This is because this place has several artist and in my opinion each one has a style which I think it's amazing as they will perfect the stype of art you are looking to get. I was able to go over details and what I wanted to get done... We went over the calendar and worked together to make the date happen that worked best. Please note that I previously did my homework by researching the type of work on the sites IG plus I was referred here. On the date of the appointment, we get ready for the tattoo, the artist name is Barry by the way, super nice guy, easy going, his work is perfection in my opinion. He really exceeded my expectations. About the shop, very clean, organized, lavatory super clean and supplied.they also provide you with snacks depending on your artist and yummy tea . Overall this was a total vibe and awesome experience.. I will be back.

Tattoo Boulevard was the complete opposite of that. I had been following tattoo artist Barry San for the past year after seeing some work he had done on a performer at the Tiki Hut (I know so random) and loved it. I was finally ready to get a piece wanting to get some closure for the next chapter in my life. I had a consultation with him prior to scheduling my session and it was amazing. The space itself is very open and spacious and I felt comfortable as the walls were adorn with various art work from the different artists. My session was on a Sunday....meaning free street parking! From start to finish my experience was fantastic! The details, the vibes, so much unexplanable awesomeness...the design/detail completed piece was more than I could've imagined. Highly recommend Barry San for his dotwork and intricate lines...and overall fab chill vibe.

They were able to take us as walk-ins with only a short wait. We both ended up super happy with what we got, and healed beautifully! Also worth noting, while I was getting tattooed, I couldn't help but listen in on the station next to me. The woman getting tattooed was nervous (possibly her first tattoo?) and the artist working with her was so patient and accommodating. I was really impressed at his commitment to making sure his client had the best experience possible. Highly recommend Fudo Tattoo, I'm sure I'll be coming here again!

I've been to a couple of places with my idea, that has been a pet project/labor of love for almost 10 years, and Stephen was the first to actually see it the way I saw it, and run with it in a way that I really loved. If you're looking for a hipster type tattoo, or looking for some old school flash piece - he could probably do it with this eyes closed (but hipster tat factories are a dime a dozen around Chicago). But if you want art, real fucking art, take it to him. So far he has taken the time to sit with me, go over the artwork, and really understand where I am coming from with it - and it gives me great confidence in his abilities. I will check back in after my first sitting. I just had my second sitting with Stephen on my arm piece and am blown away with how amazing this thing looks already. He took one of my favorite pieces of comic art and added a touch of realism to it and it is amazing. Alex worked on an existing piece for a family member, and made what was essentially a garbage tattoo look like a well crafted complete piece. I can honestly say that you would not be disappointed after coming here. Both of these folks are the real deal!

Do you prefer impatient artists? Do you like having the knowledge that the person who began your…read moretattoo may not finish the piece? Are you looking to have the artist provide no professional insight whatsoever? If so, many tattoo locations in the Chicago area that will provide you with that experience. I encourage you to seek one of them out immediately. Are they gone? Good. Now that the D-Bags have left, I can tell you about Stephen Knight, and Knight Studios looks to serve people who are serious about body art. I do not mean snobs or elitists. I do mean people who fully understand the life-long commitment they make when one decides to get a tattoo. As a result, Stephen and Alex take the proper time, professional approach, and trained input to ensure their clients have the best experience possible. Earlier this year I moved to Washington State. As a result, I waited months until I was in Chicago again to have Stephen tattoo me. To me, it was more important to receive a tattoo by someone whom I trust me than receive the immediate gratification of having the piece completed. I do have a quick example of my experience at Knight Studios. I brought Stephen several ideas I had for tattoos and where I wanted them placed. Stephen took the time to create stencils, discuss the realities of each suggestion, and work with me to find the best possible design, size, and location of each piece. If you want someone a "Yes-Man" who will give you a tattoo you will regret within seconds of completion, go elsewhere. If you are looking for tasteful, skilled, and creative artists, visit Knight Studios.

Wild West tattoo very nice shop, every nice people and respectful everyone gets along pretty well,…read moreas much as I wanted to love and continue to get tatted at this shop. I had a bad experience with this shop and a tattoo artist there, I had payed in full for 2 tattoos I got started with, neither of them got finished, I kept trying to get a scheduled appointment and I kept getting ghosted for about a month. Neither of my tattoos got completed such as linework that could have been completed same day and shading another I would've understood that. Neither of the tatts were completed. I had a scheduled date to get it completed and she never showed up and texted me a sorry ass excuse at 2 AM and they wanted to charge me more than after paying full price for tattoos that were never completed or half done. Even when wanting to charge me more she stated that it wasn't even gonna get done and I would have to pay more after the 2 sesh to get completed, which was never discussed or talked about. Very unprofessional. Very disappointing too because I was very excited and I originally wanted a cover up with the first tattoo started and the tattoo artist didn't want to place it where I wanted to just because of her liking of where it would've been better so I had to get another tattoo to cover up what she had stated was gonna cover up what I wanted, which is what we had discussed so the communication was not taken seriously. It took hours just get started, I tried to be very understanding but I felt like I was getting played with. Now I have to pay out of pocket with another artist to finish both of the tattoos started and not completed after already paying CASH FULL SAME DAY. I very much trusted this shop and it was the total opposite. Very unprofessional. Very disappointed and unhappy with the work and the tattoo artist. Tattoo artist might have also been on drugs which probably was the cause for the problem as well. Very frustrating.
