Just had the worst experience for a pedicure in my life at tops. Can't even believe how badly I was treated. I explained I needed the one who gave the best massage for me and my friend i went with needed it soft. Well the girl barely touched my legs and didn't touch my feet at all so I asked nicely about massaging my feet and the girl gave me total attitude and kept rolling her eyes then started talking smack to the other girl next to her doing my friend. Not only was it rushed and the worst pedicure I've ever gotten but then to be treated like that was ridiculous. I'm so disappointed and sickened by my experience with this place right now. read more

This used to be the place to go for me, but my opinion about this place went downhill. Not only do I wait forever to get service they have a terrible judgement in time on when it will be your turn. What really got me was I get a fill every two weeks and the past 3 TIMES my nails crack or chip in weird places. Literally yesterday I got them done, came in to get them fixed and made my nails worse. First off they weren't straight at all, filed down shorter than the rest, and my nails are rounded not square so this was my last and final time I step into that place. Lyn is amazing! I found TOP Nails through Yelp 1-1/2 yrs ago when I moved from AZ. I do tend to be quite fussy but then when I'm pleased there's no hesitation to compliment either. Lyn gives attention to detail. Her salon is clean and kept tidy no matter how busy they are. Lyn took care of my nails by using good products, skilled workmanship and never rushing me through in the 1-1/2 years I went there. She also gave me absolutely beautiful lash extensions and microneedled brows. I've now moved to NC and believe me, living out in the country here is even worse than up in the Northcountry as far as finding qualified people for your beauty and personal-care needs. So don't try running all over the place until you give in and try TOP Nails. Just go there first like I did. Trust the positive reviews because they are well-earned. This place was awesome! I'm new to the area and I'm picky about my nails, so undid my homework and read reviews galore. They did a wonderful job, they took their time and my pedicure was perfect. Where I'm from, pedicures range from $20-$25. This place is a smidge on the pricy side (Regular natural pedicure was $29) but well worth it and the little extras they throw in make all the difference. They have a wide range of services from waxing to several types of massages. I'll definitely be back and I'm bringing friends too! read more

Just moved here and was looking for a nice clean nail salon. Was very impressed at first with the decor and cleanliness. However, the time it took to do a pedi and gel mani was almost 2 hours. I had asked for my nails to be filed squared and some were round and others squared and the gel on my hands started peeling off that evening. My toes look like I painted them myself with a blindfold. Don't know why I even tipped. I will never go back! I had a young lady from Puerto Rico that is very depressed about being here and did nothing but mope and complain about the cold do my nails. I was there to relax and instead I was scared to death about not having enough coats for the winter by the time I left. read more

This is my fourth or fifth time here and each time I have received exceptional service. Each time I've received a pedicure, one time I've received a manicure, and today will be my second time for eyebrows. The have a lot of colors to choose from, normal polish and gel. Visited for the first time on Saturday for a full set of acrylics, place seemed nice, clean towels and tools were used. Only thing I didn't care for was the lack of conversation between the nail tech and I, thankfully they had a tv within viewing distance of I would have been just staring around the entire time. Highly recommend this salon. Brightly lit and very clean. Staff was friendly and attentive, offering both my husband and I drinks almost as soon as we stepped in. Prices are great as well. I asked for a gel manicure and my husband got a regular pedicure (with no colour) and our total was only $66. After tips we were out of there for less than $80. Most other places I've been to in the Watertown area were more expensive and didn't do as well as Top Nails. read more

I have been coming to top nails since they opened, I always make an appointment and I ALWAYS have to wait, not a huge deal as long as I have no where to be, today I had somewhere to be. so when they hadn't gotten to me after 45 mins went by without even letting me know if it was going to be a lot longer.. I finally asked how much longer, they said 15 mins I said ok I won't be able to get a pedicure then as I have somewhere to be I will do just polish. ( I really needed the pedicure, but settled for what I could get.) the lady that was going to take me was doing someone else's feet, and the customer offered to let her stop and Polish me so I could go, as Polish took 5 mins, (which was so nice of her and I told her she didn't have to do that, but she insisted) she was with a party that was going to be there for a while. I got gel Polish and was charged $30 .. mind you it's $30 for the pedicure and $15 for gel Polish .. why I was charged $30 when I didn't get a pedicure is beyond me! I tried asking him why it was $30 when I pay $30 for pedicure gel is $15, he kept getting louder and louder talking over me bc I don't think he knew the answer. I didn't want to argue (unlike he did) So Of course I paid it. Like I said I have been coming here since 2014-2015 and before that went to their old location to see Lyna all the time from 2012. I am in the same business as them, I run a hair salon, I know how this business works and they don't know how to run a business. People should not be waiting 30 plus mins EVERY TIME to get in when they have an appointment, if they do they shouldn't be OVER charged. Almost every time I have ever came here I have to wait 30 plus mins. And I have an appointment! Why even bother making an appointment!? This place is so terrible they need to seek out a business course. I will never come back here again. Totally never recommend them! This is the first bad review I've EVER written in my entire life, I really don't complain unless I know it's needed and it was needed today. I had the worst nail experience at this place, the guy doing my nails was uninterested in actually doing my nails and was rude and had something to say when I asked him to trim my actual nail under my UV gel nails. I went here for the first time yesterday hoping I didn't have to wait too long for a pedicure. I signed in and sat for maybe 10 seconds and was taken right back. I have to say that I'm thoroughly impressed with the salon and with the people there. I usually go to Nails Lovida, which has always been great, and I have no complaints except that it's always super busy. I read the reviews about Top Nails, including the negative ones, but I took a chance anyway and checked it out. I'm so glad I did. I will be going here from now on. I listened to the reviews on this page and several others thinking this was going to be a good place to go. Well to be honest, it wasn't. Ive workn fake nails for the last 14 years and ive never had such a bad experience with my nails. One of my acrylic nails broke off after only a day, went back the next day and it was fixed(I was charged-every other place would've fixed it for free...I work in customer service so I get it. I didn't make a fuss. I'm just putting this in for everyone to get the full story) not even a week later I was left with 5 nails and my natural nails were in very bad shape-still are. The only reason I am giving this 2stars is because the place was very clean, people were friendly, and the shape of my nails turned out exactly how I wanted. Some of the workers are really rude here! As I was sitting waiting to get my nails done, a lady walked in and said she had made an appointment to get her eyebrows done, who ever had made the appointment didn't realize the eyebrow girl, was on vacation, so it was a simple mistake, the young girl at the front (the girl on the left in the pic, that's on the profile)didn't apologize instead she said "she's on a plane, she can't fly back just to do your eyebrows" I was shocked and I'm sure the older lady who made the appointment was to, When I checked in, the same girl asked what I wanted, I said mani and pedi, she asked if it was my real nails and I said yes, I have dip powder on my Real nails and assumed that's what she was asking, she corrected which was fine and tried to explain the difference, ok got it but her last sentence was again RUDE! I usually enjoy going to this place but this last visit I wasn't impressed at all. The woman that did my pedicure was decent but the guy that did my nails was a whole other story. When he began I noticed his hands. They looked dirty. Were dry and cracked and even were cracked open where I could see a cut on them. I asked him to wear gloves. He seemed anounyed and began speaking to the coworker beside him in his native language. I could tell he was talking about me(Annoyed me). So I tried this place, hoping it would be great with all the reviews & I was so disappointed. The one thing I don't like is being rushed when it comes to my pedicures. & I was rushed from the minute I sat down. The man that did my pedicure was on overdrive in everything he did. It was so bad that it hurt. He was cutting my cuticles so fast that I don't think he even knew what he was cutting. I just felt him pulling & tugging on them. It hurt! Then he kept jamming his tools deep into my cuticles when he was cleaning them. Like cmon man!! Then I got some rushed, pathetic excuse for a massage. Like the whole point of a pedicure & massage is to feel relaxed. I felt rushed & in pain. Then I picked 2 colors & wanted to see what they looked like on my toes against my skins tone. I asked him if he could show me what they both looked like & at first he seemed confused like no one has ever asked that. Then when I explained what I wanted he seemed irritated & put the smallest, lightest patch of paint. You couldn't even see it! Like wtf man?! Are we THAT stingy with the nail polish?! I didn't ask him to do both feet & then tell him to change it. I just wanted a small patch to see what it looked like & I couldn't even get that. Needless to say I won't be returning here. My sister and I went as a treat to get a pedicure. We had a luxurious time. We asked for a flower on our big toes and she was like an artist in her detail and skill. This place was amazing. I have been to other nail salons around Watertown and they have all felt like I was being herded in and out. This place actually felt like a spa experience. I had only ever had a basic pedicure before, so I treated myself to the paraffin wax. The $40 price tag seemed steep but I had a rough week. BEST DECISION. I kid you not my feet were so baby smooth I couldn't walk in my sandals because I was sliding around so much. I jokingly told my friend to touch my foot and she was amazed by it. It sounds silly but they did an incredible job. They don't just stick your feet in water, trim your nails and clean your cuticles. My feet were massaged at least three different times with hot towels, exfoliant, and lotions. The woman was so sweet and made sure nothing was too hot, and even offered me some water. It was worth the price tag. I've been looking for a place to convince my husband to get a pedicure with me, and at this place you could convince ANYONE to get one! I loved it. read more

My nails look great but I don't understand why they charge an extra 7$ for coffin shape??

I went to this nail salon 2 weeks ago today. I booked a mani/pedi/brow wax online with no problems. I arrived early and they were able to take me when I walked in the door. As the technician began removing my current nail color he asked if my nails were real or fake. I found that odd due to him being a nail professional. He ensured that my manicure was great. However when the color was being applied he did it differently than I had seen done before. Im no expert, so I just figured it was due to using a different brand than what my regular salon used. Fast forward to the pedicure. The technician, same as who did my nails, pointed out that my feet had a lot of skin on them. Seriously, I know this. I had gotten a pedicure 3 weeks before this . Its the summer and I work in retail. Im on my feet for over 40 hours a week and wear sandles. I found it incredibly unprofessional. When you work in a service field, you're trying to retain guests by having a good experience, not run them away. My pedicure was finished and my tootsies were drying. I figured that my eyebrows were getting ready to be done next. Truth be told, I was tired and ready to leave. The technician then started another guests' pedicure while my tootsies were drying. I guess he didnt want anymore of my business. So, I just let him cash me out once my toes were dry. The next part is what really angered me. I chose the powder nails due to staying power and easy maintenance. I have seen this style of nail last for over 3 weeks. I was visiting from out of town, so there is no way that their "satisfaction guarantee"will really help me in this sitaution. In LESS than a week I noticed there were cracks and splits in the polish on most of my fingers. In fact 2 of my nails plus my big toe had large tears in the polish. Now at 2 weeks, my nails are a MESS! I have had to cut 4 nails down because of the SEVERE tears in the polish. So it is 1 of 2 things.... either the technician or the product is substandard and defective! I would NOT recommend this salon to anyone out of town!!! Howndoes this place stay in business? I now have to invest another $50, with tip to get this nightmare fixed! read more

I'm very disappointed in the customer service that I was given today. I go to Top Nails every week, so I would say I'm a regular customer. Sasha is my nail tech and does an outstanding job every time I go. Today I went to Top Nails as I do every week around the same time or even earlier if I can. I was greeted by CeCe one of the owners) she ask if I had an appointment, I said yes for Sasha. She ask my name and I gave it to her and she said I don't have you down. Well I said Sasha knows I'm coming and Sasha was waiting for me. She ( CeCe )rudely said," well Sasha is available, but next time make an appointment." I walked away to find my polish and I had my sister who is from Miami with me and she was approach by Jimmy asking her, " what is the problem". By know I'm so confuse on what is going on. I greeted Sasha and CeCe follows me to the pedicure area saying it is important that I make an appointment. In front of customers and she talked about there policy. I said, " you need to talk to your staff not me". CeCe is a VERY RUDE PERSON. She is not a people person and not friendly at all. I was really embarrassed because my sister was with me who owns a nail shop in Miami and said if she was my employee she would be fired immediately! The services are great however it all depends on who services you. If you do go ask for Sasha or Niecia they are the MOST friendly persons to deal with. read more
