I can see how some would give this place 5 stars depending on which nail tech they get. I unfortunately keep getting the same older woman with short hair. She is incredibly rude. Each time, she has made me feel like my very basic nails are such a burden on her. She sighs frequently and will rush through the process. She rushed me while picking out a color (because they were out of my first three color choices so she was getting annoyed). When you walk in, there is no customer service etiquette. They all just stare at you blankly until you initiate conversation, then they sigh and act like they are burdened you arrived. Unfortunately this is one of the only places in town so I will try again but will request a different tech. read more

Okay, where do I begin? I've been to Top Nails twice. I've had the absolute pleasure of having my pedicure done both times by shop owner Stephen. (I think the first time, because they were so busy, he got stuck with me! The second time, I insisted !!) =) Not only did he do an OUTstanding job of my polish work, but honest to gosh, I've never had a better leg massage. That would be NEVER! Their prices are very reasonable. A deluxe (includes the afore-mentioned massage) pedicure with gel polish is only $50. It's an hour of relaxation with remarkable results! Everyone in the shop is very pleasant. The atmosphere is just what you want from a service-oriented business! A+ all over the place!!! read more

I have been coming to this nail salon for two years now. I had to take a year off I guess so I guess you could say only a year . Anyways, not the point. Yes. They can be a little... forward. One time a lady made me bleed, which was no fun lol. BUT, I kept going back because honestly? They do a good job 99.99% of the time I went in there. It isn't hoity toity. You don't get the "wow I feel like Julia Roberts from Pretty Woman" vibe. But... I mean... let's be honest... we are paying for our nails to get done not be treated like rockstars right? I've gone to multiple places in LA and Vegas and it's always a bit nerve wracking to go to a new nail place, but Annie did a wonderful job. I went in to get my nails done during the pandemic and was relieved to see the business enforce social distancing. Face masks are also required upon arrival and staff have you wash your hands before any contact as well as check a quick temperature. I went there to get my nails done with my friend for prom and the staff was nice but my acrylics came out crooked, the polish was bad and chunky and my nails haven't lasted long. It's been 4 days and they're starting to turn white at the bottom and look tacky and like there is a small plastic brick on my hands. I went in for a full set of acrylics and ended up with several crooked nails and sore skin from the nail tech filing down my skin. I asked him to correct the crooked fake nails he glued on early in the process and he simply blamed me for having crooked fingers (which I do not) and went to explain the "schooling" he went through that obviously taught him nothing. Essentially he gave an elaborate story, instead of taking an extra five minutes to fix my nails. I also have sore open skin surrounding my nails from him attempting to create a nail shape with the electric file by drilling into my skin. The shape he was going for must've been "blobs" with zero consistency from nail to nail. Might be just the person I got but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone regardless. $50 not well spent. read more

Top Nails is the BEST NAIL SALON in South Haven, MI, if not the best in the WHOLE STATE! Very professional, very clean, very friendly & an extremely relaxing atmosphere! I won't go anywhere else to get my nails done! They are always able to figure out a way to get me in on a last minute notice as well! I had a very extensive knee surgery spring of 2017 and was on crutches for months. The staff at Top Nails were extremely sympathetic and helpful during my time of need. And now even after not being there for almost 2 years due to having to work so much and then COVID, Amy remembered just about everything about me and also what I like for my nails! Sure, if you make an appt you might have to wait a little bit BUT YOU WILL get your time! I've never had to wait too terribly long after "my appt time" before it was my turn. I don't like to leave bad reviews but they really did a BAD job with my legs. I got there and they didn't even have a bed for waxing your legs!!! It's just a chair!!!! so that way they can't wax your legs completely. I was there for almost two hours because they use a super tiny stick for waxing the legs.. I guess is the same for your eyebrows! They charged me 5 dollars more because the lady said I had a lot of hair!! SO RUDE!! and of course I had hair, that's why I went there! Sure - nail salons are a dime a dozen and there's one on every corner. Here's what sets Top Nails apart..... I called on a Tuesday to request an appointment for 8 girls (bridal party) to come in on a Friday evening. It was Blueberry Festival too, mind you! I've been to several nail salons in Phoenix that don't exactly respect your appointment, and certainly won't turn anyone away to be available at your specific appointment time. Frustrating when you want to be in and out. NOT the case this Friday afternoon! Three of us showed up a half hour early to get started, and when 5 more of us showed up we were all welcomed and they were ready to help us. Not one of us had to wait! Every employee was pleasant and they even let us sneak in some champagne! A very fun, unstressful experience for us all! read more

On summer vacation. Got a Deluxe Pedicure which is only $5 more than a regular. Didn't get polish, just buff like I usually do. I'm a massage therapist and I do barefoot shiatsu, need my feet and hands to be immaculate. Very disappointed in the quality of the products and services as well as substandard tools (including a cheese grater for callus removal). Baffled that they were so busy and have such great reviews. The staff was pretty kind, but that doesn't make up for poor quality. I was going to get a manicure but decided not to because of how poor the pedicure was. I gave a generously undeserved tip. This is my nail salon. The manacurists here are caring and kind. A feeling of community exists here that I love and appreciate.

The employees were very nice and not too slow. The atmosphere was nice and the place was very clean. They didn't have a long wait at all. The woman who seemed to own/manage the place was great however there was a trainee who painted my nails and toenails and even after asking her to make sure she painted my WHOLE nail she still missed large places on the edges. read more

I was in and out, which was nice- don't want to miss much of this beautiful day. But my mani-pedi looks just a bit sloppy for my taste. The massage with the regular pedicure was great, but my nails are a bit bubbly and unfinished looking, especially the top coat. The price was typical and I was able to get the colors I needed, but even if I'm a bit OCD about my nails she could have taken a bit more time with me. I did enjoy myself, though. My cousin and I had pedicures while vacationing in South Haven. Pedicure was done on July 15. The polish held up the entire summer! Long time resident of South Haven and have gone to Top Nails for as long as I can remember. I recently had an awful experience that has resulted in me deciding to never go back. I got a $45 dip manicure on a Friday (before the holidays) and on Saturday morning, one of the nails broke when I bumped it on a door handle. I called the salon right away to let them know and asked if I could come in on Monday to get it fixed. When I came in on Monday for my appointment, Amy didn't want to fix it for me! She said nails break sometimes; "this happens sometimes. You bumped it". Yes, I did. But I wouldn't expect it to break the very next day. She argued with me in front of other customers. She eventually agreed to fix it and did so with a bad attitude the whole time. It was very awkward. I was mortified and couldn't believe she was treating me that way.
