First- they were spot on on the quote they gave us. Always a plus. Second- they brought a crew of 6 + 2 trucks. They worked fast and efficiently, took care of our stuff, tried their best to keep clean, and were very friendly. Can't ask for much more than that! Highly recommend! read more

Top Dog has moved our family/extended family at least 5 times in the past 7 years. They are amazing, professional and hard working. Ray and Matt were wonderful and polite. Hard working and never stopped. I 100% recommend Top dog for any type move. Large or small they are by far the best. Thank you. read more

First time hiring them for a move. Ours was a small move from one apartment to another a couple of blocks away. But nonetheless, they were pleasant, professional, efficient and careful with our possessions. Would use them again without hesitation. Their pricing was clear and I appreciated that I could pay with a credit card over the phone. read more

Top Dog is my "go to" moving company. They have done multiple moves for me in and I've been very happy with every move. Matt and Mack are great guys and very good at what they do. I can't recommend them enough. They are 5-star in every way. Many thanks! read more

Go with this company, PEASE! I had a horrible experience with Same Day Movers and this company went above and beyond to help me. They are honest, loyal and compassionate company. I will forever appreciate your kindness!! read more

These guys are awesome! I didn't have a very big job but they treated me like an important customer. Reasonable rates and very reliable service. I've bookmarked them to make sure to give them referrals and so I can use them again someday. Response time was the 2nd fastest on Yelp when I asked for bids. The first company was super expensive. read more

I moved today and had an awesome experience! Kam and Vince were GREAT! Very polite, professional and very well mannered! I would recommend them to anyone and use them in the future! A+ read more

I used Top Dog a few weeks ago for my move across state lines a few weeks ago. In the past, I've used another company, but was frustrated with service last time as well as additional surprises and charges, including an unmentioned "no credit card on sunday" rule. No problems like that here! I was given a firm quote and told that it would not change, and it didn't. The movers themselves were all great, taking care or my heavy and expensive furniture, delivering it as if it was their own. The move started and ended well within the expected time frame. My only complaint: I requested, and then called to confirm that the truck would include garment boxes and was assured it would. It didn't. This wasnt a huge issue in the end as they were able to use some crates to similar effect, but I did end up having to dry clean all my suits due to dust. At the end of the day, I'd use them again in a heartbeat. read more

We had the BEST experience moving with Top Dog ever! Frank and Cameron were absolutely the most professional and hard working young men we have come across in a long time!!!!! They moved our stuff with the utmost respect! Couldn't say enough about the service and professionalism these guys showed today!!! Amazing moving company you would be crazy not to use them... **AWESOME** These guys are great! I was in desperate need of a moving company. I hadn't had any luck for 3 weeks!! I saw Top Dog on Yelp and from the first phone call, they IMMEDIATELY contacted me back and got me a quote ASAP and were able to schedule a date that was in pretty short notice. I was so happy!!! The day they showed up, they were very friendly from the get to, easy to talk to and in letting them know what we needed done. They were very professional, fast, accommodating and very careful with all of my possessions and made sure they were careful when they moved everything out of my old home and into my new home. They even helped with swapping out washers & dryers, and that is no easy task!! They ended up spending basically all day moving and getting things done for us and I couldn't be happier with this company. I would recommend them to anyone. They're awesome! read more

Top Dog Movers are the best movers I've ever worked with. They're the fourth mover I've worked with in the past 20 years. They moved my mother's things from a house in Michigan to a small condo in the DC suburbs. The office staff were very polite and responsive. The movers were also very nice--and very careful with her things. My mother was concerned about her antiques, and they set her at ease. They arrived very promptly in Michigan, wrapped furniture very carefully, and moved it out efficiently--after protecting the floor with pads. They appeared with the truck at the condo right at 9am, as advertised, worked through a sweltering DC day, and remained polite and efficient throughout. It took us a long time to find a mover for this job many simply ignored our inquiries, and others failed to get back to us with a proposal, even after we requested it. One told us that they would keep the furniture in storage for 1-2 weeks for delivery, which was a deal-breaker. Top Dog delivered on all of their promises and made moving much less stressful than I anticipated. Their price was also much cheaper than the other quotes we received: $4K. The most expensive quote was $10.5K! We're very glad we went with Top Dog. read more

Our 25 mile move was totally stress free! Top Dog Movers are very professional and fast. As with any moving company, I would recommend getting an in home estimate prior to booking so they can view all your large items and boxes. This not only helps you get a more accurate quote but also allows for them to determine the appropriate number of movers and trucks to make the move as fast as possible. Woody, Frank, and Richard were on time and professional. They answered all our questions and astonishingly quickly hauled stuff from house to house. They were strong and organized during move. Even large, oddly shaped pieces we didn't think would fit were handled with care while being brought up stairs. They were also very fast and didn't miss a beat. There was one lower quality item that was damaged in the move and they were quick to show us and let us know. I called many companies in the area searching for a reasonable hourly rate. Top Dog gave us one of the best quotes and did a great job. While other companies would have gotten the job done, Top Dog did it fast, efficiently, and professionally. read more

The movers at Top Dog did an outstanding job moving us across town with a tough move (lots of heavy furniture and unfavorable weather conditions). They were all very careful with our belongings and in our homes, and we really appreciate how attentive they were. From the first phone call to the last item, everyone was very friendly and helpful, too. Highly recommend them without question! read more

These guys did a great job moving our things! They worked carefully and efficiently. We had multiple locations to pick up bulky furniture and they were happy to help! The bad weather did not cancel or slow down our move, they were ahead of schedule for driving conditions and on time, considering I thought we could cancel due to ice. We saw them work as a team, they knew what they were doing, it's a job well done! We were more than happy to tip them and provide breakfast for an early morning! read more

On time, courteous, and so friendly! They called and confirmed and treated our belongings with great care! Pricing was right where we were looking. No weird additional fees or hidden costs. Straight up pricing! Will use them again. read more

I purchased a Groupon for Top Dog for a move the end of August. I have contacted their number three times in the past 8 days and left my information. I also filled out their online quote with my contact information. I have had no response from this company after 4 contacts. I am so disappointed with their lack of customer service and professionalism. I was looking forward to working with them. Very disappointing. read more

Too dog movers is top notch. Reasonably priced and quick to provide estimate. They very gladly agree to a last minute change in our move date. The crew arrived on time, was very efficient and professional and friendly. Got the move done in under 7 hours for a 4 bedroom house. Disassembled and assembled all furniture and was very careful with handling. Happy to recommend. read more

*AMAZING* service: incredibly polite & honest movers. They were scheduled to arrive at my old apartment between 9 & 9:30 am, and they called when they were about 10 min away. They updated me about the move (how many more pieces/trips they'd have to take, etc) the entire time. When we arrived at my new apartment, not only did they set up my bed, they put all my boxes where they needed to go (e.g. "Kitchen", "bedroom", "bathroom", etc) They were VERY easy to work with! My move wouldn't have been so smooth without Jay & Patrick! I'm so thankful! read more

Top Dog helped us out with our recent move to a new house. They arrived during the time I was told and after walking through the house they got right to work. They worked very efficiently and quickly, having my house loaded onto the truck in under 3 hours. Once at the new house they unloaded in just about 2 hours. They treated all of our belongings like they were their own. They wrapped all items that needed to be for protection and even put down runners throughout my houses to protect the floors and carpets. These guys were great to work with and took a lot of stress off of during a stressful time. I would hire them again for any move I have in the future. read more

Used these guys for a move, won't do that again. They move like snails, they charge by the hour so you can figure it out. Damaged our dresser, scratched a lot of our furniture and we can't find the hardware that they took apart from our dining table...thanks They use people to work for them who are not professional movers, after talking to one of the guys he let me know he was a buddy of one of the other workers and was there to make a couple of extra bucks. If I wanted buddies I would have asked mine, and not had to pay anything. The one guy will move some stuff and the other two just stand there watching him...why not there paid by the hour Cost me way more than it should have, after calling the owner to voice my concerns he tells me " my guys are good" I beg to differ, your guys stink. To top it off the guys helped themselves to our master bath to do there business, very unprofessional. First, you should ask the home owner. I would have directed them to the half bath. They were also going through our stuff, they would find stuff and bring it out and show the other guys..tacky, unprofessional and they move like senior citizens. I'm sorry that's not fair, I've seen a lot of senior citizen's that would do circles around these guys. so not worth it read more

I have used Top Dog Movers twice now. One for a local move from my moms 1 bedroom apartment. They were amazing. There was a snow storm that day but they still showed up on time and were very quick, polite and careful with everything. Move was done in 4 hours during the storm! The second time was to move my son's 2 bedroom apartment in Alabama back to my house in Michigan. Frank showed up on time, moved everything out in just a few hours, and was back in Michigan the next day to deliver everything. Including some very heavy things up the stairs with no damage to walls or furniture. I can't say enough great things, quick, polite, careful. No damage to anything. They always seem to go above and beyond. Very hard workers and really care about doing a great job. Thanks again! read more

Thanks to my fellow Yelpers for leading me to this company for a recent move. I could not be happier with the results. My questions were answered promptly and an estimate given immediately. The two men handling the move showed up right on time and were professional and thorough. They made sure we were happy with the results and were a pleasure to work with. I cannot recommend them highly enough and would use again in a heartbeat. read more

I had a underestimated move from the original quote. The guys were wonderful to work with and made the move so much less stressful than it would have been for me. I had some expensive pieces that not one previous mover left unscratched but this crew was very careful with everything. The owner even came out to help at the end of the day to help finish the job and worked with me to come to an acceptable price. Highly recommend this company. read more

Called Mike 2 weeks ago for a last minute move. He spent several hours re-arranging his schedule to fit us in. Anytime I called the office I spoke to Crystal and she was wonderful. The crew was really the icing on the cake. They showed up early and did a quick walk through then got underway. They were all friendly, thorough and professional. They packed the truck well and were really good at handling our furniture. We moved about 20 miles away and nothing got damaged or even remotely messed up. These guys were great. I had some questions about the charges afterward and both Crystal and Mike were prompt and courteous and took the extra time to explain everything to me. I look forward to using Top Dog in the future for all of our moving needs. Thank you Mike, Crystal, and the rest of the Top Dog moving team! read more

I have used them twice, I would agree with all other reviewers. I would like to add that they did basically the same move we did previously with another company, about 30% faster, and with more care. read more

Joe and his crew are GREAT. We used them for the second time in less than a year (just getting a feel for the metro Detroit area) and they were fantastic. We had Ed and his crew show up for both moves. Hardworking, friendly, considerate and totally affordable. So affordable that, guilt getting the better of me for making the guys work on a Sunday, I could afford to double their tip. Huge thumbs up to a great local business that helped us cart our stuff around in the heat and rain. read more

Outstanding! Frank and Patrick were efficient and pleasant. Best movers I've ever had and I have moved around the country. Cost was very reasonable too. $400 less than Two Men & A Truck quote. Perfect! So happy! read more

We needed to move a 550 lb bar from Pottery Barn to our home. We contacted a few places to get quotes. We ended up going with Top Dog and couldn't be more pleased. I work with Jennifer to set everything up. I can't say enough wonderful things about her, she was so helpful! She even called Pottery Barn to confirm everything. The day of the delivery everything went great! Their prices were better than the other places we were quoted and they responded right away to our phone calls. If we ever need to move an item again, I will definitely be contacting Top Dog. read more

Have to give 5 stars to Top Dog Movers! This was our first move in about 15 years, and we definitely made the right choice. Their pricing was competitive, And I loved that there were no hidden fees/costs, so very easy to understand and know where your moving costs would land. Their movers were polite, worked fast, and we have not found anything to be broken or damaged during the move. Everything went great and I would highly recommend them. Thanks very much! read more

Wow! Top Dog movers were amazing. Chris and D were such a pleasure to deal with! They went above and beyond and took the stress out of the moving process. Very professional, thorough, honest, SUPER efficient, and polite. Great people and super customer service. I can hardly describe the relief and peace of mind they provided with such great care they took. I enthusiastically and highly recommend them. read more

Disappointment all around. Late movers that are under the influence and aggressive with an owner that avoids answering questions.

They marked walls scratched furniture and dented dryer. Then after unpacking discovered they stole toolbox with all my good tools. After several calls would not reimburse me for tools, they wanted receipts! They are TOP DOGS all right. read more

When I first contacted this company, primarily due to reviews of previous users, for my moving from an apartment via a storage place to my new house, I was not quite sure if this company will be good or not. After using this company, I can comfortably recommend it to my friends. Very professional, with not a slight sign of intentional delaying, and almost perfect in loading, unloading, and handling my things from and to the two locations. Most of all, they came at the time they promised! Of course, it was about 50% higher in cost compared with that I did it by myself - hiring movers and a truck separately - when I moved from my previous home to the apartment. However, I would say it definitely was worth of the higher cost. In fact, the company was about 30% lower than another equivalently reviewed company who even charges protecting pads etc. that I believe should be included in the quote. The only one weird to me was that it did not ask me a contract paper signing but a phone call for a reservation. Since it was their way of business, it was ok finally. read more

1st Class! I called Mike 3 weeks b4 our December move and he gave me a fair price on my move from metro Detroit to north Chicago. On the day of the move, Teddy and his crew showed up at 8pm as we agreed, and they had the foresight to bring a 26ft truck. I guess I underestimated the amount of things my wife and I had to move but Teddy, Mike, and I were able to renegotiate on the spot. I honestly think that any other moving company would have looked at the overwhelming amount of furniture and boxes and would have tried to reschedule if not cancel. But Teddy and his crew took on the whole task which took them most of the night and in the freezing cold no less! Our things filled up the entire 26ft truck up to it's gates. After all this work, Teddy and his crew started driving out to Chicago the next morning. Long story short, they delivered all my items in working order and only one dresser had a scratch on it. Teddy even offered to buy and mail us a kit to fix it. They put our california king bedframe together and even helped bring in existing furniture from the garage of the new property. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the work ethic and professionalism. Will def refer them to everyone I know!! Thank you Teddy for helping us out so much!! read more

My husband and I moved this past June. We were lucky enough to use Top Dog, and can't say enough good things about the guys. They were friendly, speedy and very very through. We had lots of heavy stuff, and they went above and beyond for us. Thanks again guys, sorry it's taken me a good 10 months to actually write this. We'd recommend them to EVERYONE! read more

I used Top Dog twice: once to move from Dearborn to Grosse Pointe, and the other time to unload a storage POD at my house. The only thing I did not like was that I was charged 1/2 hour for driving time to my location. Everything else about the company was very good. The workers were very polite and they did a very good job. My wife, like most, is extremely picky and apprehensive about other people moving her stuff, but the guys that helped us were very good. They did a good job unloading the POD, but the move across the city was the most helpful. Compared to two guys and a truck, the rate was very reasonable. read more

It's refreshing to work with a company that has ethics and cares about the customer. I used them recently to move from Fenton and they were great. The movers were pleasant, careful and mindful of my possessions. They wrapped all of my furniture in plastic and were careful loading it onto the truck. I had a small issue arise and the owner of the company personally called me and apologized. I highly recommend this company for your next move. read more

Amazing company. They came recommended to me and now I will always highly recommend TopDog for anyone's moving or storage needs. The crew went above and beyond even on our cold and blustery moving day. I was a fanatic about my new home with hardwood floors and new paint and all the snow, the care they took to make sure my home stayed that way was outstanding.
