When she does something wrong she will yell, she will fuss, and she will try her hardest to blame…read moreyou for it. I initially came to her for sugaring. I read the reviews and felt she was the best choice. She's very personable. I decided on armpits, Brazilian, face and eyebrows. My Brazilian and armpits went fairly well. I had more ingrowns after this sugaring than the previous one, I'm not sure who's to blame. To be honest. I know I exfoliate. My eyebrows were gorgeous, no issues there. The face sugaring... she told me I had bumps because of folliculitis. This was the first case of her dodging blame and blaming the customer. It was my first time having the hair removed from my face. So I'm not sure if that's true or not but what I do know is. She does double dip in the wax. So it could have been a a slight infection. Today when she messed up my eyebrows, well.... the skin under them.... she tried to tell me that it was a normal thing just like she said the folliculitis was a normal thing. She went from saying all I made a mistake I didn't hold your skin tight enough..... to saying it's a normal thing it happens to everyone. I'm starting to think the "folliculitis" was not a normal thing. It caused a lot of hyperpigmentation on my face. For which she also wouldn't hold herself accountable for. The thing is, if it was just folliculitis, then my eyebrows and lip should've had folliculitis as well but it was just on the sides. I've had to explain multiple times if someone comes to you to receive a treatment, and when they leave their face is worse. You have to hold yourself accountable for stuff like that. Today I had to explain to her that you can't mentally manipulate someone and try to make them feel like it's their fault when you do something wrong. She tried to tell me if you're out in the sun too much or maybe use retinol or maybe it's just the wax the wax took the skin off. No you control the way you waxed the skin off my face. She said she never had a client try to make her feel bad before. And I was a bad person. But I can't make you feel bad if you feel bad.... it's because you know you did something wrong. She kept saying that I should stop accusing her. When it was fresh and it just happened.... and there is no one else to, as she calls it, accuse. She started getting loud she started talking over me all of the signs that people exhibit when they know they're wrong. She had a client that was coming right after me even though she said she didn't work on Mondays. I think maybe she was rushing. Imagine putting wax on a wax strip on skin, and not holding it taut. When you go to rip it off, the skin is going to lift with it vs holding it tight enough so it can't. But she tried to tell me "the wax grabbed the skin and the skin just lifted" at first. The skin doesn't just lift on its own. When she saw I wasn't buying it then she said..... "maybe I didn't hold your skin enough". She keeps calling it a minor "skin irritation" what I don't think she understands is.... she waxed multiple layers of skin off of my face. I've got quite a bit of hyperpigmentation on my skin from the sugaring.

Compared to places I have visited prior to becoming familiar with Top Nail, I have to say Top Nails is the only spot I feel comfortable going to. It doesn't matter if I'm in my sweats or work clothes, the staff is welcoming, professional and as I stated, talented. I don't have time to write an essay, like I see some people do. Maybe if people weren't so whacky, they would have had a normal and more pleasant experience. Just so happens I go each and every week for a mani pedi, and I have witnessed some really difficult customers that the staff has had to deal with, and they have dealt with things very well. You can't please everyone in this business, but Chi and her staff do their absolute best. So if you are a normal, sane and sound person, living near or visiting the Davie area, this is your spot. I do suggest you be responsible as well, and call ahead to make an appointment, letting the staff know what services you would like. Also, to the Yelpers out there, watch what you say because if you don't have a point of reference, as a small business owner and salon owner, you should be mindful of the impact you may have writing nasty and fictional reviews. Five stars for service and results, and I am picky as well. read more

I have been going to top nails for 2 years now. Chi isn't this only nail tech. I had her do my nail one time in two year. Yes she is very nice but so are the other girls. There are things called accidents we have all had them in our businesses. Kristi the new owner is working very hard to keep up the same quality and standards of service that i have received over the past two years. Some people are just mean and hateful and get great pleasure at trying to hurt others by writing bad reviews. This is so wrong on so many levels. Frankly we all know some women are very hard to please no matter how you bend over backwards to correct the issue. Kristi is starting a new chapter in her life and as women we should all give her support and wish her great success. This is a great nail salon along with being very close to my home. I will continue to give this salon my loyalty and my business. read more

I am so excited. My Nail tech Kristi who I have been with for over 10 years is now the proud owner of Top Nails along with her sister-in-law. I just love going there! It is calming and wonderful. Kristi is probably the best tech I have ever had. She makes you feel so special and takes the time to be sure you are happy with results. I do not know of anyone who cares the way she does. I may have to drive a bit more, but it is well worth it. I feel so special and best of all do not ever have to pick my color as she is not just great at nails but has a great sense of style. She is great at everything. Waxing nails and pedis. But more importantly she is just a wonderful caring person. I will never go anywhere else. read more

This nail salon is one of the best! It is under new management now and the owner Kristy is the bomb! I've been going to her for years now. She is very friendly, always smiling and KNOWS her work. Kristy will let you know if what you want is good or make better suggestion instead of just doing it like most other nail technicians and it coming out not how you envisioned it.
