The nail tech used a dirty cuticle nipper on my nails!! It still had someone else's skin on it when she used it on me. This is incredibly dangerous because not sterilizing tools that cut tissue can infect clients. Was so completely disgusted by that. I came in for a walk-in gel manicure. The salon is generally clean and has a nice atmosphere. I was pretty disappointed in the quality of the manicure. The ends of my nails are jagged and thick. Let me first start by saying I completely understand why it was so dead when i walked in. When I had called, I told them over the phone I had a gift certificate and they said it was fine. I had gotten the most basic pedicure and gel manicure (service was decent but felt like they were rushing and I did not feel very relaxed since I got my pedi and mani done at the same time so there was a lot for me to focus on than to relax). When I presented them with the the gift certificate (that didn't have an expiration date, because it's a freaking gift certificate) she said they couldn't take it because they had new owners in 2024... and the owner or manager, whoever it was, refused to come and speak to me or even give me a refund for it. And they wouldn't accept it regardless. My gift certificate was from 2022 but I haven't lived in California since I got it. But once again, it's a gift card and those don't expire? Anyway. No compensation or even a coupon for next time, the girl literally looked at me and said "I am just a worker" which is why I insisted on talking to whom ever was denying the gift certificate. Been driving past this salon but never came to receive services. I was treated for a service. They've updated their inside from the person who took me. Ned chairs with massagers and updated paint. Very white and clean looking. I got my toys done. For my not so attractive feet they made them like new. I enjoyed my hot stone massage and overall service. Do not come here. I have never walked out in the middle of a service before. I asked for a fill and while I was talking to my daughter she just started chopping my nails off. I freaked out saying why are you cutting them off? Those are my natural nails!!! She said oh you should have told me and stopped me faster. I was distracted and didn't expect her to do that. I gave her permission to cut the rest short so I can just start over and regrow my nails. Then she used cuticle cutters to start ripping the acrylic off without filing or soaking. She was hurting me and ruining my nails. I asked her several times to be more gentle because she was hurting me and finally said I'm done. I don't want to do anymore. Pics show how I left the salon. So today I had some time and stopped in for a walk-in. WHAT?? NEW OWNERS?? Oh No!! (strike 1) I almost walked out but I was pretty desperate so I went ahead and got up in the chair - The prices were higher which is to be expected any time a company changes hands. (two strikes) -then I realized that 2 different ladies asked me if I'd like to have something to drink, (hmm, that never happened before!) and everyone talked to me. Folks are very friendly and nice. CUSTOMERS BEWARE. DIRTY. My Fiancé, Sister and Mother had the unfortunate idea of stopping by this place to get pedicures. They were a little scared because they suspected the cleanliness was not up to par. They reluctantly decided to proceed with the service. I am sad to report that their worst fears came true when after they were serviced, new customers were sat in the same pedicure chairs without any form of disinfection or sanitation process. Now I have the unfortunate duty to report this place to the State Board for sanitation concerns. To add insult to injury, my fiancé stood up and the staff began to insist that she pay immediately? As if she was planning to make a run for it. Wow. I am so disappointed with this place, the lack of customer service skills is beyond understanding. My fiancé said "I'm barefoot" but they insisted and demanded payment on the spot. They made her walk to the register BAREFOOT just to pay because of their weird fears. Furthermore, they charged a $1.00 fee for using a credit card. Of course after all this, a well deserved zero tip was given along with a one star review. TOP STAR NAILS? They need to change their salon to ONE STAR NAILS. Keep up with ya service quality. So first off I called this nail salon to make sure they were open and could do my full set before coming from Vallejo, I let them know I'll be there in 30 mins, I pull up about 30 mins later and see they got people outside getting their nails done in 95 degree heat. So they sit me down, and I show them a full set ombré picture I wanted and she goes we don't have the supplies for that, we can't do ombré. I said Oh really? Okay, can I do all pink? Showed them a picture of coffin pink nails she walked away and this other girl comes out and says hey so the gel and powder won't set in the heat can you come back? I said I just drove all the way out here and I told y'all I was getting a full set. They were rude about it and didn't explain this while I was on the phone. If they knew they couldn't do my nails cause the heat they shoulda said so before I wasted my gas to come out here. She leaves this client while her nails are soaking, and is now doing the man next to me pedicure... touching his feet . I've been driving by this place for the last couple of months ( on the way to WalMart, and right next to Starbucks ) .. I also needed a fill B A D for the last week. She continued to use the same file with blood all over it and all I could think about was the possibility of her doing that before and using the same file on me .
