I have only done pedicures but they were fast, efficient, and my nail polish always lasted over 3 weeks. I wear closed toe shoes 6 days a week so it usually chips or rubs off within a week so I'm amazed! They removed a ton of callous and rough skin on my feet and massaged my legs. I have been here a couple of times and it has been okay. The last time I went I had a lady named Angel and she was awful. She was very rude and did not listen to anything I said. I got a mani and a pedi and she cut my foot and messed up one of the toenails. I got sns with tips on my nails and she made them way longer than I wanted and charged me more for them when I kept telling her to file them down more. They are very bumpy and you can see where the tips were added. I also got the color white and she did not put enough coats on to make a solid white. Would give it a 0 if I could. The service was awful! The woman hacked and cut my cuticles and created hang nails on most of my fingers. When I asked to see her license, one of the other women called the manager. He was no help at all and would not even acknowledge the damage she did. He said it was fine because I was not bleeding. I just hope I do not get an infection. She never could produce her license. Supposedly it was in her car, and she went out to get it. But she was still in the salon when I left and still had no license. And they refused to give me her name. I would be shocked if she actually has a license. Patronize at your own risk. read more

WORSE SERVICE EVER!!! Very unprofessional, rude and inconsiderate when it comes to asking a question that they can answer but either they get defensive or they dont care to answer. It starts with some of the technicians (by the way most of them very cold working like robots, showing no feelings) and if you ask for the manager, the lady owner acts very defensive, no manners, no social skills, no customer relations and very insulting. Then you want to talk to some one decent to address your concern and all technicians get protective and defensive and against the customer and the man owner Tom will do NOTHING and let the unprofessional wife take care of the issue. Eventually they may survive being opened by one time visit new customers who do not know the unprofessional service but for sure not many returning customers. My mother and I came in today to get fill ins for our acrylic sets. I've been getting acrylic sets for awhile but my mother got her first acrylic set when she went in with me about 3 weeks ago. Ten days after getting this acrylic set, the acrylics started to pop off. She glued them back on with nail glue but after 6 of the 10 nails has popped of she gave up and decided to make an appointment at Top Nails to see what could be done. She talked to the man who schedules the appointments about the popping off of the acrylics on the phone and nothing came of it. She then tried to talk to her technician about it. After about 5 minutes of explaining this, the technician got the man who had made our appointments and he came over and told my mother that the acrylics would not work for her nails because her nail beds were too greasy. I am very hesitant to believe that. While taking off my mothers remaining four nails, the technician used a tool to dig underneath the acrylics to pop them off. While she was doing this, she slid the tool underneath my mothers real nail which made her bleed! On top off all of this, my mother believed that it was the tip extensions that were off limits to her, but believed she would be getting an overlay. When she was just given a shellac manicure instead (with no acrylics), she questioned the technician who responded by saying that my mother said that she had okayed the gel polish instead of the acrylic set. At this point, I looked over and saw the technician giving my mom the most blatant "really bitch?" face. I could not believe that the technician would treat a customer like that. My mom was very literally on the verge of tears. This manicure was very important to her as she originally got the acrylics in hopes that her nails would grow and be perfect because she is going to her best friends wedding in Scotland over the weekend, at which she will be one of the only guests. This was something my mother was really looking forward to and it was ruined by unbelievably awful customer service and low quality work. Not only did they do a poor job, but the people who work here really took advantage of my mom. We will not be going back for sure and I would not recommend this salon to anybody. read more

Decent price- Decent service- It was nice to get a quick shellac manicure and head to kroger right after so the location is the only reason I would go back there. There is a place in eastgate I like better it's near Home goods. No complaints on the shellac manicure but the place did smell like nail remover pretty strong and it just wasn't very aesthetically pleasing as a business. read more

The guy who answers the phone and checks people in...you know, the one with dark, long hairs growing out of his neck...he has ZERO customer service! Tells you you can not make appointments then you sit there while customer after customer walks in the door, says they called ahead and get taken before you. I had great services by Henry. Needed a pedicure and manicure for a wedding I'm in this weekend. I work right by this salon so it was convenient to come here right after work. I've been here before and have had pretty good service. But this time I had Jack who did one of the best jobs I've had at a nail salon. Did not hurt me one time, was very thorough and did a great job. And he actually listened to me when I asked to have my nails shorter (many people tell me no). I was reminded of this horrible nail experience after I had another bad experience in the Anderson Township area. (I am, again, visiting my mother in the area and have yet to find a good nail salon.) This specific experience was last October, and Top Nail's other reviews hit the nail on the head. (Pretty telling that I remember this salon from nearly a year ago.) Had my nails done there for a long time. Recently had them done and they were awful. Several of my nails were placed crooked. The tech filed them too short and didn't bother to ask me about the length. When I spoke to the owner about my bad nails, he proceeded to argue with me and tell me my nails were placed straight, it was my NAIL BEDS that were crooked!! Owner refused to correct the problem nails, would only do it if I paid half the cost of the normal service. I shouldn't have to pay anything--the original nails I received were horrible! I received very poor customer service and the owner seemed to only want to argue with me. Very disappointed! I was a walk-in appointment about an hour before closing time. I was getting a full set with gel French tips, I was told to go to a lady named Angels chair. Angel was very rude and did not listen to anything I asked. I asked for my nails to be cut shorter and she told me she will get them later by filing them. When it came time to file them down she complained to me that I said I wanted them longer and I refused to let her cut them shorter. After this happened I was inspecting my nails as she was going and she told me "look later I need to rush you are going to be here after hours" because it was coming close to closing time by that point. She kept checking her watch every minute or so and rushed me through the process. My nails look terrible! They have a ton of air bubbles in them and are super crooked and she didn't even let me wash my hands to get all the crud off of them! When it came time to pay she over charged me as well. She said I made her do more work than what she was told when I questioned the pricing. I was very disappointed at this visit. I have always gone to Top Nails and never had anything but great experiences, I just know who I DO NOT want to do my nails next time! read more

I went to Top Nails on Sunday at 10:55 am, 5 minutes before opening. I was 4th in line. When we signed in, I was #14 in line. The lady in front of me signed up 11 people in her family. 9 of which who were not there. The owner proceeded to take all 11 over the next 15 minutes as they strolled in late. A lady who signed in for herself only, then had her daughter show up. The owner took both of them before me even though I was there before daughter. I only wanted a manicure and fill in. I was told it would be 20 minutes. Over the next 36 minutes 5 more people came in for pedicures and one by one the owner took them back. 2 people came back from Saturday because they wanted a redo, the polish had already came off. At 11:40 I stood up and said I had enough. He literally took anyone who wanted a pedicure and manicure but would not seat me for just a manicure and fill in. It was ridiculous! I will not ever be back. And after hearing complaints as I sat there I will spread the word how awful this business is. read more

I am so disappointed with the service here. I've been going here off and on for years. After a long break from acrylics I went back to find that things have changed a lot and not in a good way. First- I have gotten an overall bad attitude from most of the staff that I have encountered. They act like I'm asking them to serve me the world on a platter. They seem annoyed by how long it takes me to pick out polish, annoyed if I nick the polish, annoyed if I ask for designs and annoyed if I don't. I AM PAYING YOU! THIS IS YOUR JOB! Second- I get the same nail tech (Kim) almost every time and she cuts my skin. It's to the point of light bleeding and scabbing and it burns like crazy when she puts any of the chemical on my skin. Other techs were better. Third- the techs all speak to each other in Vietnamese constantly. This wouldn't bother me except they hardly even acknowledge my existence going so far as to not respond to common courtesies such as a thank you, hello, or even a smile. It's incredibly rude and uncomfortable. Fourth- they watch you as you fill in the tip on the bill BEFORE they finish the job, yet again making things uncomfortable and unprofessional. Fifth- I have paid for a nail repair twice. Both times the technician did not remove the acrylic and redo the nail as expected. Instead she took the acrylic gel and built up the tip causing the two broken nails to be much shorter than the others and I would assume much weaker as well. Finally- in one instance I blow dried my nails with 2 rounds on the dryer as instructed by every technician I have ever worked with. I left to find almost every nail had been messed up by my coat and purse while leaving. I returned to have them fix it and was scolded by the tech and the man at the counter that I need to be more careful. They went so far as to say it would take two hours for my nails to dry. That is the most absurd, defensive comment I've ever heard. All you need to say is "that's all right I'll fix it" and leave it at that. Obviously the staff at Top Nails needs training both in the profession and in customer service. I will never go to Top Nails again and I fully plan on discouraging my friends and family from going as well. read more

Both my mother and I have been going to Top Nails for many years since it is so close to home, yet every time we go for a pedicure we say that it will be our last time. I used to ask for Heidi because she is by far the friendliest and does great work. It's not easy to get booked with her, though, so because I am often pressed for time, I just agree to see whoever is available. I've noticed a common theme in the reviews on this page, which is that the staff is very rude, and I completely agree. On many of my visits, staff members have acted put out and incredibly irritated to be doing their job. There have been times where I have been embarrassed by how rudely they have behaved toward me during my visit. I think their goal is to get people in and out as quickly as possible in order to keep their numbers booming, even if that means providing bad service. I can't remember the last time they used clear coat on my newly polished nails. I guess it's just one more thing for them to do that they don't have time for or just don't care to do. It's rare to find anyone who is friendly in this salon. Many times, they have just thrown on lotion and were done in a matter of seconds. There have been several occasions where I am in and out of the pedicure chair faster than clients who were there before me. When I am sitting at the dryer, no one ever takes the time to say how long I should sit there for best results. As a matter of fact, they say nothing other than, "How will you be paying?" No "thank you." No "have a nice day." No "please come again." How does this place stay in business? Has anyone noticed there is always a "Now Hiring a Receptionist" sign in the window? Looks like they are just as rude to their own staff as they are to their clients. read more
