Amazing work by Klaus Zhang. So detailed. Beautifully done. He is a true artist! I am not artistic so I took my preliminary idea and he created exactly what I wanted to honor my love of elephants and my relationship with my daughters.

Came to Chicago for a little R&R and to get a tattoo. Walked in and was greeted by the owner who's name I forgot. (Sorry)Daughter and I wanted to get a couple of quick tattoos and he said he can fit us in. Awsome, awsome, awsome. Even thou they aren't detailed pictures, he still took his time and did a great time. Highly recommend this place!!!!! Will be back for another. Typically I don't give 5 stars( as you can see from my reviews) but he deserves it.

If you're ever in Chicago Run don't walk and book an appointment at Code of Conduct Tattoo. Rafael is The Truth!!! He took my Fierce Black Queen and Tatted her with such Beauty & Elegance. In addition he is Cool AF! All the artists were super friendly, professionals and beasts at what they do. I will definitely be back to Code of Conduct Tattoo when I'm in Chicago again.

Jamie nailed my concept. Great customer service.

Jamie is a consummate professional. He's an expert at his craft. His space and shop was very clean and comfortable.

Reason for giving it 3-stars: Pricing I really had a good time at CoC but I left feeling scammed. My sister and I's tattoo artist was Jaime. It was both our first tattoos. We did walk ins she got 2 tattoos and only had to pay $100. She got one behind her shoulder (medium) and one on her wrist (small). I thought that was great. Then it came time for my tattoo. I got a small wrist tattoo and when it was time to pay he said that it will be $100. Apparently, he charged based off how long it takes and the minimum is $100. Both our tattoos only took less then and hour. Make sure you ask beforehand how much your tattoo is going to cost. If I would have known it was going to be $100 for a small tattoo I would have gotten more tattoos. But I do plan to go back for future tats, I'm just going to be more aware.

I got my 5th (and largest, so far) tattoo of the California poppy done here by Jake a couple months ago and i'm SO happy with it. He did an amazing job at the line work and kept me very comfortable the whole time. I brought in original art but they can work with you to bring an idea to life as well. I went on a Friday evening so it wasn't packed. Everyone who worked there was very nice and accommodating. I plan to come to Jake for some future tattoos and have recommended him to a few friends as well. Highly recommend Code of Conduct!!

I came here for the first time in April but it's taken me a while to write this, although I've been meaning to! Jaime is awesome and did a beautiful job with my tattoo. Once I'm hit with my next idea I will definitely be going back and seeing Jaime again. The attention to detail that he gives to his work is not easy to find. This shop is clean, interesting and everyone who works there seems really cool. Great environment, impressive artists!

Ralph Corona is an amazing artist! He created a custom mandala neck tattoo for me. This is my first large piece and I was super nervous, but he made the entire experience light-hearted, fun and comfortable. He was so precise and particular about getting the placement just right, and his line work was impeccable! While I took a peek after the lining was done, the shading was like a trust fall... I let him just run with it! I was thrilled with the result. After four hours in the chair, I reached my pain threshold so I still need to go back for a bit more shading, but Im in love with my tattoo. Great space, great artists, great vibe. I love this place!

Ask the Community - Code of Conduct Tattoo

Do you tattoo on black skin?

I would say yes, they are awsome guys in there and when i get back to Chi town he is doing another.

    Can you pay with card?

Yep you sure can, thanks for asking!

Can anyone inform me of a price range? I'm thinking of getting a small tattoo on my wrist from them, about how much would that cost?

Mine costed $100, I believe it's an hourly rate. Because mine was done under an hour it was $100. My sister got two tattoos done and it also cost $100 because it was done under an hour.

    Kvitka Tattoo Studio

I have nothing but great things to say about Kvitka Tattoo Studio! The process from booking to day…read moreof tattoo was seamless. Victoria and I communicated via Instagram to get started - I was nervous as this would be my first very visible tattoo. Victoria was so kind and took the time to explain her process to me. When showing me the designs she drew up, we talked through some minor changes and she made them right on the spot. I felt comfortable to share what I had hoped for and she made it come true! The studio itself is gorgeous and incredibly clean. I was offered refreshments while I waited as well. I will definitely be returning to Victoria for my next tattoo!

I had high expectations for Kvitka, but even after those were deflated, I remained optimistic that…read moreperhaps my tattoo retouch would go more smoothly. I also gave Kvitka the benefit of the doubt that it was an off day, but unfortunately my experience was not reflective of the reviews or the experiences shared. I came in for 3 tiny tattoos. The artist told me that the price would be $500 total USD, not including the tip. I had $100 I was preparing for the tip, but my total ended up being much higher than originally agreed upon so my tip had to be decreased to $40. My surprise came at the invoice, but specifically the charge for a $15 service fee. Now, Kvitka is a Russian-speaking company, and they operate with no guests allowed, and incredibly high prices for artists with limited experience, and they should have reached out warning about the no heat and asking to reschedule or not. I had the most uncomfortable time simply from being cold in there. I was close to being there for 4 hours. Now, I had sent in multiple photos of all 3 fine line tiny tattoos that the artist said she'd have stencils ready to go and I discussed in specific detail expeditions. Kvitka's location is horribly hidden with little instruction on this, but upon my final arrival they in a giggly tone, wearing sweaters and coats, share that their heater is broken. This is December. I'm freezing in a tank top. I even looked past this as I was genuinely excited for my tattoos. Even when my artist was late to the appointment by about 15 minutes, I didn't bat an eye. But then the fonts she had picked did not at all match what I sent. So I had to wait for her to do the sketch for the stencil on top of that. But alas, I was so excited that I did not mind the extra 45 minutes spent. Except for the tattoos I got, the should have been out of their in 45 minutes and not the total of over 3.5 hours to get 3 tiny tattoos done. Don't forget that they also do a mini photoshoot (no statement stating that they will post you) but they do not even care enough to show you the pictures you had to pose for I'm the freezing room so they could promote their business. But the real reason for this review is: my artist told me that I had to come back in January because (she had only been an artist for less than2 years) and was worried about making the line too thick so I would have to come back in 2 months. There would be a $50 touch up fee. Silly me, I also overlooked this not recognizing that the artist could not confidently do fine line artistry, and I was expected to pay more because of this. I was even happy to. But to my shock, when I reached out asking to book a spot for January, as I was told, the artist berated me and accused me of not properly using the "ointment" she gave me and refusing to even remember who I was. She made me send in all of my tattoos in pictures over instagram DM to her, and then blamed it on my dry skin. She would not rebook with me, her tone changing and not at all what she acted like prior to my payment of $600 for tattoos that she told me were her own personal reason for not being filled in due to her lack of experience, and then refused to even touch me up for $50/tattoo. The studio is small, freezing (although I hope it was only that day), artists gossiping in Russian, and they are charging fees for artists that have much more talent, professionalism, and integrity in their work and business practices.
