Got there and unloaded from the tow truck in one of those Oregon Coast frog strangler downpours. They came out and pushed my truck half way into a bay, the only spot available in the shop and went to work and I'm pretty sure they were staying late to figure out the problem so left them to it. The next morning I received a call with the good news that the problem had been solved with some extensive trouble shooting and diagnostics at what I consider a ridiculously low price. I had researched tires before calling the store and the associate was very helpful. I gave him an idea of what I was looking for and also tires I didn't think met my expectations. He agreed! After a few minutes on the phone, we decided upon a set which he said could be delivered by the following business day. Perfect timing! The tires arrived as promised, he called when they came in and I headed down to get them installed. Not only did I receive a great price, but there was a rebate available too. They printed an extra copy of the receipt for me to make it easy to submit. Now, that's customer service. The inside, sales floor/waiting room is super cute! They've converted old cars into seating and it's decorated in 50's nostalgia. Overall, I had an excellent experience.

While there, I made an appointment for 10 am the next week. I arrived early, and the middle-aged employee told me it would take about an hour and a half for an oil change and radiator flush. I told them that I would take a walk and grab a coffee. An hour and fifteen minutes later, I returned to the shop and noticed that my truck was still exactly where I had parked it. The employee said that " he wasn't sure what was going on back there, but that they should get to it when the mechanic is finished with another job ". I asked him, wasn't that what scheduling an appointment is for? For which I received a shrug of the shoulders and a blank stare. Not only have they lost a car care customer for years to come, but I now will be buying my tires from Les Schwab. Maybe a little more money, but at least decent customer service. A whole morning wasted!

I purchase a battery and found out later they charged $51.00 to install it. Fifty One dollars to disconnect two connectors, remove the old battery and drop in the new one. A five minute job I could have done myself if I was not on the road. Battery Plus replaces batteries they sell for FREE! Les Schwab service is no more. If you need a battery, do not go to Les Schwab. And yes, I did call Corporate who told me he would contact Les Schwab in Florence and have them give me a call. He also attempted to defend the charge as some batteries are difficult to change. Les Schwab is no longer Les Schwab. Still waiting on a call. Battery Plus gets my recommendation. Michael M.

My father used this mechanic and, at first, it went well. But this guy Mike and his partner…read more"Nettie" (not sure if that's the correct nam) are unresponsive after weeks of poor communication. my father hired them to a carrier bearing and look at his u joints on his pickup, which is his main means of earning an income, and they took his drive lines and never returned them. He has asked for them back with text and calls MANY times over the course of the last couple weeks, and they do not even answer calls or reply to texts with anything other than false promises that he will return the call later. At this point my father has been forced to spend thousands of dollars on new drive lines, and lost over a month of income from doing business as a contractor. I want to warn anyone considering us this company, please find someone ethical. If Mike calls my father and makes restitution (return the drive lines, and pay for some of his loss of time) I will update this review. This should be criminal, but unfortunately it seems it is a civil matter. We are very reasonable people and my father was personally and financially hurt by this company. The stress from this situation has caused us all to lose sleep at night.
