to seek business from another patron just a few minutes later! Affable, jovial attitude and hearty laughs from the mouth that was just reprimanding so fervently.. Obsequious business owner, ABSOLUTELY! We didn't buy anything, how could we after experiencing all that?! Remember kids, avarice is the root of ALL evil..... The aforementioned tip: STICK WITH THE HONEY!

Topanga nursery is a wonderful restful place to go to for flowers, veggies, trees, houseplants, and their delicious "in-house" honey They have awesome classes on gardening with friendly teachers and their staff is so knowledgeable and kind. Late February we went down to the nursery to buy some pollinator friendly plants, where we also attended their "pollinator-friendly class". We were worried we couldn't really plant anything on our balcony because it is so small, but the staff again helped us with some apartment friendly plant options. As long as I am in the valley this will be the only place I go to for any nursery and honey needs.

Beautiful nursery with a full honey shop inside. What a surprise ! They carry many varieties of plants and are willing to help you find what you need. As a plant lover, I love just waking around and getting inspired with plants that I can bring to my garden. I really suggest going and checking out what they have to offer. I believe the prices are competitive and fair. Would enjoy coming back one day soon if in the areas again.

Boyfriend took me here as a surprise today. Really neat experience. Super beautiful and they have everything you could be looking for then more.

Their fountain outside their bee giftshop is also a watering hole for bees and birds.

My wife loves this place. I come along to look at their bee stuff. They have everything you'd need and at a great price. In addition you get real customer service. Got an issue with your tomatoes ask them, they will help you. Need new plants they have them. They also have bee keeping supplies. While this is not my wheelhouse I find it completely fascinating. Their own bees actually pollinate their plants. You can watch a display hive in their giftshop. This is our first stop plant shop from now on.

I found via Yelp that Paradise Nursery had an array of different types of citrus trees along with other fruit trees that I was interested in. The yellow brick road led us to a very busy free and down to the outskirts of Chatsworth. The exit from the freeway was easy and it took us straight to the nursery. I drove into the parking area and got out into the hot sun!! Citrus trees everywhere!!! It was quiet...strange. I thought there would have been more folks roaming the nursery. Guess what I found out that day as the owner (Shawn) was walking towards us. They were closed and I was trespassing (kidding!) he was nice enough to allow us to stay and find what we wanted to purchase. I felt bad. And also embarrassed at the same time. But here we are. Sixty miles away from home and all I wanted were the lemon trees. Shawn told us we can roam around and see if there was anything on his lot we would like to purchase. After a few minutes of checking out the citrus trees, my older sister wanted to see if there were other "species" of lemons. Lo and behold, she found the Buddha's' Hands and was adamant about bringing one home. Of course I couldn't say no to her so we got a 5-gallon one which had two fruits bearing the stem and then I found a mini Myer lemons and decided to bring both home. The trees came to the total of $118.00 and I cannot be any happier than to have forced my way into Shawn's nursery that day. He was a good sport and answered all the questions I had regarding taking my new plant babies home. Please note the nursery is closed Sunday and Monday. They also do delivery of your purchase to your home or office. I will be stopping by again and I promise this time, it won't be on Sunday!!

I started my search for a landscaper by trying to get info from homeowners who's Landscape I really liked. There was one house in particular that I always passed and always said to myself I love their landscape. I didn't know the owners but I decided to take a chance and knock on their door to see if I could get some info! Turns out the owner was a very nice lady and she gave me the info for Randy the owner of Chatsworth Landscaping. I called Randy and I was really impressed with his knowledge and years in the business. He also seemed like a genuinely nice guy. We set up a time for him to come by and give me a quote and share some ideas for how he might landscape my property. During the process of getting me a quote he took thorough measurements of my yard and gave me a very specific vision as to what he thought would work well based on what I was originally looking for. Randy followed up with a quote super fast. The quote was very detailed but easy to follow. Everything was specific and well laid out. His pricing was also fantastic. I decided to hire Randy for the job and all I can say is everything came out beautifully! One thing that always worries me when it comes to contractors and especially landscapers is communication and timeline. Randy was a complete breath of fresh air throughout the whole process. Also I wanna make a special note that his foreman Feliciano and his brother worked incredibly hard on my property and much of the time it was almost 100° outside. Not once did they complain or stop. My property now looks beautiful, is low maintenance, and very relaxing. I couldn't be happier with the work that Randy and his crew did. Would not hesitate to hire him one bit. Simply the best.
