Absolutely impeccable service. I recently purchased my kid an '11 Mustang and the leather panels on the inside of the doors had come off (I've discovered this is a typical problem with Mustangs). The dealership agreed to repair them as part of the purchase, unfortunately they didn't have an upholstery service to actually perform the work so they had a trim guy do his best... and that best was the worst. They essentially tried to scrape the underlining foam and then glued the same material back over top. There was glue left all around the trim of the panel and the texture of the panel itself was an eye sore, extremely lumpy and hard looking because of the adhesive used. The work was almost embarrassing for others to see and it was really putting a damper on the excitement of our car purchase. I took the car by a couple of upholstery places to get quotes and Kenny offered the best rate plus my son was smitten on the idea of having the Mustang emblem embroidered into the panel. It took about a week from paying the deposit to get the panels back from the embroidery shop and to get our car scheduled for the work. We just picked up the car from Top Notch and the difference in quality is like night and day. Top Notch completely elevated the look of the interior. In all it cost me just under $480 for both doors to be redone, about $200-300 less than most other shops quoted me. They do charge a 3.5% card fee for payment so try to stick to cash or check if possible, but I'll be singing their praises for a while! Highly recommended! read more

Ken, Cora, and their team, are true craftsman! They started their auto upholsterry company over 30 years ago, and the experience and expertise they've gained along the way really shows! They replaced the roof liner on my 2004 Xterra (which apparently is a fairly common problem). And although it may have been a simpler job for them (and no doubt quite messy) they finished it as if my old Xterra was going to a show room floor! (hopefully the pictures I attached showed up!) Really excellent fit and finish, and excellent color match. And at a very competitive price. They also showed me some custom leather seats and logo stitching they were doing for someone else restoring a vintage car back to glory--amazing work--like you see on the TV shows. And duly noted should I need superior one-off work on a future labor of love. Also noted, Ken and Cora are old-school salt-of-the-earth really good, earnest people! Super nice, and just a treat to have a short chat with. Like excellent doctors in high-demand though, one must be a little patient with scheduling to get to see them. My ford 2007 Expedition bottom front seats were torn and worn from age and heat here in AZ. After looking for bottom seat covers for years in the correct color, I finally found them. Made an appointment with Top Notch upholstery after calling around. He was the only one who mentioned that the sides of my seats were probably flat and sagging because the phone is old. He suggested that we let him also replace the foam around the top sides of the seat add a cost of about $80 extra per seat. His price was not cheap for the whole job but my car is important and we agreed because we felt we would get really good quality work. He did not disappoint us at all! He replace the foam put our seat covers on and I am sure there was a lot of hooking up inside to do because we have the power cushion inside the seat. Everything works wonderful and the seats were beautifully done. It is worth the extra money. It cost us approximately $400 to get them done but well worth it if you want to take nice care of your car. We highly recommend them for the great job they did. read more

This shop did the soft top for my 2006 Miata. What I previously had was an OEM vinyl soft top with serious rips, which was replaced with a Robin's cloth top by Top Notch Upholstery. There was a manufacturer issue that caused the newly replaced top to rip. I was nervous about calling the shop about this because this is that classic moment that separates an honest shop from a shady shop. Top Notch Upholstery took the car in, accepted to fix the tear without any push back or guilt whatsoever, and this was despite the shop having to bite the bullet and buy another soft top themselves due to the irreparable rip. This place is incredible to work with! I had a tear in my back seat that I had them repair. When I first went in for a quote, I was greeted by the employees and they immediately stopped what they were doing to look at my car. They explained the process, how long it would take to receive the fabric that needed to be ordered and my quote. This is a busy shop! While I waited, they guys talked to me and explained other projects they were working on, you could tell they loved their jobs and the quality of work is amazing. After receiving a few other quotes, I decided to go with Top Notch Upholstery and I'm so glad I did. They ordered the fabric and it arrived in about a week. They called me, I arrived at the shop to drop off my seat (they offered this so I wasn't without my vehicle) and I was called the next day to pick it up. When I arrived to pick up my seat, not only was the work they did perfect, they also went ABOVE AND BEYOND. They washed ALL the fabric of the seat, even the part that wasn't being repaired and removed the stains that were there, for no additional charge. My entire back seat looks brand new. I couldn't be happier with the work that they did. Hopefully I never have another tear in my seat, but if I ever need anything done to one of my vehicles again, I will most definitely be returning to them. About a year ago I took my 2015 Ford Expedition EL in to Top Notch Uphosltery to have the drivers seat reupholstered. They replaced the foam under the leather and did a quality job for a fair price . However the foam that was used quickly wore out and needed to be redone so I decided to come back . I came in and spoke to Ken and he did not remember me . He seemed to not be in a cheerful mood and was not very pleasant. He ended up quoting me $440 to have the seat reupholstered and it only needed one small section of the leather replaced. This price was very very high. When I told him I thought it was a high price he said well we have a lot of leather jobs to do meaning I guess I don't really need your business. So I took my business to another local upholstery shop and got the job done for $250 almost half of what I would have paid to bring it here and the job was better . read more

I am disgusted with these guys. My experience is that the owner "Kenny" is a crook (that my opinion). First I was told a minor repair (1 piece of leather) would be about $170 or so including $65 for the leather. I paid $1000 at the dealer to get the whole interior cover in leather so $170 seemed a little high anyway. Then I pick up my car and he charges me $233. Note: In my 45 years of getting Auto repairs the cost is usually 1/2 parts and 1/2 labor. He charged roughly $65 for parts and $170 for labor, twice as much as it should be, and about $70 more than he said when I first asked "how much". Since I don't trust this beady eyed bozo I'll say this is my opinion and my recollection. He will never get another dime out of me.. AFTER this occurred, and I paid, he became aware I planned on posting a review. Then he seemed to decide he was concerned. I felt changing my review at that time would not be right whether it would save me money or not. My position is treat people as you would want to be treated BEFORE the fact, not after. read more

I had Top Notch recover my headliner, sun visors and moon roof slider in my Tahoe. The factory fabric was falling off the front of the headliner due to age. HOWEVER he is a cranky old man who thinks he knows it all and will not work with you - Eg: Just recover a seat on a truck you're reselling as cheaply as possible. Used this shop to redo the center armrest in my Nissan Titan. They gave me a fair quote and said they were booked solid but could have it ready in a few days.
