Republic Homes

These people are far worse than a used car dealership. They lie about everything. We ordered a…read morecustom home. During the time that we waited for it to be built, Republic Homes changed managers three times. Two were fired for illegal activity. The "coordinator," Tabi will tell us anything just to get off the phone. She called the first week of December to let us know the home was on its way. After a week, we called the actual manufacturer (Franklin Homes). He said it was sitting in their lot, awaiting new cabinets that were damaged. It finally arrived December 16th. We told Tabi because she was unaware and freaking out. Why? Because the home would go to their lot, then another crew would bring it to our property. She didn't have room on the property, as if that was our problem. The crew to remove the wheels & place on blocks were there the next day (December 17th) and did a great job. Then everything came to a screeching halt because of Christmas. Tabi stated that the HVAC had been installed on January 13th. We're living in a small travel trailer on the property. NOBODY has been on the property since December 17th. The Franklin Homes crew to finish out the home arrived on January 14th. They're doing a great job. However, without the HVAC installed, the mud isn't drying, so they can't paint. The crew manager came and asked us if we could get Republic Homes to move faster in getting the HVAC installed because Tabi was full of excuses. (They're busy because of the cold weather). If Republic Homes didn't subcontract with the lowest bidder, they could get immediate results. Tabi then called, chewed us out for, "bothering the crew," and interfering with her job. At this point we're ready to call Franklin (the manufacturer) and have them put a fire under Republic Home's workers. Once Republic Homes makes the sale, they just don't care about the customer at all. This is a $260,000 home, so Republic Homes made a huge profit off of us, yet treats us like dirt. Run far from Republic Homes! I would give it zero stars, but that's not possible.

The sales Destiny and Lindsey were very professional and tried to repair a bad situation. They did…read moreexpress that they are trying to rebuild this company. HOWEVER, found a home and offered $135,000 for it. Brand new it would have been a $200,000 home. Brandy excepted our offer for cash at $135,000. That was at 3pm. We told her we were two hours away, but we were on our way to give them the money. We drove two hours to show up and be told that another sales person Bailey just took check from another couple as we were there and our home was sold to someone else. It was put you literally passed each other. They said to make it up to us they would find us something at our $135,000 price that would make up for the home sold literally out from under us. I was furious to say the least, but I hold it in and allow them to show us other homes. I went home that night realized how upset I was. They sent a link to look at other homes on their Granbury lot. We find one home the Atlus, that we feel would make up for us driving two hours out of our way and the emotional upset of showing up with a verbal agreement that we were buying The Maverick at $135,000. To have it sold while we are on the lot standing in the home waiting for our sales person to make the transaction. To be told that they can't do that because that is a $200,000 home. When on Saturday they were going to do whatever they needed to salvage the sale. I already came to my conclusion that they could have done the right thing and stop the other couple and apologized, explaining that they already entered a verbal agreement with us to.sale us this home.and that we had drove two hours and were there with the money to buy the home. They should.have shown them other homes to.salvage that sale. Or called us before we drove two hours with our nine year old to say they were selling it to.someone else, but they could not do that because this all took place while we were there. We were told it was a mistake and a fluke thing that happened. I have my doubts... The GM could have stepped in at anytime instead outpacing the front porch and sending us straight to the home to look at it again and then sending Lindsey to break the news... As I have more time to consider what happened I feel she knew when we walked up this was happening and she didn't want us in the office while this other couple was in there. I also.think they sold it for the price of $138,888 that it was marked down to before they excepted our $135,000 offer. We have decided to go with another company that has a five star review and has a reputation of standing by their word and seems to communicate better with staff andclients. I would consider tbis if shopping for a home, because this is a personal process and a stressful. I wrote this review originally a couple of days ago. I was on Facebook marketplace today. As I am scrolling down I see a modular home that looks like the one that was sold out from under us only it is listed for $148,000 not the original $ $138,888 that it had been listed for. So I clicked on the listing to look. It and see who posted itt I saw Destiny has it listed again and not just her, I continued to look on Marketplace and the listing pops up again . Republic Homes saleperson Bailey also has itt listed again for $148,00. So it appears my intuition that they had sold it to the other people so they could make more on it was wrong and right. They made a agreement with us.. Then decided they didn't want to sell it to us for that price,. Instead of beinghonest. They let us drive two hours . This company is like walking onto a car lot. Their tactics are very much like a car salesmanship tactics. Beware of this company!!!

I wouldn't buy a dog house from Palm Harbor Homes!…read more In May'22, we bought a 2,700 Sq Ft home; delivered at the end of Sep'22. The home was damaged on delivery...a large support beam was bent when crossing the ditch line. We put the house on a residential foundation and added almost 1,800 sq ft of covered porches on the front and back. We moved into the home late Nov'22. From that point, it's taken almost a year to fix multiple issues with the home; huge bump in floor, cracks, damaged drywall, paint peeling, poor kitchen plumbing, pipe inside the laundry room broke, refrigerator leaked, damaged floor in kitchen, damaged counter top in kitchen, etc. The roof was not installed properly, nails exposed everywhere...they would only caulk the nails vs replacing the roof. The factory and office liaisons were almost completely non-responsive after the sale; escalated multiple times....all the way to Palm Harbor AND Cavco senior leadership. The coordination was impossible, since there was little or no communication. We're still having issues with cracking, ceiling marriage line is falling down, bath tile is coming off, siding is popping off, fireplace mantel was falling off, and the list goes on-and on! They sent a rep to fix the mantel and then the tech was told to stop what he was doing and leave. No follow up from Palm Harbor. So, I called factory service rep today and was told, we're now in the 2-year warranty timeframe and nothing would be done. We've been in the house 10-months. The lack of quality and workmanship coupled with level of Palm Harbor personnel incompetence is truly astounding!

I was informed that we couldn't even see a home today when stopping by. The woman salesperson told…read moreme I needed to sit down in the office and let her decide our needs with the budget we provided. She said we could return on Saturday to see homes on our own.

Our house failed a state inspection 3 times, they took from October-December to set our HVAC unit doing below freezing days, our electrical was miswired and the 3 contractors they hired to work in our home, 2 of the 3 had never worked on homes at all and the ome that had, they hadn't paid him for 6 months. It's 2 years later I NEVER received the punchlist cosmetic items I was promised and now have had to file insurance claims against the faulty roof and house assembly on our property. Please PLEASE DO NOT let them coerce you into going with this company. Go to literally ANY OTHER manufactured home dealer, and please do your research by looking into their failed inspections with the State of Texas & their reputation with the Better Business Bureau. The staff are abysmally unprofessional and the management prides themselves with saving a buck and doing wrong by their customers contractors and company. They get to use Legacy Housing As a name but they are JUST a dealer. DO NOT TRUST your next 15-30yrs to these people. Please trust me. It has been ine horrible nightmare over another. We're now having to save up for a Barndominium or Metal building as the insurance auditor just told us last week he'd be surprised this would last us 10 years. Go anywhere else...but here! Remember: if it seems too good to be true it always is and you definitely get LESS than what you pay for with Legacy Homes. SUBPAR

Contact whatever loan company they tell you they are dealing with like 21st for example. Odds are your being lied to they told us they was waiting on the loan company 21st. almost 2 weeks later i called 21st. They said legacy never called them or submitted anything to them. But legacy toll us we was denied by 21st and we need to try doing the in-house financing bad lie...if you do want a refund don't forget to send them an email asking for it. regardless of what they say send the email anyways and get proof also you will need proof that you made a payment (keep your receipt). we had a 15 day dead line to ask for the money back. keep that in mind and good luck

These guys offered me a job on the spot. I had another interview w/ another company the next day,…read moreso I asked to think about the offer. When I interviewed at the other company the next day, they told me that Homes To Go does not pay their commissions. I accepted the job anyway. I had never worked in this industry and wanted some experience. Their base pay was high enough to get trained and learn the business since I knew they did not pay commission. My manager was 2 hours late one day and 1 hour late on two days. I worked there one week. Even though she was late, she still had not applied her make-up - so every day she showed up at the office, she first applied her make-up once she got there. She "trained" me by handing me a 200 page manual and said it would take me about a week to get through it. She didn't feel things were working out - so she had her business manager fire me after 6 days of work. When I went to Indeed to review the business, they had claimed that I was never selected for the position. LIARS! BUNCH OF DIRTY ROTTEN LIARS!

They came out & viewed it along with the a man from the manufacturer, Legacy. And they refuse to make good on it because its "cosmetic".
