DO NOT EVER GO HERE!! This place was abysmal and incredibly lazy! I had to spend 24 hours in this school, there was not a single thing that was not in the Ohio BMV driving manual that you read for your temps test. You are supposed to get a certificate from them then they are supposed to post in-car dates. THEY HAVE NOT POSTED THEM 4 MONTHS AFTER THEY SAID THEY WOULD!! We called and they told me it can take up to 6 MONTHS!! I am most likely going to have to do everything over again at a different place now. read more

Our child is stuck waiting to get onroad training. The classroom training went well and I was pleased with the instructors. Our child completed the classroom work 4 weeks ago and there have been no road classes available. We are told to keep calling and checking online but there are never any choices to select. I would make sure before I put any cash into a driving school that I have the classroom and onroad work reserved before I pay. We're stuck waiting months to get into a car and it may be many months after our child has turned 16 that they get their license. My 14 year old will be taking drivers education elsewhere. read more

This place is really just a mess all the way around. We opted for the online course for our son and it was buggy and required at least weekly if not multi-weekly calls to get things fixed. Now we are onto scheduling or should I say trying to schedule in car's and they have way too few instructors so when slots open they fill in less than 48 hours and then you are back onto a month long wait or longer. There aren't many choices in Ohio but the alternatives can't be any worse. In car scheduling is almost impossible, when we finally get one scheduled they cancel for 2/15/2017 and tell us it will be April before they can reschedule. What a joke. read more

Terrible customer service and HORRIBLE response to inquires. I got a different story every time I called. They take forever to get your child scheduled for in-car driving. My son wasn't in-car until 4 MONTHS after he completed the class. They have a bunch of complaints with the BBB. I wish I would have thought to check there first. Do NOT use Top Driving. read more

BEWARE TO ALL! PLEASE READ FULL REVIEW AND ALSO BBB REVIEWS AND COMPLAINTS AS WELL! I would rate lower if I was able. Please note that this is based on my experience and I truly wish I had read reviews ahead of time instead of trying to go with convenice because this company was local........Here was my experience......They never returned phone calls. I registered my son for the online course, which he completed. ALL in car sessions must be scheduled online (of which it was ridiculous to get an appointment -they only add new appointments once a month unless they happen to have a cancellation). You will try to contact their phone numbers listed and only ever get a recording....you will then try to leave a message and no one will EVER call you back. In all fairness, I did actually make 2 appointments online, of course, both times, the instructors called to cancel the day before. Then finally someone from the office called to schedule (as my son had gone so long without an appointment) So for our "first" in car....the instructor arrived 10 minutes late, never introduced herself, didn't get out of the car, and then just wanted my son to hop in the car with her. Not very professional or comforting when you are putting your flesh and blood into a 3000 pound rolling piece of steel with a complete stranger. (I mean really.....Is there no Instructor 101 checklist or training required? Let's see.....perhaps start with something like.....Things to do after the parent spends over $300 for 4 sessions and is putting their impressionable and young adult into someone else's vehicle with a complete stranger. Let's start with #1 - get out of the car and introduce yourself.....make them feel good about their decision to go with our company and the the money that they just spent? ) After that, I started calling the office daily, then multiple times a day during designated business hours to try to schedule (as the recording stated that the office was open specific hours each day It has since been changed to "we will return your call within 48 hours". ). However, no one ever answered -- EVER . Then I tried emailing the Manager of the Westerville Office and I cc'd the Corporate Top Driver. Yep, you guessed it - no reply to that either. When I finally did get a return call from the Westerville office (after leaving multiple messages that I now wanted my money back for the uncompleted driving sessions and my son's certificate of completion), the person that called me was very confrontational. I advised that I was going to schedule my in-car sessions with another company that could actually accomodate us and complete all sessions within four consecutive days in less than two weeks. The ever-so-pleasant Top Driver Associate was not so helpful, at which point, I asked for the name of the CEO and she told me his name was, "just Jim". (The ludicrousy of this statement in the day and age of google....) and so I promptly hung up, googled Top Driver Corporate, and ended up speaking to Jim 's brother Tom Deighan. Needless to say, after a long discussion, Tom lead me to believe that he was also in a position of authority, he would assist me, I would get my money back for the unscheduled sessions.....of which I never have...... The only positive? Well -- he did help me to get my son's online certificate of completion back so that he could complete his in-car's with the other company. Of course, that was rightfully ours anyway. THE MORAL OF THIS SAD STORY -DO YOUR RESEARCH, REVIEWS ARE THERE FOR A REASON. TOP DRIVER IS UNPROFESSIONAL. IT WILL TAKE FOREVER TO GET SCHEDULED. Hopefully, many people will see this review or other reviews before giving Top Driver any money. Though my son was able to schedule his classroom lessons without any problem, the in-car lessons are nearly impossible to schedule. There are no in car lessons available online to schedule though you are directed to the website to do so. We were told to keep calling and checking online but there were never any choices to select. After dozens of calls, emails and waiting for the second Thursday of the month and with any luck, to pounce on an available class (we were told new classes would appear online the second Thursday of the month) very few classes were ever made available to us. We had hoped to finish all lessons in the summer months prior to the start of school as it would be very difficult to schedule around my son's hectic schedule. We've waited months to schedule the in car lessons and have only been able to schedule 2 sessions though these times were not at all convenient! Now, the six month contract is up and Top Driver refuses to provide the last 2 sessions without an additional $150. There are other reputable Driving School companies out there, I urge everyone to research before paying Top Driver any of your money. read more

Not happy at all with this Topdriver school. And it was not about the money. Though it was a bit high for what was provided. Pour communication from corporate all the way down to the field office. It was a nightmare to get driving time reserved. The process was not very in clear on how to book your times and It took literally over 4 months to get all the drive times in due to lack of availability. When out driving the instructors did not spend enough time on the finite details of driving such as maneuverability. They don't take anyone on the freeways, they don't teach parallel parking. It was A HUGH disappointment. I would never recommend this school to anyone else. I don't know if there are any better schools out there but I got to believe that there are. I will say that the teaching staff were all very nice people. read more

This place is a joke of a business. You have to pay for the course first, and you can't schedule the in-vehicle sessions until they take a classroom session. Then you find out that there are NO APPOINTMENTS available for months, and it is too late, you are stuck! We were told our daughter would be able to get the in-vehicle sessions scheduled and finish up at the same time the classroom sessions were done. She finished up in early summer, and we have to keep searching for openings not only in our area, but also pretty far away and still have had no luck, The instructors only show up about half of the time, and then you are starting over waiting even longer for scheduling new appointments, and it is a real hassle driving all the way across town for a no show. Besides that, the teaching staff at the Westerville office needs a serious overhaul. read more

We have had the same horrible experience. We have had 3 in car sessions canceled without our permission for a variety of excuses and no sessions substituted for them. We have been told to watch for more opportunities and that it is our responsibility to get sessions scheduled. For another in car session (the 4th one) the instructor failed to show up or call to cancel the session. In all of these failed in car sessions, Top Driver in Westerville has not been able to reschedule one for us??? Funny since all 4 were unable to be completed because of an issue on their end. The classroom sessions were finished in July and now we are told we will have to reschedule all 4 sessions in December at the earliest. Naturally our child turns 16 in less than 2 weeks, a complete disaster of a choice to go with Top Driver. I work in a middle & high school in the direct area of several of these locations in the north end and have been sharing our terrible experiences. We have two younger children who will be ready in 2 years for drivers education, as will their entire peer group and various athletic teams. We have done nothing but share this negative experience with their parents in hopes that they do not suffer from the same lack of professionalism and poor business skills that we have had to endure. What a pathetic way to run a business. Since there are not that many options out there I guess they feel they can do whatever they want since you do pay in advance. Be very careful before choosing this business. read more
