I dont usually take time to post reviews bit i felt like Top Rated and their crew deserved the 5 minutes of my time it took to do this. Friendly, professional, outstanding customer service. I will never look for another moving company again. They packed my entire home and moved us all in one day. Couldn't have asked for more. You get what you pay for. I got lower prices from the website I found top rated moving on.byt they all seemed sketchy and put so much pressure on me. I will say that I had a couple hiccups with the delivery because the building did not want to accommodate their truck on the day they arrived, but the driver rescheduled and figured it out with me. Top notch service. Not rude and aggressive like many other movers I've dealt with in the past. Thank you to Ben, Thomas, Jeff and their magnificent crews for taking such care and having a good attitude while doing a difficult job. read more

Professional criminals. They know all the angles to give you the BIG screw. My six thousand dollar move turned into thirteen thousand dollars. They held my household item hostage in New Jersey for 6 days. We were in Georgia. When they did arrive in another truck they refused to open the truck until l payed 7 thousand more dollars in cash. I don't know why l didn't call police when they forced me to sign a paper that stated that the document must not be signed until my belongings were checked for damage and inclusion. They would not even open the truck!!!! read more

Top Rated Moving Van Lines - Empty space, illegal worker hiding face. - Movers Near Me - Passaic, New Jersey

This isn't a review about bait and switch pricing (it happened). All movers do the same (6th move in 10 years). This is about false advertisement and lying. Their sales team will message you with articles explaining why you should hire them and not other companies: they handle the move themselves and do not contract out unlike the movers in the articles listed (screenshot of the text message attached). They pickup, they transport coast to coast and they unload. They even will check the DOT website of competitors to show you how many more miles they carry as a proof. They advertise themselves as movers, but act as brokers and did not disclose it. I would have went somewhere else. At pickup, a different carrier (Starbright Vanlines) came. The crew was professional and efficient. Nothing to note there, except again, it was not Top Rated that did the work. Oh well they will do the transport at least? Right?! A week later, on a Monday, I called to check on a timeline for the transport. The transport was set for Thursday. The following Monday I was given 2 phone numbers for the driver, both wrong. Weird, you would think they know their driver's phone number. So it was indeed not their driver. When confronted, the dispatcher Tina kept saying: "He is our driver, he only has our stuff, we pay him". More lying. Then Tuesday I was given the phone number of the driver's dispatcher. The man (Salam Trade World LLC aka Bravo Moving, yet another company) was rude and told me that nothing was leaving before Friday and to deal with it. "They wanted your stuff out of their warehouse. He called back the next day to tell me that the truck was actually in Las Vegas and that I should expect delivery Saturday or Sunday. On Friday night the driver called after 11pm to tell us our delivery will be the next day. Saturday, the driver called back to say that his back hurts, the truck has a flat tire, he needs to find a smaller truck, and he needs to find a moving crew. At that point, I called back Top Rated yet again to try to get an answer. 15min later, the contracted moving company contacted me to confirm delivery Sunday. I had a bad feeling so I got a camera with continuous recording and set it up pointing at the entrance. Sunday at 3:30 PM the driver arrived with 3 random people he found on craigslist to unload while he sat on his phone. They were clearly not happy to be there, had no idea what to do (they were surprised that boxes need to be unloaded in the house and not the garage). With a few exceptions, almost every box was crushed. Wardrobe boxes were re-taped and missing the crossbar. The majority of the furniture wrapped by the movers had significant damage. But the best part was the very heavy table top. The last item to move, with no proper moving gear. As they entered the house, they dropped the table top nearly injuring one of the workers (he was going to quit on the spot) and damaging the front door of the rental (got it on video) as well as the table. They then packed as fast as they can leaving some items unassembled because one of the crew "had a flight to catch". They left walls and stairs damaged as well. We also ended up with boxes that do not belong to us, full of personal and precious items (child ultrasounds, wedding pictures). When mentioned to Top Rated, they completely ignored me. I have been trying to contact the original owners. If you call the Claim's company and give their name, they have been dropped in June. You have to file under the the name of the company that picked up. Again, something we know happens with brokers, but we were told we are hiring movers. Long story short, I was promised a local moving company that handles everything end to end, instead they did NOTHING, lied, damaged our items, and treated us like garbage. read more

Top Rated Moving Van Lines - The lies start during the sale process. - Movers Near Me - Passaic, New Jersey

Give them a 0 if I could. Moved us about a year ago VA to ID. Worst service ever on all categories. Packing didn't exist- thrown in boxes. Ran out of boxes and material. Didn't bring a big enough truck for everything. Under quoted and then overcharged on receiving- which they demanded in cash or no unload. Every piece of furniture was damaged, some totally destroyed. We filed many claims and requests and crickets- haven't heard anything back. I'm missing so many items that are probably in the back of a warehouse in New Jersey. Doris- go fly a kite!!! read more

Star Bright Vanlines was very unprofessional and deceiving. I would not recommend them to anyone. If I could give zero stars I would. Please STAY AWAY. The sales person I spoke to said the company was in business for many years but according to the BBB website they have only been in business for 2 years. They said they owned their own trucks, but when my stuff was delivered, the driver said he did not work for Star Bright. They didn't even have a trailer with the StarBright logo. Their original estimate is very low so expect to pay twice the amount quoted. I couldn't take all my things that I wanted to move and had to leave them behind. They claimed to take care of your belongs but they were very rough. They first delivered only 1/2 of my belongings and then spent over an hour looking for the remainder of my things. I had to wait another week before everything was delivered. They broke many things, opened boxes, and even stole items from a plastic storage cabinet. I had a chest of drawers broken beyond repair, broke off the control panel of my elliptical, dropped my subwoofer which cannot be repaired, scratched my bookcases, and scratch my nightstands. I am missing a couple of items that should have been delivered, they stole things from my cabinet, opened boxes, boxes were crushed, even the ones marked FRAGILE. They did not care. They don't communicate very well. I was originally planning to get my stuff picked up on a Wednesday but never heard of a confirmation. The dispatcher was rude to me when I called asking when they were showing up, saying that I would receive a call the day before. When the finally called on Wednesday afternoon they said I was scheduled for Thursday between 5 and 7 PM. I lived in New England it is dark at 4:30. Who wants to move in the dark. I did arrange for a 5AM on Friday morning but didn't hear anything until 5:30 stating they were an hour away. The first delivery I got, were 2 individuals of which one did not speak any English. When I finally got the rest of my belonging, the second delivery, there were 2 individuals, neither which spoke English. This was the worst moving experience ever - I worried about my stuff. Now that I am unpacking, I am finding things that we picked up were never delivered. read more

HUGE WARNING! Don't even consider TOP Rated Van Lines company. From the beginning to the end, you will encounter issues as well as professional liars. The only saving grace were the guys who came to initiate the move. The office manager is an absolutely horrid individual who thinks that she can speak to you as if you are nothing. The initial encounter with Bill was great. You came away expecting to have a great experience, however, there is a discrepancy between what he says and what actually happens. What is not communicated is the constant addition of charges. Furthermore, I lost close to $500 dollars worth of paintings (2 LARGE boxes) that disappeared sometime during transit to my destination. The drop off driver was also extremely rude. And he even brought another customer's item to give me which I promptly told him was NOT mine. Overall, I would not even give this company one star. Efficiency, professionalism and customer care are three integral aspects that are truly missing. Bypass this company! read more

DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY!!!!!! First let me start off with how rude, unprofessional this company is. If I knew that this company contracted its resources out to unprofessional movers, and people across the nation. First the lied about the pricing. I got one price from the (Michael) in sales, and then the scheduling lady, OMG. She was one of the nasties individual that a human being could ever deal with. The company picked up my items from Virginia on the 21st of June, and was suppose to deliver on the 23rd of June. Never got my stuff until the 10th of July. But asked me what was my first available delivery date was. Instead of them coming with a Top Rated Moving Company Truck, they come in a box truck- which was sublet though a temp company, or craigslist. The first set of guys were great. They handled my stuff with care, wrapped up everything, they even took my washer and dryer down and it was not even on my list, but of course I gave them a tip for doing that. Top Rated Moving Van Lines (BAD FOR BUSINESS). I DO NOT recommend anyone to use this company. One of my trunk legs end up broken, baskets destroyed..... So, many lies started after the move out date. I got no communication from them what so even. I called, and left messages texted Michael, and his manager. What a waste of MONEY and TIME. The driver comes up with all these excuses such as the truck was broken down, in the shop, and it was in the shop for days....... Now, mind you. All of this was within week two when I was suppose to get my stuff delivered. Now, if this was a real company like JK Movers, Three Men and Truck, this would of never happened. If a company like Top Rated Movers was creditable then there would be no way that they only have one working truck running only one truck that this company had going across the US. I do not believe it. I really think that this company is so overrated and needs to be shut down. What moving company only has one working truck when you're charging customers/clients thousands and thousands of dollars. First to hold the spot they take a credit card/debt card over the phone, then they have you write a check at the time of getting your personal belongs, and then once they drop off your belongs they want cash money at hand. This is all a SCAM!!!! I really wished I did my research before I allowed Micheal to talk me into using this company. Now, mind you! I moved from Northern Va to Charleston SC. This was not a easy move at all. They company even refused to give me a credit for all the arguing, phone calls, texting that I did. I was so emotionally and emotionally drained from these people until I just gave up. read more

Top Rated Moving Van Lines LLC is a SCAM! This company should be exposed and stopped! I hired this company to move me from NYC to CT at the end of July, 2014. They entice you with a welcoming initial contact and a low estimate. The estimate was determined over the phone (no one came to make an in-person assessment). After they received the $1000 fee for the privilege of speaking to someone on the phone, I couldn't get in touch with anyone to determine what date they would pick up the items. The night before they came, they called to tell me that they would arrive between 8-10AM. I had packed most of my things so that all they had to do was load the truck. When they arrived, the movers (who were very nice0 informed me that the estimate was too low, and I was charged a third higher than the amount originally quoted (an additional $1054 that needed to be paid in cash or Money Order). After the truck was loaded, the leader of the movers took our contact information and said he would call when they were close (it was a two hour drive). We waited until 1AM the next morning with no word. There was still no word the following day. The company couldn't tell me what was happening. My things were picked up in NYC on Tuesday morning, and I finally received them on Thursday. So, for almost 2 days, my things were in limbo. When unpacking, I noticed that the boxes marked "FAGILE" were upside down with boxes marked "BOOKS - HEAVY" on top of them. Needless to say, a number of delicate items were smashed. read more

Review: URGENT WARNING - Do NOT Use This Moving Company! I narrowly escaped a MAJOR SCAM with this company, and I'm sounding the alarm so you don't fall victim too! They quoted me $6,559 for my move and demanded $2,500 upfront. Then, they said I needed to pay another 50% using cash, Venmo, or a cashier's check--highly suspicious! When they arrived, they refused to move my items unless I signed a BLANK CONTRACT with NO PRICE or details - a clear red flag! When I refused to sign, things turned ugly. The foreman actually started throwing some of my belongings around in anger. We had to call the cops to stop them from doing any more damage. They tried to pressure me into signing a contract that would have left me defenseless. The sales rep, Dan, disappeared on moving day, and a woman took over the calls, ignoring my concerns. DO YOUR RESEARCH NOW! I learned too late that many others have had the same horrifying experience with this company. If my family (who are attorneys) hadn't intervened, I might have lost thousands of dollars and my belongings! URGENT ADVICE: Avoid this company at ALL COSTS! Use PODS or rent a U-Haul, but DO NOT trust them with your move. Their shady practices are well-documented--just check the Better Business Bureau. Sales guy: Dan. Supervisor: Dolores. Research their address and see for yourself. ACT NOW! Protect yourself and your belongings. Don't make the mistake I almost did. This company will face karma, but let's not give them more innocent victims to prey upon! read more

Far from "top rated," these people are a bunch of crooks. My best friend is moving from the Bronx to North Carolina. She was quoted $1890 for the entire move. She packed everything herself and measured everything correctly. First of all, they showed up a day earlier than planned. When the movers arrived to pick her (very few) things up, they complained about everything the entire time, then pulled a bait and switch once everything was already loaded up, arguing that the initial forms "weren't filled out correctly" and proceeded to charge her MORE THAN DOUBLE what was agreed upon in the many interactions she'd had with them leading up to this. By this point, she's on a time crunch, so there was no other feasible option to move her belongings. After being told what was going on and seeing red, I did some not-so-deep digging of my own, and it's pretty clear from the MANY other 1-star reviews that this company is scamming the absolute shit out of people. Not only did they take full advantage of her, but they also left her apartment a fucking wreck. She had zero damage in the entire two years she's been in that apartment, and now the day before she's due to hand the keys in, she's terrified she's going to lose her deposit thanks to their carelessness. Scratches all over the hardwood floors, scuffs on the walls. She was so frustrated that she just let them finish up and was a sobbing mess over it, because who in the nine circles of hell has several thousand dollars just laying around to make up that much of a difference in this economy? She was quoted less than $2k and is somehow now expected to pay just shy of $3k. This plan has been in place for months, she saved up everything she had to make this move happen. It's disgraceful how predatory these people are. Make no mistake, we will be getting a lawyer involved if this isn't rectified. I don't know what kind of fraudulent BS this company is trying to pull on people, but they picked the wrong ones this time. read more

I am still being denied a refund by CSI who processes insurance claims for Top Rated Moving Van Lines Passaic NJ. I am still disputing their denial of claim. Believe it is 3 now. I am going to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission tomorrow. I see that this company continues to do business as they did with me. Many people are having the same problems with this company as I did. I encourage all of you who have been scammed, lied to and taken advantage of by this company to do the same. Also you can file with the Attorney General in the state of NJ and also in the state where your items were delivered. Don't let companies continue to do this. When an attorney general's office has 50 complaints about a company they start looking into things. Join me in making this company answer for the deceitful, unethical, immoral, bait and switch tactics they use frequently to rip people off. If you file a review only it will help others make a decision. If you want to have this company looked into you need to take the time to file with the Federal Trade Commission and the attorney general's offices. We have recently moved from New Jersey to Florida! DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY!! Top Rated Moving Van Lines LLC: They are untrustworthy, dishonest, deceitful, and one of the most unreliable companies we have ever dealt with. Our items were calculated via email and we were quoted a price based on my accurate list of items. The company did not send a representative to come down to our house. We had to give a deposit in February (we were told to beat an increase for the summer) which was nonrefundable. We expected to move in the middle of june. It was a new house and construction was not exact. The movers knew this and I could change a date with 3 days notice. We paid the deposit and as time went on, our list increased; the movers were informed of every addition and we paid the necessary adjustment. At this time we were being billed for 700 cubic ft. of possessions. When they arrived the driver said that the salesman, Mike, made a huge mistake and that it would be more money than our quote. So our 700 cubic feet quote turned out to be 1700 cubic ft., a 242% error!! And a lot more money. Our items were loaded and taken away. we knew it would be stored until needed. We first had to change the date, and didn't have any issues. We then had to change the date again, due to construction issues; which I did 14 days before our original change and were then informed it would be an additional charge of $1500! They had our possessions; what was our only alternative. They then delivered our items, a day later than agreed, but still not a problem and we had to pay all the monies due before unloading, and in cash. They hurriedly unloaded all and didn't even unwrap some of the items, which we had to do. After eventually going through all our possessions, we were only then realizing some of what was missing. We had 50 or so plastic boxes, with various items including new items. As we unpacked, ALL the new items were missing, that is not a coincidence, and 16 out of 50 plastic boxes were destroyed, shattered. They were held together by their tape; these were new heavy plastic boxes, like rubbermaid boxes. (70 quart) One of the items we had to unwrap was an oak fishing rod holder; the rack was broken and the piece wasn't even in the packaging. Another a new oak bar stool with 2" square legs, one leg was just shattered. We shipped a 200lb BBQ, green egg style, which they packed. When WE unwrapped it, we found it to be in at least 100 pieces. This is an item that is one and a half inches thick of porcelain. There was no concern in handling any of our items!! It appears they were just tossed. No wonder they were in a hurry to leave. At the time of delivery we expressed concern as to damage and we were assured any incidents would be handled by the company. This was an outright lie!! They give all complaints to an independent (so we're told) company to arbitrate. We filled out many forms as well as sent photos of all we could, the stolen items were not available to take pictures of. It all was a waste of time, CSI, the company they used, only offered $159, we were told we would be paid on weight even thou we were billed on volume. This has been the most unethical company we have ever dealt with. I can't emphasize enough not to use this company; you will regret it in a long run. If you want your furniture all damaged, then by all means, choose this company. I hired this company for my move from DC to RI. Every single piece of my furniture was damaged and 3 out of my 12 boxes were full of completely shattered glass. The 2 rugs were rolled and taped, and the ends of these beige rugs are now brown. My 4 dresser legs are completely broken, screws stripped, my nightstand drawer completely broken it doesn't open and close. My tv stand scuffed all along the side. My bed frame severely cracked and chipped. Apart from having all of my (only 10 month old) furniture arrive in poor quality, on arrival I was charged $1000 more than my quoted rate. Told it was far more space than they estimated in the quote. The guys that came on pickup were extremely nice, patient about my building elevator situation, friendly, and appeared to take care of moving my items. On delivery, it was the opposite. they were supposed to arrive on the weekend, I heard nothing from dispatch, then they finally called me Monday afternoon that were coming Tuesday between 11-2. On Tuesday at 722 am I was called that they were 20 minutes away. I told them I was not ready and I was told 11-2, and they essentially said too bad. I had to go to the bank to get cash, and when I came back they had been waiting about 7 minutes for me. One of the movers, the older guy, was cursing about me in Spanish, which he assumed I didn't understand. Calling me "this F$&@ing Italian b!$&h making us wait this is ridiculous" so on and so forth. They brought all of my items in in such a rush, were rough handing them all. That's how I knew glass was broken, bcs I actually heard it when they were dropping the boxes. They left half of them wrapped and in the middle of my living room, with parts and pieces in bags and I had no idea where they went. They asked me to quickly count everything that was here and before I knew it they were gone. They left pieces of trash (plastic and tape) outside my building in the grass and along the hallway. I am in the middle of filing a claim and it appears they tricked me into thinking my items were covered with insurance, but of the 200 signatures they required of me, one of them was not for insurance. So this is another battle. I would not hire this moving company even if they paid ME to move my items. read more

I was living in the city of Philadelphia, PA and I needed to move to the city of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Mr. Michael Scott contacted me, who offered me a reasonable service according to the number of items I had to move (there were few) for the value of $1700, he told me that my items would have insurance and the collection was scheduled for 01-02-2023, therefore a payment was made via ZELLE (info@topratedmovingvanlines.com) for the value of $706.5 for book pickup at Philadelphia, PA, 19111. The day they came to pick up my belongings, 3 of the 12 boxes were for shoes but the sticky tape had run out and the people who made the move would take care of closing them, I was alone in the house, while they assembled the boxes and they "closed the boxes", I was signing more than 15 pages that the driver showed me, therefore I tried to concentrate on what they were putting on the truck and what I had to sign. In one of those 3 boxes that were open and they "sealed with their tape" were the Gucci boots and bag, as well as Armani Exchange brand tennis shoes. While they were picking up I made another payment via ZELLE (topratedmovingvanlines@gmail.com) for $499. However, I also made a payment via ZELLE (9734054130) to Mr. JOSE LOPEZ for $150 since the company would charge more but they would "do me the favor of setting up more things and closing my boxes". From that date I did not know anything else until 01-14-2023, when my belongings arrived at Fort Lauderdale, FL, 33312, and before the items were dropped off, the driver tells me that I HAVE TO PAY IN CASH BEFORE that they deliver my things to me, otherwise they would not download anything, therefore they were paid $500, (the rest of the $1700), when they gave me my items at night, the low light did not allow me to see anything abnormal, without However, I counted the total of the 12 boxes and the other items that had to arrive according to the inventory; 2 days later, I started opening some boxes to look for certain items and I was surprised that the box with the Gucci boots and the box with the Gucci bag were not in box number 7, all the Gucci items were placed in that box, ( the strap was not stolen because it was under a box of Adidas sneakers), in that box were also the Armani Exchange sneakers, without a box; I noticed that those sneakers were stolen on March 3, since that day I moved to my apartment and I can unpack all the boxes and those shoes were gone. (I only had two pairs of that brand, which my boyfriend gave me as a gift), I found only one pair. When I communicated to Mr. Michael Scott about what happened, he informed me that he had to make a claim by calling the number 877-476-5983; ext 5, then the company Stella from Top Rated Moving Van Lines called me and informed me that I did not have full coverage insurance, which THEY NEVER OFFERED ME, and that I should wait for the response of the claim. I made the claim on February 16, 2023 (Claim ID#: 2022-10082) and the response was that they would not respond with anything. How could I check if my things were there or not if they FORCED me to pay before putting everything down when they arrived in Fort Lauderdale. I made the police report on February 20, the DOC number is 02-2302-1937. From then on, neither Mr. Michael Scott answers nor responds with anything, also by analyzing the reviews on Google I notice that the same thing has happened to other people with this company, but there is no way to contact them. read more

I used this company for long distance moving from Queens NY to NC in August. It was the worst!! They showed up late at night and did not have enough room to store all of my furniture and left behind my dressers and other items that were on my list to be moved then wanted to charge me more to come back and move them. When I complained they threaten to not return my deposit whether I went with their service or not. The manager did not care with her salty attitude towards me and outrageous threats!!Then once I got to NC they charged me an additional $300 to move my belongings to my house and then threaten to hold my furniture if I did not pay them the additional fee. They are crooks!! They are not registered with the better business bureau so you can't complain... now I know why. DON'T USE THEM... Service, Quality and Value sucks!! Be ware! I would not recommend this service to anyone! Nothing but a headache and money paid for nothing!!! $3,000 down the drain!! read more

I'm a victim of fraud committed by one of the interstate moving services. A week ago I signed an agreement with a moving service company where the total cost of moving was $1865.00. The payment term was to pay that service 50% of the total cost upfront while signing the agreement, 25% on pickup, and 25% on delivery. I paid the company $$967.01 during the singing. While making the estimation I was expecting someone from the company should come to do an inspection of the overall belongings I have but without doing that they asked for an inventory list from me. I provided them listing all the things I'm moving with. The day before the pickup, the moving driver called me to confirm the time. We agreed on a time for picking up on the next day and it was at around 2:00pm. But next day, on the day of pickup, at 7:00am the driver called me to say that he has to come early as he has busy schedule for that day. He came at his desired time aroung 9:00am. Just after parking the big truck, he started mentioning me about the additional cost of picking up like the long distant pickup (I live in an apartment and he park his truck like 30 feet away of my aparment + aparment main entrance to elevator 20 feet + elevator cost + elevator to my unit another 20 feet cost) Somehow he showed me an estimation of 75 feet pickup distance and elevator cost. And for that he gave me an estimation an additional $300 on top of my costal agreed cost. Then he started exploring my belongings and finally he gave me a new fixed price of $4927.00 When I started arguing he then gave me an offer of reducing $300 on the total cost as a catesy. He then started telling me if I don't give him $4960 on spot to him, he will not start pickup and If I don't agree to pay the amount then I have to cancel the agreement without any refund. I then call the person who I spoke with while getting all the informaion and their company terms and conditions. The way he replied that he is very much sympethitic about my situation, he will talk with his manager and promised me that he will call me back. But he never called me and as I'm calling him, no one respond and call goes to his voice mail. I am making compalaints to the authorities and want a rectification on this. And I don't want anybody to go through this traumatic situation and want athority to take actions against this company. I've kept all the convisation using emails, company quote, my payment reciept, the drivers own hand written new fixed cost that he demanded even before started picking up my staffs. I need your cognitive advise on this, please. read more

Warning: DO NOT HIRE TOP RATED MOVING VAN LINES. I recently assisted my elderly parents with a big cross country move from our family home in New York, to two different locations - Las Vegas and Southern California. I did my research and interviewed 6 different companies, and my parents had interviewed one as well. So when we chose Top Rated Moving Van Lines (TRMVL), we certainly did not expect the level of deception and completely unprofessional service provided. The following is our experience, and advice on choosing a moving company if you must. I say if you must, because my suspicion is that many companies will be plagued by the same issues. In hindsight, I would either move only the essentials myself with a U-Haul, or use Mayflower. The details are provided below, but the main points are: * The initial quote was severely underestimated, resulting in more than 50% increase in final cost. This was the fault of the company because they underestimated (I believe intentionally) the cubic feet of our furniture in order to garner our business. Our final inventory was in fact less that was we originally provided, yet we ended up paying 50% more. We would have paid that same amount going with two other companies who provided higher but accurate estimates - but they steal business by scamming customers with these deceptive quotes. ***Get an IN-PERSON estimate. * Original contract means nothing - states that the quote is "binding" to the inventory, but it was in fact more despite the final inventory being LESS than the original. And you have no power the day of the move, unless you have a money tree, because they give you the final cost only after the truck is loaded, and if you don't agree, they threaten to unload it and leave on the driveway and make you PAY to have them unload it, and you still have to find a way to MOVE it! ***Get a real BINDING estimate - final cost does not move up or down once you sign the contract. * Deceptive and fraudulent sales tactics - do not trust Daniel Adams; he sounds very patient and understanding, but he is truly a con artist. He claims that the company is a direct carrier and not a broker. All that means is that they own their own trucks, but they have zero accountability for the service they provide and ABSOLUTELY broker their services out to other drivers/movers. He basically ghosted us after we signed the contract and provided zero support during the move. * Utter lack of communication with dispatch regarding delivery dates and tracking of our property. Doris is the main dispatch agent and she would say she was not available in the middle of the day, hung up on us, or just didn't respond. We left $70,000 worth of our property with this company, and they could never tell us where exactly the truck was en route, or give a reasonable estimate of its arrival. * Unprofessional communication when we were at all able to speak to the main dispatch agent, Doris. * Only ONE MOVER at our Vegas location on the day of delivery, more than doubling the delivery time. All of this tracks with the owner Steve who clearly does not care about the service he provides. We asked to speak with him and he apparently told the foreman he "does not deal with customers." Funny - how can you run a business and not be interested in your customers' experience? The only positive experience we had was with the foreman who picked up our property and the movers, who were generally polite and efficient. Our property did arrive mostly intact with few damages, over one month after the initial pickup. While I understand the complexity of coordinating a cross country move, the lack of communication and reassurance was extremely stressful, especially for my elderly parents. The people who work in this business are not decent, do not trust them with your property. In retrospect, I would have sold what I could, and either junked or transported the rest myself. read more

ZERO STARS DO NOT USE! I used this company to move from NY to GA. I will state that it was not all bad but what was bad, was brutal. The process to hire them went well. I dealt with Dave Ramsey and her was polite and thorough when he was looking for my business. They were very accommodating in setting up the date and arrangements. I gave him my preliminary list and he quoted a price of $1964.00. The whole shipment was primarily boxes/bins. There were 2 bookshelves and 2 end tables. I had to charge my deposit of $996 before we could schedule the pick up. The movers showed up on a Monday - on time - and were very quick and polite. I was told I went over my allocated square footage and had to pay an additional 180.00 via Zelle then. I had already paid a 50% deposit and 50% of the balance - which was now $572.00 via Zelle on pick up day. The remining balance of $ 572.00 needed to be paid in cash upon delivery. Dave told me to tell them my expected arrival date in GA was the date I was leaving to make sure we would get there at the same time. I was not comfortable doing that as you never know what could happen. I gave my actual arrive date of Thursday. The driver, Juan said they would be there Thursday - Friday the latest. He also said they had 1 other delivery in NC that was it. Fast forward to Thursday - no delivery. I called the office to speak to Dave but he said only dispatch could help. That is where I came across the most unprofessional human being. She said she would call me back as she as waiting for the dispatcher to get her info. Same excuse every time I called - increasing the frequency by Monday to 2-3 times a day. She told me it was late because they had so many other deliveries in GA. I think they were waiting on more loads Dave was helpful in the beginning but once he got the business - that was OVER. BTW I gave exact dimensions of all my pieces and Dave said I still had room - where did that go and why isn't that person paying for it? Bottom line - I FINALLY got my stuff the following Saturday. The delivery guys were quick and polite. About 80% of my boxes/bins were destroyed but amazingly nothing was broken and I do not believe anything was missing. Not sure how but that was a blessing. If you want to see your stuff in a timely manner - DO NOT USE If you want to be abused, lied to, over charged, ignored and not get your stuff USE THEM read more

if I could give this company worse than 1 star, I would. They are liars, cheaters and corrupt. They are unethical. They hook you in with a low amount, then they increase it by the thousands. They do not return calls. If there is an issue with the delivery, they will hold your furniture hostage until you pay for the delivery. Why is this company still in business with all of the horrible reviews. The delivery guys were not experienced movers and screwed up everything to the point where my husband had to remove items from storage to place them correctly so they would fit. The delivery guys did not speak 1 word of english. We will be reporting them and suing them for their unprofessional, horrible company. This makes us very angry because companies like this are still in business. read more

It's not even so much about the missing boxes, the smashed flat screen tv ( even tho you had me pay $60 for a tv box that you didn't bring and tv still got damaged), damaged art, broken picture frames and dishes, or missing bed frame parts. It's about the fact that my Father died a few years ago and you lost the majority of the items I had left to remember him by. Pictures, personal items...HIS OBITUARY! I called you and spoke with a woman. SHE offered to issue a refund of my deposit ( which couldn't even begin to replace the items you didn't deliver or the ones you handled so carelessly)! I always try to see the positive side of things but to then find out my deposit refund was denied. It's disheartening to know that after everything I have been thru in the past few years, and everything this country has just gone thru. That there are still people out there scamming, scheming, and treating others with so little respect. There is NO INTEGRITY with this business and it breaks my heart to know that others relocating to start a new life will make the nightmare mistake of using this moving company!! read more

If I could give them A 0would this company is the biggest scam going. They hired out... I had thousands of dollars in damage. I was "quoted a price of 3800 for the move and it came to almost 10000 not including damages. After they put my things in the drove away and I had to pay another 4000 to get my things back. I have hired an attorney and I plan on posting this company to the Better Business Bureau of the Tri-state area and every review site I can find. I have tried to work with them. This company is the biggest scam artist. I will be posted Posting on every review site I can. I am pressing charges to the fullest extent of the law. If you have been scammed by them please contact me cause we are also putting together a class action suit read more

DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY UNLESS you want your property stolen and broken. I had a one bedroom apartment moved from New Jersey to Texas. When I received my boxes, I checked them with the original inventory of boxes and was complete. However, when I had the time time to go through the boxes to get some things out, I noticed a one or two things missing. Then I started going through all boxes and noticed I was missing way more that were packed. Including complete professional camera set, valuable cologne, 5 gallon coin bank and more.... Not to mention the items that were broken during transport due to poor packing techniques. Highly disgusted with this company. My compensation was $48. NOT!!! Taking this matter to court... And these guys even asked for a tip before leaving too... read more

I have to admit I was skeptical it started by putting my number on some website and getting 9 million phone calls. Most of the people call me were very aggressive and rude I am ultimately got a call from a Guy named Mike Scott. Mike was very patient With my grandmother and me. I was nervous To say the least top rated moving to great care of us things Arrived in a timely manner. The price I was quoted from the beginning was the price I paid not a dollar more. Steve and his crew were very professional they made this very stressful move a cakewalk 10 out of 10 would recommend thank you top rated. read more

Omg. Worst experience ever! I was quoted through broker America's Moving and Storage a total fee of $2886 for my move from Pennsylvania to Florida. I paid $1147 deposit up front, before anything had been done. The day of pick up, I somehow, miraculously, unbeknownst to me, went over inventory quote by 325 cu feet! I included in my initial inventory multiple pieces of furniture that I ended up not bringing -- so how did I go over?!?! No one could explain it to me. Then, they want a tip on top. So after they pack my belongings, they now want an additional $2000 for the extra cubic feet!!!! So I tell them to unload the truck. They say that will cost me $250 an hour for the time they have already been there plus unloading time. So in essence, I'm screwed and they know it. THEN, the driver says, we have your stuff and you won't get it back til you pay $2400!!!! Now my belongings are being held for ransom -- not an exaggeration, the mover used that word himself. So I let them take my stuff. It's to be delivered 12/17. 12/25 I get a call from a mover named Alex, that they will be there tomorrow between noon and 5pm however, now get this, they want me to pay for a shuttle to move my stuff because their truck is too big and too heavy for the road I live on. I am livid by this point. I know I'm not getting all my stuff back and I told them to come up with another option because I am not paying one more penny on this move. They tell me due to the bricks on the road, the truck is too heavy and either I get a U-Haul OR they shuttle. I got confirmation that the street will be fine, so I tell them to bring the truck, and unload it! During all this time I have an incomplete bill of lading and Doris from Top Rated had nothing to say about it, Shanea from America's Moving said everything is ok. I realize now, all of these things are part of the scam. I am dreading this interaction tomorrow because I know half my stuff will be missing and they will want a tip! No way. I am so pissed off and this company is a scam!!! Stay away!!!! read more
