I love all three tattoos, two of which were exact copies of my drawings and one of which was a generally idea she then designed herself based off of. Coming to Logan Square Tattoo was hands down the best tattoo experience I've ever had. Came in for a walk-in randomly on a Saturday, quickly showed the team my idea. Then Bryson agreed to work with me on my tattoo and told me to come back later that day. When I came back, Bryson had a custom design for me ready and it was perfect! The tattoo experience was nice, and only took about 45 minutes for my line work tattoo. I have to say these lines were so sharp, so fine, not muffled at all. It's the cleanest looking tattoo I've ever gotten. The pricing is fair for the quality that you get. I can't stress enough how shocked I was at how clean that tattoo looked. Exactly how I wanted it! This place definitely offers HIGH QUALITY tattoos and experiences. Also, the healing experience was super easy and I felt like it healed really fast! Great service! Honest opinions on healing- as we got a mother/ daughter, and family tattoo. Guest artist, Jessica, was patient and very understanding that it was my moms first tattoo. I know that sounds weird, but I love tattoos and my mom agreed 20 yrs ago to get one with me. No matter how small, it meant a lot to me. TERRIBLE service from Lizzie. She made me wait over an hour after my appointment, never even said sorry so I just left. Complete waste of my time. When I showed her my ideas, she basically she tried convincing me out of it (literally super basic script in red ink and placement around my forearm) idk if she just didn't know how to do it? She said not to do red ink, and that it would be better straight up the arm like every other person does. So disappointed, and the girl at the front desk was not welcoming at all. I went with my girlfriend to her tattoo consultation with Christian and I noticed he was being rude to her so I was happy to get out of there. What made things worse is that he directly messaged her on her personal Instagram after she wrote her yelp review and just from reading his messages to her, rather than just learning from the situation, it seems like he couldn't take the criticism. I went in as a walk in (my boyfriend was with me) as I was only looking to get a couple very small tattoos and the worker who approached us came on very aggressively and treated me like I knew nothing. What he didn't know was that i currently have 8 tattoos, 2 of them very in-depth, and I was treated like I was a rookie. He said he could do it since he had so many cancelations (which would make me think he'd try to get our business even more...?) anyway, I've always wanted to get tatted here and he ruined it for me. I wish something had gone wrong so I could write like a really long-winded and funny review but seriously, this place is just great and easy to work with. I emailed them through the website, Allie (who is a seriously excellent tatooer, BTW) emailed me back. We worked through designs and set up an appointment. I showed up for my appointment and he had a couple cool designs drawn up. I picked one and he put it on me in like, an hour. The shop was nice and clean and everyone was cool. I mean, everyone's just sitting around shooting the shit and doing awesome tattoos. Really, it was so great that it was actually boring. :) I'm definitely going back. read more

By far the best tattoo shop in Chicago...I've referred a lot of people there and they've all been happy with every single artist there no matter who it was. I go see Allie Sider who is not only an incredible artist, but will listen to what you want, give suggestions that are far better than what I would have thought of, and he's not heavy handed so I highly recommend him...but they're all great! Best of all this place is super duper clean which is what you want when getting tattooed. Walked by the shop after Easter brunch with my wife and was happy to see them open. I was even happier they were able to take a walk in. Spoke to Christian about the star of David I was interesting in getting done as a filler. He was very helpful with design and black and grey coloring. Can't recommend this place enough. There are many tattoo shops in Chicago, and a few with 4-5 stars, but after going to a few of them I'd say Logan Square Tattoo is the place I'd come back to and refer to everyone I know. There are 0 airs of pretention here and I think that makes a big difference. I walked in at 4pm with a friend on a Saturday and had to wait almost no time. We both sat with tattoo artist Speck. She is funny, thorough, talented, and understanding without being patronizing (like when I got super light-headed and shaky post-tattoo because I hadn't eaten enough, and she sat with me until I felt better, didn't try to rush me or make me feel bad, and gave me glucose tablets and a cold compress until she was sure I felt fine). Unfortunately my lady got cold feet and we never wound up getting the pieces done. Like many people, I was very particular about what I wanted for my tattoo. Not having the creative skills to draw it myself, I put my trust in Allie Sider to create a piece a had described for him in an email. This tattoo was a particularly important one for me- I wanted to get roses on my arm for my late grandmother. Allie's skill surpassed by expectations- he came up with a beautiful drawing and was willing to take the time to make the minor adjustments I asked for.
