This place is right next door to my dentist so I thought I would try it out. I went during their grand opening so hair cuts were $10. Ever since then I've been coming here to get my hair cut Kim is a really good hair stylist. She listens to what you want and doesn't take too long to do it. Just got my man a haircut with the short hair lady we haven't seen before. My man grows his hair out for so long, brings in a picture, and says "keep the top long please." Well she chopped the top. My son got a great back-to-school buzz from Kim while my daughter got a nifty trim from her assistant. Then my reluctant wife (who has thick, half-Asian hair) decided to get a cut as well, and Kim gave her a very flattering smart-and-sassy short bob. All three done in less than one hour total. Total tab was just $40 (including tip), which basically felt like stealing. In a bigger city, Kim could charge at least double if not triple and it would still be a bargain. For kids: They call themselves as family hair care. We took our 2 year old toddler after checking if his age is okay to be here . 1st time there was a guy and he really did well he clearly asked for what we want before starting . Impressed by his service decided to go for 2nd time and there were two ladies. After a wait time of 25 mins we were called(not pointing the wait time as there is no reservations). The lady so call herself as 20 years experiences person didn't even bother to ask what we wanted. My husband was explaining something and she started already clearing half of my kid's head. I understand kids are cranky for haircut and We already disappointed with what she is doing. My son was crying with hairs inside his eyes and she least bothered to wait for a minute to let us check on him. I told her to be gentle when she hold my son's neck tight. That was totally an unpleasant experience. Finally we got what i have never expected with my son. During billing she said if you want your kid not to cry , take him to the kids specific salon nearby(she pointed name too) and pay $35. And she says it's yelling if we ask her to be gentle with the kid. Wow !! does that mean my kid will be treated in such a way if I am charged less here? This is so rude! I will never go back. im in process of changing my hair style and trying a different look. My hair are super straight and thick. I wanted to get a undercut/pompadour look. Wait was not long. maybe 5-10 mins. lady who cut my hair seems experienced in simple buzz cut hair. I told her im looking for undercut look. She said alot of asian have that style and she knows how to do it. After the cut, it looked like normal short cut with little length left. Not impressed. wont do back. This place recently opened and it is great. The owner was a former Great Clips employee and has since branched out on her own. She does great cuts and the price is very reasonable. If you don't have a favorite barber or hair stylist you should give her a try. You won't be disappointed. read more

Went to get both my children haircuts Sunday after the week off due to the snow. My daughter now has LICE. Fortuately my son did not get it. He got his cut from another hair stylist. Was so sad because the people were so nice and thought this might be my place to go for cuts. Her head started to itch right afterwards and I know she didnt get it from school because she hasnt been there for a week due to snow closure. I notice her itching her head pretty vigorously after her haircut but that it was stray hair tickling her neckline. So annoyed because as an adult I have it (from cuddling and laying w/ my daughter during bedtime). So frustrating taking time away from work to spend the day medically treating and pulling bugs out of my and my daughter hair, washing all sheets, clothes, vaccuming like crazy, and my husband and son worrying if they have it. While sometimes I would leave there getting the haircut I hoped for, more often than not I have to ask them to improve the fade from top to side. Having recently moved back to WA from CA I needed a recommendation of a hairstylist for a much needed haircut. My mom suggested I go to see Kim, as she's been her loyal customer ever since she used to work at Great Clips. I walked in early on a Saturday afternoon and Kim got started right away. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she did exactly that in about 15 minutes. I've probably never had a better cut and she works so quickly! I had been paying $60+ at my old salon in CA! I also had her trim my eyebrows as well. For both services she charged $14.99. Unheard of!! She got a very good tip and I will definitely be going back!!! read more

It's tough to find a place that is cheap and knows what they are doing. I hate it when I pay for a hair cut and end up going home and fixing it. Search is over guys. This place is cheap ($13.99 for mens haircut), clean, walk-ins welcome, friendly, and does a good job. Anyone can cut hair, but Kim understands. For ex: I said I wanted a Faux Hawk with a size 1 on the sides and she got it done in less then 10mins. Most people will act like they know, but take 20-30mins., miss a few strands of hair, fade too hight or too low, and worst case not even have want you asked for. I want a undercut hairstyle for a wedding so I have been growing my hair nice and long. Since my regular guy went on vacation and I need haircut now and I came to this place because of good review. I took pics and show it to the lady in case of misunderstanding. The lady, owner took care of me. I told her I want both side short but keep the length on the top just like in the pics She said ok and got it. Then she took hair clipper and cut off all my hair, I said please do not cut the top she said she has not touched hair on the top but when I realize she is doing the fading with scissor she cut the hair that she is not suppose to cut in undercut style. I said please stop cutting the top again my hair are all gone. I am in cosmetology school and working in beauty service so I know how is the pain in the ass customers. So I did not complain and said to her to finish the haircut but do not take off any length on the top. I just paid and even tip her but I am so disappointed that she has no idea how to cut undercut or pompadour haircut and she did not even care how customer feel just want to get you in and out quick. The hair cut was only 10 mins. Now i end up with the classic style with short hair. This place is good for quick and easy haircut but has a very little experience with hairstyle. It's cheap and quick, ideal for boys and men, but not for women who look for a stylish haircut. I am an Asian woman with long straight hair. I had a trim once, and it was ok. Then I tried its perm. It was the biggest mistake I've ever made! I told her "not too curly" and I want my perm to look natural, but it turned out an Afro look! The solution was too strong and my hair is now very dry. I put 3 times more hair conditions when I wash my hair than how much I used to put on before I had the perm. It is still very dry. I will never go back again. this place is not for me. Kim gave me a bad cut, she cut my bang that was too short. I told her that please trim my hair a little bit, but she cut all my hair off. When she was done my hair was not layered or angled like I've always had in my life. My hair looked so terrible and I cried may times. I am very upset with my haircut. Recommendations here state that we should ask for Kim. I called in, Kim answered and so I drove over there. 30 minutes later, Kim was gone but Daniel was there. I requested Kim but he either didn't see my request or ignored it and asked me over. I hadn't heard anything particularly negative about any of the barbers here so I gave him a shot--and I'm glad I did. I've received compliments from everyone I've seen today and several asked where I'd had my hair cut. They don't have the bells and whistles that somewhere like Sport Clips has but $15 for a top quality cut is a bargain. I look forward to visiting again next month! read more
