My favorite nail salon now offers facials! Sign me up!! I got my nails done and a moisturizing facial that I needed so badly. The weather has been brutal lately. First it's cold, rainy and then nearly 80°. Get ready for summer and pamper yourself. I always receive quality service. The owners are Ken and Amy, plus a team of hard working nail technicians. Their salon is located in the City of Covina, there is ample free parking, near Carl's Jr. They are open 7 days a week, which will certainly fit into anyone's schedule. The salon has a calming and inviting ambiance, making it a great place to unwind and pamper yourself. The prices are very competitive, offering great value for the quality of service provided. The salon is impeccably clean and well-organized, creating a comfortable and hygienic environment. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. They offer a wide range of nail services, including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, and nail art, catering to diverse needs and preferences. I've been coming to this nail salon for about four years now, but I think it's officially time for a change. I recently came in for a fill and gel pedicure and, unfortunately, left feeling very disappointed. During my pedicure, I asked the technician to remove an ingrown toenail. Not only was it not done properly, but she also removed excessive skin, which left my toe irritated, burning, and even bleeding. It's also clear that not all of the staff are properly trained in ingrown removals, as I've noticed some of them will refuse and have someone else step in--which honestly doesn't inspire much confidence. To make things worse, this same technician didn't know how to do a basic French tip for the pedicure and ended up having to stop mid-service to call Amy over. Amy had to leave in the middle of doing my hands just to fix my toes, which felt disorganized and unprofessional. This pedicure tech has done my feet several times before, and every single time she pinches my skin with her nails. I always have to say something, and it's just uncomfortable and tiring. As for my acrylic fill, I was getting them done by Amy (who I believe is the manager or owner). I asked for a silver chrome French tip, which I technically received--but as soon as I left, I noticed a very visible scratch on one nail and several others with air bubbles. They also were not polished properly on the sides. They honestly look sloppy, and I feel like even if I had spoken up in the moment, I would have been met with attitude or judgment--like I've seen happen to others before. To be honest, I've never been a fan of Amy's work or her attitude. She rarely greets clients or makes them feel welcome. Unfortunately, my regular tech (Kelly) was unavailable, so I had to settle--and I regret it. After four years, I realize I've gotten too comfortable here, and I'm no longer being treated like a valued client. It's time to move on and find a salon where I can feel truly taken care of again.
If I could give a negative review I would. My daughter went in to get her toes done for her birthday. The lady cut her nail wrong and made her bleed bad. Kelly kept adding some type on nail polish on her wound and my daughter told her it hurt. She did it again. Do not recommend this place.
i've gone to this place a few times to get my toes done and they usually do a good job but this time it was horrible. they had me wait about 30 mins which was fine but there was a few people just standing there doing nothing and then when the girl did start to do my toes i can tell she was being very rushed and not really happy that she had to do my toes. Long story short she didn't do my pedicure correctly and the gel immediately peeled off a few hours after i got them done, i called them back to see if they could fix it but each time i called they said they didn't have time to fix them and to come around 4pm the next day but each time i called the next day it was the same response "we don't have time come tomorrow" all i needed was 2 of my toes to be fixed but for reason they couldn't do it. definitely will not be coming back.
Love coming to this nail spot when I'm in the area :) Mimi did my hard gel mani and it came out so good! Sometimes when I get hard gel at other spots, it comes out looking on the thicker side but Mimi took her time and really made it look thin and natural. Lala did my pedi and was the one who helped me pick the color! Turned out so cute loveee it ! Also get my brows waxed here too 10/10 !!
I am so disappointed at this place. I was cut getting a manicure and a pedicure. But when I sent my daughter to get pedicure's and I found out they cut my daughter also and made her bleed that's when I decided they could not have my business. I always tip good even the times when we were cut and bleeding. I sorry to say that looks can be deceiving. The place is admirable, beautiful place clean and pretty. Even the people are polite. But to be cut and bleed without any kind of sorry is just bad service.

I have been getting Gel Nails for quite some time and I have had Dip Nails suggested to me, but I always thought they looked too thick. Today, that all changed! My nails were damaged due to years and years of gel manicures , and Nancy noticed how thin they were. She advised me that it was best to go the Dip route, as it would be healthier for my nails in the long run. I was wary at first, but after seeing how much attention to detail she spent to my nails, I was convinced it was time to finally try Dip. Best decision ever. They look GORGEOUS and I'm so grateful for Nancy! Can't wait to go back soon for another Dip Manicure! read more

I used to love coming here, but after today i'm good. The nail tech was very sweet and did the shape perfectly. The french tip tho i cannot say the same. Two other nail tech tried to help out but they did absolutely nothing. Redid one nail just to have it looking different from the rest. I asked to make the edges pointy and not stumpy. Did not get what i asked for and spent 2hrs and 30 mins. For 80 dollars definitely NOT WORTH IT. SO SAD!!! read more

This was my first time so unhappy I went for a fill and it took at lest 3 tries to get it right the man who did it cut my finger more than 5 times he made fun of my last set he let me leave with bumpy ugly unfinished work my nail polish was super THICK I felt like because I wasn't a regular I didn't get treated well I got HIT IN THE FACE MORE THAN ONCE WITH A LADIES CRUSTY REAL NAILS WORST NAIL SALON I HAVE EVER BEEN TO NAILS ON LA treated with more respect!!! Never again PERIODT the second man who fixed really did a good job. Firstly I want to say this place is not worth your time and most importantly your money. I know with Covid prices have gone up and I always remind myself to be understanding but with that being said one thing is raising your prices and another one is giving bad customer service and do whatever you want. Had a pedicure and the lady was so ruff and in a hurry. I expressed my pain to her and she continued to hurt me with out a care to doing the most basic cleaning to hurry up and finish. Also did a full set and specifically request almond shape nails short. As a result got super pointy nails that took half of my side nails so bad had to cut then down to avoid scratching my toddler. I expressed to the "manager" my concerns and he was not willing to fix the problem or refund me my money. read more

This was my first time ever visiting this nail shop and I have to say I was not disappointed! The wait was a little long, but they were very busy and I didn't have an appointment. I got dip powder for the first in "nude pink" and I love it! It goes right over my own nails so minimal damage and lots of strength. It looks so good. Ken did such a good job and I will absolutely be coming back. New go to salon for sure! ***UPDATE*** I got my nails done on Sunday, 10 FEB 19, and today is Tuesday, 12 FEB 19, and my middle finger nail already chipped. I wear gloves whenever I am doing any kind of work with chemicals so that I don't disturb the polish or in this case, the powder. It has only been 2 days and the corner already came off. I was told that they would last two weeks. I'm not sure that I would try to get the dip powder nails again since it didn't last. read more

I'm so glad I found this place! Went in with my sister looking for gel acrylic nails for us both after calling about ten different locations and visiting other four that ended up being closed due to COVID. The two women who attended us charged us $47 each and were really polite. Didn't find out until I got home that they offer a coupon through Yelp check in, but it would have come in handy! I'm giving 2 stars because people were nice. I got my nails done Thursday. I sit down and I tell Kim what I want. Marble design. I showed Kim a picture. She says, it'll be similar but not exact. I say okay because of course it can't be exact. She gives me my price, $25. I think, wow what a great price. After she finished the white coat she started with the black. Right away I knew this was her first time doing marble. She applied thick black lines on the first hand. By the second hand she figured it out. Thank god by the last nail, my pinky, she got what she was doing under control. From far away people compliment my nails, and I only let them look at the pinky. Some people think they're thunder bolts or smoke. HA! Anyways, I go to pay and Amy tells me $68. I thought this was because I was paying for my sister in laws nails as well. She got a cat eye effect and I figured it costs more than your typical design since both our artwork choices were time consuming, so I pay for it. It wasn't until the next day that my sis in law tells me she thought she paid for mine and she paid $53. I asked her how much they told her it would be and she says, they said $25 for me also. So we've tried to message Amy on instagram to ask her what the price break down was and she won't respond. I'm pretty disappointed. I paid $68 for what? Someone to practice marble design on me after she quoted me $25? Not cool. I'm underwhelmed. I won't be back. read more

I have come to this place a couple of times to see jc and she was amazing but when I came on a day she wasn't there the other nail techs treated me and my sister so bad and did my nails so horrible and hurt me so bad I cried and left I will never come back I still paid and tipped them out because i believe in karma. sorry jc love ur work but Amy her husband and 2 other techs were talking bad about me and my sister in there language they wanted to do my nails the way they wanted not the way I wanted and I google translated and the things they said and its not nice! The time before that when I saw jc the other tech told me to do my nails their way and jc spoke up for me and told the tech to do the nails my way and the tech listened to her y is it that when jc is there u listen but when she's not u all act so ridiculous. The good: The staff and techs are kind and sincere, especially Ken & Amy. Clients are greeted with a cool beverage and even a snack if there is a wait. They do good work at affordable prices. This was my first trip there, I got the signature pedicure with gel polish, a full set with gel polish, matte top coat, and some stones. The update: Less than 24 hours after my visit, 2 stiles fell off and the matte polish became tainted and discolored (for lack of a better word). I wouldn't suggest getting the matte. read more

All the employees are very nice. This was our 1st time here. My nails are ok. The length is perfect but the quality just isn't there. You can see the different layers/ coats that were applied, my nails just aren't smooth. Ken did my cousins nails & those came out amazing, they looked like her natural nails, smooth & very clean. I will be back but will definitely ask for ken or his wife next time around. Im new to the area & have been wanting to find that permanent go-to spot for my nails - hoping this can be the place. *my nails are the photos with the light colored nail polish, my cousins nails are the darker colored nail polish 08/01/2018 Went back today, & ken, amy & helen were amazing. They really care about what their customers want & provided great service today for my cousin & I. The fill, the color, the length, everything was just perfect. Helen did amazing on my pedi too! Came in for pedicures for my moms birthday and we got the signature pedi and the deluxe pedi. The whole experience was delightful and relaxing. The hot stone massage included in both was wonderful and my mom really enjoyed the hot wax treatment included in the deluxe. Shout out to our nail techs Kim and Nina for doing an incredible job. The place is also very clean and have covid procedures in place such as temp checks and plastic dividers. We will definitely be coming back! read more

i've been coming here whenever ive been in town, and would spend at the very least 70 dollars on my nails for manicure and pedicure with gel. this time i came back to see if i could get my nails repaired because the gel here never lasts and they told me they only fix it after 3 days when they falsely advertise their gel lasts longer than polish when clearly it doesn't. this is my nails after just 5 days *****follow up and comment to ken q ***** first, as i said it was 5 days my nails were peeling before the day i came in my gel was already coming off by friday the week of my manicure. show all the video footage you want but i came before two weeks and you guarantee gel for two weeks--the woman in your salon do at the very least.... its clear that you and the women in your salon falsely advertise the crappy quality gel. there is no reason why i should spend over 20 dollars for a half ass manicure and gel that last 1 week.. i work everyday of the week and don't have time to keep coming back because the work done is terrible. (which is why i didn't come until recently). either way, whether i came 3 days or 6 days late you should honor the fact that your work didn't last a week. i would watch how you speak to customers because they pay you. my mother comes into your shop and spends 100+ dollars eack time and she doesn't receive worthy treatment. this is why shes already found another shop- overall, fixing my gel would have been a 10 dollar job and you've lost out on nearly 200 dollars biweekly between my mom and i. your business is: cheap falsely advertised and you are a rude cheapskate all of you in that shop are lol. ******andi for the first time between all of the crappy shops i've been to--i do not recommend this salon to anybody! this salon and the work they do is not worth a single penny. ********** read more

I'm so disappointed with my last visit 3 days ago. My nails came out really nice; however, my toe nail now has a bad infection and the side of my foot is scraped pretty bad. When Amy pulled out my ingrown I immediately started bleeding. I knew instantly that she went way too deep. She poured hydrogen peroxide and the other lady went on to finish my toe nails. Also, I chose the callus removal package. NOTE THAT THEY USE THE SAME TOOL ON EVERYONES FOOT. Super unsanitary and I'm sure there are laws against that. The lady scraped the side of my foot way to rough and it ended up cutting me. For what they charge, I expect them to use brand new products every time. I don't ever see them clean their tools. I definitely recommend going somewhere else where you know that their tools are thoroughly sanitized. read more

Today I confirmed an appointment with Amy because I know her quality of work and I knew she could give me the type of manicure I wanted. Unfortunately when I arrived to my appointment she was finishing up a client and had another client she was taking after me. So they tell me to wait and sit down for just a bit, next thing you know this older woman is removing my gel polish and they're like "oh she can do it she'll do a good job" and force her on me and she's already starting to do my nails without my approval. First, she cuts my nails way too short and I had been growing them for weeks so I could get a nice long French manicure. Instead they were left uneven, splotchy, short, and nail polish that was applied too thick. The older woman was nice and trying to reassure me that she was going to do a good job but they just look bad and aren't what I wanted what so ever. I tried telling her several times but she just kept saying no no they'll be fine. I paid $40 for these nails and am very disappointed. Had they kept their appointment with me for Amy as they confirmed I wouldn't have had this issue. read more

This was my first visit to Top Pro Nails. I had a biogel manicure with gel on top from a different nail salon and didn't want to continue with the biogel upkeep. Ken was super awesome, friendly & helpful. He guided me through removing the biogel. I showed him a picture of a yelp review from their site of the mani I liked (dip powder #037) and he did them perfectly! Nice & thin, but still strong, compared to some other salons who pile the powder on thick. I added the silver stripe decals onto my ring finger for only $5 more. $35 in total (compared to $50 I was paying at other salons). So happy with the results! I went to this place today, I got a pedicure and a full set. I'm very happy with my pedicure. However my nails are another story I asked for gel coffin medium length nails. The lady kept pushing for power ombré nails that are more expensive after I told her no a few times she looked annoyed and worked on my nails super fast. They are uneven and have very sharped tips. They are also not shaped well. I was expecting to get a nicer set for the price. Definitely not going back there or at least not with the same lady. read more

Ahh amazing team and experience here. I love my nails so much. I did light lavender ombre dip powder with gel on top. I also got a pedicure and oh my it was an amazing experience. The prices are reasonable. I will definitely be coming back. The team here is really nice. I had Kim do my manicure and Dona did my pedicure. They were super gentle and patient with me.
