We were eventually planning to do piercings but she wanted a tattoo instead. She said " if I get one, you have to get one too " I didn't go into a tattoo parlor w/ a tat idea, but that's okay too Receptionist called for me from Schaumburg to see if there was any space at Franklin park and they recommended us Mike. I walked into Atmosphere Tattoo Gallery and we approached Mike and introduced us and also asked for a discount. He was so generous, so nice, and so sweet about doing our tattoos last minute. We were offered water as we walked in getting tattoos and we had people explain the process of consent forms and what not. I went first to get my tattoo and my friend Krissy did a intense drawing for a sunflower for me. I got it w/ Mike and he was so sweet, gentle, and patient with me. My personality accidentally came off too strong and he still was so nice to me, so I appreciate it so much. He showed me the placement for my tattoo and initially I wasn't okay with it, so we tried to do different placements until I was happy with the final product. Super patient with me! This type of kindness goes a long way with me! The previous tattoo parlors I've been too had been not as generous and kind as Mike and he was easily one of the funniest people I've met. Mike is such a good vibe and he cares about privacy and your health too. As long as he's making his customers happy, he's vibing and happy. He was really gentle with doing my tattoo and explained the process and disinfected everything. I really appreciate Mike doing my tattoo and initially I was anxious and excited, but he made me feel comfortable to the point where I was okay and didn't stress too much. Mike is an outstanding tattoo artist with excellent customer service with a ton of patience and super willing to work with people. I appreciate anyone with a good vibe and someone who can crack jokes while doing tattoos for me. There's a book with his amazing tattoos that he's done on previous clients and when I say he's really good, he's the best tattoo artist I've had thus far and I'm most definitely going back to get more tattoos and referring friends to him! As we checked out, he explained aftercare and told us to reach out to him on IG if we needed anything. He made sure we were happy, and safe along with concerning for our privacy needs. In addition, he gave us both an amazing price for our tattoos & also gifted us an aftercare tattoo care. I had easily one of the best experiences at this tattoo place & I can't wait for more tattoos in the near future. Definitely and highly recommend Mike if you're doing big tattoos too! I only got a couple of small ones there so far over the past decade. I've had all three of my daughters pierced by Richie. My bonus daughter got her nose pierced about 10 years ago and last year my twin infants got their ears pierced. Very clean shop and everyone made us feel comfortable throughout the process. It's very apparent that all the good artists leave. Ryan and Tanner were the only ones we'd get tattooed by.. always so kind and actually made original authentic work. Must be a reason why such a large shop has no one working there anymore. No one here anymore seems to talk to you like a person. Or have any stylistic flair. Last tattoo I got there, they just traced it from google with very shoddy linework. They talk to the clients like we have no idea what we are talking about. Why would I give you several hundred dollars to be condescended towards? I'll be going to Rocket Tattoo to get tattooed by Tanner from now on. All these reviews are replied with "we offer free touch ups" lol touchups in my experience are when there is a blemish in some shading that doesn't heal right... not when the lines are wobbly and off the stencil.. there is NO fixing that.
