As President of the Village at Gum Springs HOA I led the decision to switch to Blade Runners in 2018 and would do it again without question. At the beginning of any new relationship there will be misunderstandings and adjustments that need to be worked out. When we were unsure of something or had a concern our account manager, Karen, was prompt, professional and patient. Communicating with Karen was very easy and helped us to determine the types of services that would best serve our community. On more than one occasion she would come to the community and walk the grounds with the HOA Board. She would identify plant types that could prevent erosion/flooding, point out trees that were healthy or in need of assistance and offer suggestions on how to improve the overall aesthetics of our community. I could tell she genuinely cared about our community and the service her company provided. At the conclusion of our walkthroughs we received a breakdowns with several options of services and improvements that we could use to improve the worn down and drab areas in our community. The following year we decided to move forward and expand our services with Blade Runners and the result was more than we could have imagined. During the spring of 2019 our community won the "Southeast Fairfax Development Corporation" award for residential beauty! This was the first time our community received an award for anything and we owe it to the hard work from the Blade Runners team. We look forward to working with Blade Runners in the future and hopefully to win another award or two! ~Arlan A., President VGS HOA

I have had a 40ft dead maple tree in my back yard for several years. After many talks with my…read moreneighbor (who felt it would someday fall right through his roof), I finally decided to see who could remove it and how much it would cost, etc. Long story short ... I wanted to find a company who is relatively local (i.e., support my community). The first company I called, a very reputable one (who shall remain nameless), called me back and told me that due to just how dead the tree was, they would not take the job. Too much liability they said. I was surprised because I was thinking "Don't MOST tree removals involve trees that are pretty dead?". I asked this company what I should do now, and they said just to keep calling people until someone said yes. So, my next step was to go to Yelp. Thank goodness for Yelp! On 22 October, I get on Yelp and happened upon Hedy's review of All American - which was written just the day before! I called All American and Maggie answered the phone. She told me she believed All American can do the job and told me that Matt and Mike will come by my house to look at the tree within a day. Sure enough, Matt and Mike showed up in less than 24 hours. They figured out what needed to be done and gave me a reasonable quote on the spot. Two days later, Matt, Mike and two more guys showed up with a massive crane, a big truck and chainsaws. Like surgeons, the crew removed the tree piece by piece. What was impressive was not only the big machines, trucks and chainsaws, but also their attention to how to do the job safely and intelligently. Two days later, Tony came in to grind up the stump. I don't foresee having any tree issues in the near future (well ... I hope not). But if I did I'd just go straight to All American Lawn and Tree Service - a very experienced, competent, hard-working crew who also happen to provide great customer service (i.e., the little things like answering the phone, answering my nit-picky questions, etc.). Thanks again, Maggie, Matt, Mike and rest of the All-American crew! Marc

I had asked them to take down half of one tree (with 2 large trunks), but they advised to just trim several of the branches from one side to make sure we kept the tree alive, which made perfect sense. They were referred to me and were able to give me a fair price and got the work done in the same day. I had called several companies and All American was the clear choice. Mike and Matt are top notch and do whatever it takes to make the customer happy. They even came back to take down one more tree limb that I forgot to point out to them. They really saved me as I was in a time crunch as I needed to have DirecTV install a new dish.

Sierra's tree Service removed four trees for us a few days ago…read more We are most interested in quality of service -- especially these days when quality is difficult to find. First, they were prompt, and were here when they said the would be (5 stars) Second, they were professional, and offered actual guidance other than, "Yeah, we can do that. " Third, price was fair. Fourth, Arturo of Sierra's had suggestions for the future. He and his people have extensive knowledge of the local area, and how to prepare for the future growth of our yard which is heavily wooded. Fifth, their arrival was prompt and they were very well-equipped. Sixth: Insurance is readily available, and safety protocols were followed. Any concerns were quickly alleviated. One tree was enormous, around seventy feet, and with ropes, the climber excuded such confidence as not to worry us. There was a great deal of clean-up, and I felt they would have to come back the next day. But, Arturo ensured us they would power through. Though it took until sunset, and basically all day, the job was finished as he said it would be. We have more work to do, and we'll no doubt be incorporating Sierra & their crew. The teamwork was seamless and safe, and I trust their opinion how to best use this land & property. I've dealt with those companies, as many have, where I'd like the opportunity to give even fewer than one star. Sierra's, in my experience, I could give even better than five. I don't give these kind of reviews lightly: these are people I would recommend highly, as in the future I intend to contact them directly. I just can't imagine better work, nor better service.

They showed up late, when they decided to show up, and seemed more interested in their phones than in doing any actual work. What little work they did manage to complete was sloppy, rushed, and nothing close to what was agreed upon. The yard looked worse when they left than when they arrived. Uneven edging, random patches of dead grass, and plants that looked like they were dug out of someone else's trash pile. When I brought my concerns to the owner, he was dismissive, rude, and acted like I was the problem for expecting professionalism. Communication was a nightmare, deadlines were ignored, and the "finished" product was embarrassing. I ended up hiring another company to redo almost everything they touched, at double the cost. Save yourself the frustration, time, and money. Do NOT hire this company under any circumstances. You'll regret it the moment they step onto your property.
